@@DaDitka Jones's part is obviously necessary to the sketch, but Palin's acting is brilliant. His expressions and inflections perfectly resemble those of someone trying desperately not to laugh. Look at the way he braces himself before Jones enters the room.

I like to think this is Graham Chapman's uptight Colonel character just snapping and deciding that if Britain is going to be as silly as Monty Python, then he might as well join in on the comedy to spite them. Also, the man who makes people laugh uncontrollably - does anyone else get the feeling he naturally releases some kind of nitrous pheromone? That would probably explain why no-one can look at or even listen to him without breaking down into laughter.

The Python skits were always a wee bit wacky/silly.. but still funny.
