From the first collabs to this one, Virgil always stayed true to his roots while continuing to push the boundaries.
Got mine early access. I love them and hate them at the same time. The base shoe it self is top notch. The spikes are definitely something I wouldnt go for but I can also appreciate Virgil and he willingness to push the boundaries and I’m definitely happy to have them as one of his final works of art

I hit on early access for them and after wearing them for a few days, i love them! like you said they're decently breathable due to the mesh. and i dont really mind the spikes, i love the almost cyberpunk aesthetic to them.

Update: after 4 wears a few of the spikes on the sole have rubbed off. It hasn't effected the feel or comfort yet. Still a super dope and comfy shoe. The only thing I can say I don't like is that the tongue doesn't stay up straight. But no big deal.
When i first seen these i thought to myself what a monstrosity.. But now that i seen this review and looked at every detail and i can pretty much say this is a cop regardless of other people’s opinions on the shoe itself.
I recently ordered and got the black pair and I rocked them out yesterday to work and I love them. They’re a crazy shoe with all the spikes but I like it a lot it gives it a more “off-white” feel and look in my opinion. I also find them to be really comfy to wear and even tho people look bewildered by them when I was wearing them around town it didn’t bother me and I think they’re really cool.
Copped the white pair this morning, definitely glad to add this to my collection idk when ill wear them but they will be on display till then👍🏽 RIP Virgil

I would love to see a custom on these like removing the square blocks entirely (not just the spikey tips), and also sanding down some of the un-refined areas. I feel like this would give the shoe a brand new look and attract a lot more people.

I just copped the black pair and seeing these on your feet made the choice between the 2 alot easier. I mainly got these and the blazers because it was Virgils last couple of projects. I appreciate enough of the details in this shoe to say that I know I will wear them a few times.

We’ll never know for sure but I think the reason for the spikes is because of one of the original inspirations for the air force one was a lightweight hiking boot and that’s kinda what this feels like a hype lightweight hiking shoe
So funny I believed he did the box like that as a troll for resellers. Because they are the most angry right now that so many pairs were made available. They gave everyone an honest chance to own his final design. Which honestly .. is really cool. So yea we got bricks but a piece of Virgil’s legacy means a lot more than making a few bucks off just another pair of shoes. This time , it is an art piece meant to be appreciated. Not just the art but also the man behind the art.
I actually like the shoe now that I saw your review for some reason. Wish it didn’t have the spikes though. I am so sick of hearing people use the term “brick” for anything. The only people that use the word are resellers that don’t wear their shoes and only care about the value they can sell it for. Real sneaker heads wear the shoes regardless of the hype and resale value. We don’t need the resellers.
These shoes are on discount even in countries like India and nobody's buying them, they're literally in stock everywhere. I just dont get what those colorful spikes are for, they should've made it detachable instead of permanent.

Back in 2019 when I was working like a slave I purchased some Michelin under armor shoes that had wheel spikes under them most comfortable shoe ever ! Now Virgil made these with the same spikes under them I just cop them now!!
