    is the 3 layer red progressive spider better than the nightshades 5 layer stock one?

      Yes. Cooling is the only problem at full tilt on the 8k. I can get a good 4 songs before I gotta turn it down and let it cool down. The x series magnet and basket weren't designed for all that power but the subs are hands down better than stock.

I couldn’t find any information on it im debating about getting an nsv5 12 refurbished and built with those but I got pretty nasty power right now cause my taramps ate shit so im running my poor skar audio 2000 at half ohm and my current rs onyx likes to get pretty hot. Along with the amp being able to cook and egg

      @@rexnhogz sucks to hear your having problems with them cause I’d love a nightshade I should be able to make good enough pressure in my single cab for hair tricking but I’m not sure

      @@2025944 well a niteshade would have better cooling. And it's not necessarily a problem considering I'm giving 2 X12s an 8k at .7
