That's what my 85" Sony X900H wants to be when it grows up!
It's evolve
Mines is 65 inch so I have a portable compared to this and yours 😄
I got a 77" a80j oled. I need atleast a 83" oled now. The 77" looks small
Love seeing Robert Zohn . He is always so positive.
I've only talked to a few people that have actually purchased and installed one of these in their homes, but everyone that I know of that owns one absolutely raves about how great it is and how much they love everything about it. I did see a few places that recently put this model on sale for $11,500 for a short period of time.
Less than 10 mins review is just nice . Short and sharp. 👌
Sony not sharp hahahahahah, just being smart
Wow that's gorgeous, can't wait to hear more about Sony X92J, thanks for sharing Sparechange, Robert Zohn, and VE staff, I bet that thing is super bright in a dark room!😎
2:47 I love how he calls it a TV. I’ve had apartments smaller than this thing lol.
Loved the box unboxing the box details! 😁
Wow! This looks amazing. I had value electronics deliver a Sony 85" X950H all the way to Utah. I payed for their pro calibration. It has been great. I think one of these 100+ inch screens is in my future. I am definitely going to buy from Value Electronics again. I very much look forward to seeing more specs on this TV.
I just bought Sony’s 85” tv and spent $2,000…. Best viewing I’ve ever seen! Beautiful picture!! Prices should be below 5 grand on the 100” in a few years…. Anybody remember how expensive plasma tv’s were??? They’ve gone the way of the dodo bird
Very professional guys, hello from Ireland!
My plan has always been to wait for TV's to get over 100" and under $10k in the next 5 years instead of upgrading my projector. I can see 110" at that price in 5 years and I will replace my 112" projector screen in a heartbeat
Can't hide a 100 inch TV the way you can hide a 100" projector screen.
@@hamsterbrigade why on earth would you want to hide a 100" TV or a screen for that matter? That's just silly
@@shaneducholke364 For an invisible installation. I use a hidden 151 "screen and 6.2.4 Setup. Almost nothing can be seen of it. A black screen is always present.
98 inch Xiaomi can be had for AUD13, 900 now
@@stephenang499 lol yeah you go by that garbage
I just bought the 75" version. Best TV I've ever had.
Whats the standard sound like ? Without sound bars
My team here at Best Buy in northern Indianapolis (Westfield) sold one of these last month. This thing is beautiful.
Saw that huge TV in Paris at Audio video show. Quite stunning!
When I grow up... I want a TV like this one! :)
Thing is so badass lol I can't believe they made it able to keep black letterbox bars black even the z9j can't do that lol this is crazy af man
Even Watching It In My Phone,The black levels look Perfect !
You can see the blooming artifacts on it. It stands out like a sore thumb on my 65 inch oled. :)
My biggest worry about this TV would be disposing of all the packaging. Get out the saw!
I had a Sony HD CRT years ago which weighed the same as this. It was only like 37 inches or so. My how times have changed.
my first 65" Mitsubishi weighed 375lbs in 1999.
100" to play Master System
Yup, back when 26” CRT was a big screen
Remember when a 26” CRT was considered a big screen?
I have a 36”CRT w/PIP that needs rigging & an engineered lift plan in order to get it out of the house. 😉😆
Watching this video now in 2023 where the X90L 98" and BZ40 100" panels from Sony are now AUD$13K and AUD$14K respectively, and it's great to see the steady decline in the price tag in a short time (despite current inflation).
While this size won't suit everyone, I can't wait until they are sub-$10K in general, which might not be too far!
We just purchased I have the old 90 inch Vizo we’re excited
Nice where did you get it and how much was it?
I’m going to wait 3 years from now and I’ll definitely have one in my family room.
At this time, i guess 120”-150” tv will come out. Lol
Looking gorgeous 😍
Have you been working out Shane? I see you flexing those biceps whilst lifting the tv almost single-handed! 😉 💪🏻
Good to see the man, the legend Robert featured on this channel again. 👍🏻
I want a 100 inch oled. My new 77 A80j feels small in the basement. Glad to see more big sets coming.
I also have a 77" a80j in the living room. It feels small now as well. I should have got the 83" a90j atleast.
Would love to see Side by Side comparison with a ust projector!
Hey Shane!
Excellent work on this coverage!
Man the X92J is a BEAST no doubt!
Think you could take a look at the 85 inch Z9J next? Would be stellar to say the least!
czcams.com/video/VbVotJcm8nM/video.html
@@therealshanelee Ok I've seen the Shootout. Spectacular showcase but I seriously would like an exclusive look with the set on it's own by you! ✌
Nice, looks like I just need to take the roof off my house so I can get the lid off the box 😁
Hung one of those for my job in MN. Took 4 installer to lift into a recess mount. Nothing like hoisting half a salary above your head. 20k ain’t no joke
I’m over here excited for my 77 inch to be delivered n I see this shit lol 100 inches incredible!
Finally! A 100 inch TV that's not a projector! The future is finally here!
AWESOME.....
AMAZING TV....😍🤩
I’ll be curious to see if the XR processor has any issue with a screen that size
That's outrageous
damn that's beautiful!
Amazing monster tv. The QN900A should go for a 100" too.
That's a huge tv my little friend
I need that tv now
Any chance there's a review coming of the reavon 4k players?
Can't wait for 100" TVs to be standard in every home. Home theater setups in living rooms in 10 years will be standard.
I going to pick this up next year but how is the hdr on it to play the ps5 games
Man
Thats awsome
How is the pixel response?
I just love Sony, they just give you products at many different budget levels, hey you want a large 4k display 100in X92J, you want best picture quality, Z8 & Z9 8k series, you want OLED A90J & A80J, you want premium 4k flagship, X95J, you want a gaming display X90J, Sony audio is on fire as well with HT-A5000, HT-A7000, HT-A9, pricing is good and the products are creating great experiences at home, bravo Sony and take my money 2021 & 2022!! Thank you again for sharing this beautiful display👌🏿👍🏿👍🏿💪🏿💯
Agreed 👍I want to see this in person. I could see myself waiting on Z9j and saving for this thing.
Need peak brightness numbers.
@@JohnDoe-ns9yo Go for it but my allegiance is with Z9, it would be nice to see Z9G 98in next to X92J 100im, thats premium right there!😎😎
@@shamarlawrence9429 wife would serve me divorce papers before Best Buy could get it delivered 😏
@@JohnDoe-ns9yo why? You're not allowed to spend your money?
That tv is perfect for me !!!!
the screen reflects quite a lot of the background, almost throughout the whole video can be seen. Is there any way that this can be fixed, for example changing the profile of the picture or something else?
Pretty sweet 🤙🏼
Ah, the TV I’ll always admire while in store, but never in my own home lol
Hey guys - not many options for media consoles for 100" class TV's , what is the x92 sitting on in this video?
what model number wall mount would I need???
Now that's a TV!
Yikes, this is amazing and the good news is that within 24 months we'll be seeing 100" screens in Costco. For me, these prices would always have me shift to a projector and screen at 150+ inches. My first projector and Faroudja line doubler, from Sony professional cost almost $40k!
You'll need a brighter projector
Are you sure we will be getting 100"s?
Lord Robert, As Host maybe Reviewer Look Like 17 Years Old. Really Young And Energic. The Best Reviewer In Eart.
Im actually really impressed with the blooming, very little indeed.
For a TV with that price, I don't think anything less than perfect is acceptable. Then again, unless I become rich I won't be throwing that much money at a TV. I might go to €2000-€3000 for my next one if it's really good. My current one was €1500 and I'll be using it for at least 4-5 more years. But I will be getting one a size bigger the next time and I have a better job now that earns significantly more, so I have a bit more to spare.
Still there though which just makes me respect oleds no blooming 🤷🏻♂️ but you can’t get 100” oled so….
@@user-nr7yp2sl3l i also own an oled, but im pretty impressed with the Sony full array dimming. I did notice id did also have a bit of edge bleed of axis also though.
@@user-nr7yp2sl3l Large OLEDs are even more expensive though and they can't get nearly as bright. Also burn in with heavy usage. My viewing/usage habbits wouldn't allow any OLED to survive more than 2-3 years before suffering from permanent burn in.
@@thenonexistinghero I don’t game and I watch varied content, streaming services, 4K Blu-ray, tv, sports etc..so for me I don’t worry about oled and I love mine and the conditions of my room suit it perfectly looks fantastic, but yes oled is more expensive like you say when compared to lcd/qled/mini led and like for like sizing so I’d say a big 100” qled would look impressive due to brightness but I’d say if you had your own cinema you couldn’t go wrong with either technology it’s just pricing.
Unreal. This is the future.
4K tv or 4K projectors which one is best for viewing experience and life time
Does this have more in common with the X90J or X95J?
finally a tv you can stand in front of and not even notice, kinda like a fly. lol
Yes.
It's a dream of mine to own a TV like this.
$20.000 dollars and you can get one.
Save your spare change
not available in France? compar to hisense 120L9
the dream
That's one Big ass TV.
I have a Sony Bravia 55 inch LCD HDTV. When it turns on and off it makes a pop sound. People say,``That's not normal.'' Should I buy a new TV? I bought it in 2011 from Costco.
Ok so I’m returning my 83” OLED…
Do it!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Background music killing it, please soundtrack name at 4:46
Thanks Robert. Just a question what is your recommended settings on the X900H when putting in custom mode?
I recommend just putting the X900H in the Custom picture mode and do not adjust any other settings. Without a proper meter, test patterns and calibration software you cannot improve the image performance accurately.
@@valueelectronics9390 Thanks.
What is the zone count?
I’m definitely not into projectors myself so tvs this large are nice to see. The Sony actually looks better than I thought, I’d still like to see the 98” QN90A and see how they compare
Do a little more research on some good quality projectors you'll be surprised how good they are. I was like you before until I did my simple setup. True 1080p quality slight better than your theater with a good quality soundbar if you're in an apartment
QN 90A NEO is TOP position product
@@martinez1984eldrick projector have short life time around 3000 hours.... and you need dark room...
@@trumpameri1638 my Benq ms535a projector is a long throw and I've painted my screen with screen paint to enhance the color and contrast it made a huge difference. I don't have to always have to sit in the dark
@@trumpameri1638 gtz 380

The colors are stunningly gorgeous I tooked back cause I don’t like LCD , OLED does a better job
how is it with gaming? any input lag?
If you could keep this TV next to a 85 inch TV for perspective that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
I'll take one .I'll move the 85 i just bought to the bedroom 😁
I could build an entire home theater for that price but if you like it I love it
Ps5 on this would be AWESOME
So many polygons!!! 🤩
Oh my damn. I'm so jelly. Holy crow
How do you know if the flatscreen you're buying is too big? If there is no way you can get it into your home without knocking down a wall, that's way too big.
Sony Z9J 85in v Sony X92J would be a great comparison, Sony Z9G 98in v Sony X92J would be an incredible comparison as well😍🙌🏿💪🏿
The Z9G had noticable blooming when I seen it last time. There was none on the 92J. Maybe a different Z9G would perform better 🤷🏻♂️
@@therealshanelee Hmmm, interesting, I wonder is the backlight system the same on both models?🤔
@@therealshanelee I find it hard to believe Z9G 98in is a blooming disaster, it could be but Sony is still selling it for 60k? Does Z9G 98in & X92J share the same backlight system? Inquiring minds want to know🤔
@@shamarlawrence9429 my bad it was the Z9J I saw at the shootout. Not the G.
@@therealshanelee Its all good, I will let you know how that Z9J performs when I buy it, its next on my list, Samsung QN900A is a beast, reminds me of Sony Z9D
What’s the peak lumens?
Robert: I like big screens. If you were to chose between the Sony 85" 8K and the Sony 83" Oled or the 100" X92J which way would you go?
Do you game a lot? Or do yiy mainly want it for movies and stuff? Do you have kids thst game a lot? Do you plan to use it as a monitor (lol doubt it for a screen that size)
Go with the oled if you don't game or barely ever game. 100" seems really cool but the x92j is basically the x90j. The x90j has atrociously few dimming zones. And I imagine with it being led (and I assume not having a wide view angle layer since the x90j doesn't) the TV will be so large the sides might look a bit more washed out etc
If you do game a lot and want a led and have the money I'd go with the QN95A esp if you're in Europe
Who the hell want led TV for gaming. C1 is most popular gaming TV for reason.
@@jiririnagl302 Anyone who doesn't want to replace their TV yearly and uses their TV as a monitor and games seriously. C1 being popular means very little
Sony 83 oled arguably the best oled on earth for movies games sports anything you desire to watch or go for flagship 4k sony lcd tv x95j same design and features as oled cheaper more brighter great for very bright rooms and price is cheaper.
@@godofchaoskhorne5043 I don't know about the life expectancy but playing Warhammer total war 2 on this thing must give you a real nice view of the battle field.
Yeah sonys packaging kinda blew me away with the x900f and it was the same with the box that you removed from the top and clamps on the bottom etc
WOW 👑 SONY GOD FOREVER#1 ✌️ 👑
Can i buy this TV in Sweden?
Gonna go that big buy a projector.
Certified bruh moment
I was holding off buying a new TV when I heard this was coming out. I thought it would cost around $5000, but when they told me $20K, I bought the XBR85X900H instead.
Price please to purchase in The U.K.
btw- the Blacks on a 2017 Z9D can take the pepsi challenge with OLED blacks any day, i'm not surprised that the blacks on this are just as good
Woooow!!!
100" SONY TV, now we can have a nice rival to projector systems.
Except projectors still have the ability to reach a screen size of 300".
Good luck getting a TV that size through your door or living room window for that matter lol
@@scottpryorsz28 totally agree.
That Sony will only be rival for apartments and...good luck getting it through an elevator
Need a versus against Sony's OLED
Is it good for eyes health?
My dream tv is 100 inches, and I just bought Samsung tv 83 inches.
Have the perfect place for this tv but the price is my issue. Going for 15k now but I can see these going for 10k or less soon especially with UST projectors a better consideration for many or a newer 2023 Sony model appearing. This is now priced at the same price point as the JVC DLA-NZ8R which is my other option.
TV looks great and I don't have a lot of patience, so I'm going to stop watching/reading reviews of this model. I'm afraid these reviews will make me pull the trigger and buy.
even so, i am scoping the 83'' oled.esp. saving about 12 k
Hi is this a qled tv
I guess prices ARE coming down. In 2017 the Z9D 100" was $50K. Although, I doubt this TV matches the number of zones and Luminance on a Z9D.
Can it be wall mounted?
Yes
I don't know at what distance was the camera placed from TV but the screen door looks very bad.
This is where the Kaleidoscope media player would be worth it.
8:57 That BD-Player to your left will fall down because one foot is not on top of the table. I WISH I COULD LIFT A 100 LBS PLUS TELEVISION BY MYSELF.
