  • I install a PRL Motorsports intake on my 2021 Honda Accord Sport 2.0 Turbo. Very easy install, no modifications required and defiantly impressed with the results. Would defiantly recommend to anyone trying to get that extra performance and sound from there car.

    Nice color, I had a hard time deciding what one I wanted. I ended up going with the Lunur Silver. I'll be ordering that intake soon too. 👍

      I appreciate it & silver also a nice color. Definitely a good choice on the intake I’m sure you’ll be happy with the performance & sounds you get from it.

    Adding aftermarket intake does NOT void your warranty. The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act of 1976 protects you. They have to definitively prove the intake caused your issue you take it in for. Air compressor goes out? Not caused by the intake. Engine has a rod knock? Not caused by intake since you're not generating enough power to push the engine too far. Also, some dealers are more mod friendly than others.

      Well I definitely appreciate the info cause I honestly had no clue about that. So thank you now I know if I ever have a issue I should be good to take it to the dealership

    Thoughts on your intake do you like the setup just got a 2.0 Accord this past Thursday been watching you videos! I’m looking into k&N always been a fan of them.

    • @Oconnerboyy
      @Oconnerboyy  Před 3 lety

      Yeah I definitely like the extra sound I get from the set up I got now. It was cheap in my opinion so a good bang for your buck & really easy to install. K&N is a good option too I’m not sure if they sell a closed box which is what I prefer but if that’s your style then I would go with them.

    I couldn't for the life of me get the smaller end of the intake to sit flush against the housing. Anyone else have this problem? Not sure if it's a huge issue as its probably less than a quarter inch gap and the bracket is tight, it seems secure.

    • @Oconnerboyy
      @Oconnerboyy  Před 3 lety

      I personally don’t think it’ll be a issue as long as it’s all tight you shouldn’t have any problems out of it.

    • @Oconnerboyy
      @Oconnerboyy  Před 2 lety +1

      We’ll tbh with you do whatever makes you happy with the car, if you put your time and money into the car it’s to make you happy with it. If you want the sound maybe try looking into a blowoff valve that’ll make plenty of sounds for you

    What's really the benefit for getting the PRL hose and not just a filter replacement which can be even cheaper? Is the stock hose really bad? Stage 2 seems even worse for a box that's essentially the same as stock for an extra $285.00 more.

    • @Oconnerboyy
      @Oconnerboyy  Před 2 lety +1

      In my opinion getting the hose and filter combo is the best bang for the buck. The hose allows more constant air flow and less drag going through it. The filter instead of it being the paper one from the factory is a cloth material which also allows more air to flow through it & just a added benefit is that you can take it out and wash it then recoat it and reuse it again and again so no more need to buy a air filter for a long time. Hopefully this helps.

      @damacknificent151 Před 2 lety

      @@Oconnerboyy that's what I'm saying. Like a K&N drop in air filter going to cost $45.00 instead if $140.00 plus or $419.00 plus. Has the sane effect hi flow air filter in the stock intake. Buy the $45.00 hi-flow air filter and with the rest of the money you save by a k-tuner. 🤷‍♂️ makes more sense to me, but it's just me

    • @Oconnerboyy
      @Oconnerboyy  Před 2 lety

      To be honest with you in my opinion I didn't physically feel a difference in power or acceleration. Just cause of the fact that its a small modification. It says that you'll gain 16+ hp but you won't really feel that cause its such a small difference. I do hear a difference tho when you rev the engine with the stock hose vs the PRL hose. The stock hose is ribbed vs the PRL which is smooth causing less restriction of air flowing through it.

    This 100% voids the warranty but if you ever take it in for warranty repairs, put the stock intake on, what they do is they’ll take pictures of anything aftermarket and black list your VIN from any warranty repairs. Not all dealers but I wouldn’t risk it.
