Neil Jones may be a Pro dancer, but even he was confused by the mysterious art of Cossack dancing. Here's what happened when he tried his hand (and feet!) at the unusual dance.

And they don't even breath heavy. Such an amazing and athletic dance.
В юности я занимался танцами народов России, так за часовой концерт ремень на концертных брюках приходилось затягивать на несколько отверстий. ))) Нагрузки очень велики
Brilliant, they make it look so easy when they perform , have seen them numerous times at this club and it's always a great show . Good effort by Neil ,especially with the clap in between kicks
I like Neil doing these different dances, he tries really hard to master the dance and makes it about the dance not a platform to showboat himself.
Top
If you think about it, this dance is actually an excellent body workout
Do it every day and be prepared to seariously kick arse :)
Cossack dancing is murder on your legs, let's not mince words about it. I would like to learn, but I don't think I'll survive.
I guess it was the purpose, since they were horseback peoples, they must have create those dances to help them warm their legs and works them X3
@@pitioti actually, cossack dancing derived from cossack martial art. and a dance was just a warm-up before martial art training

Hardcore dancing. Not much else can beat it in terms of smashing your body in. Love it.
they are crazy good!! and neil thought he was in shape, lol ;)
Neil did so well. But this was also very funny to watch ahah
Neil did really really well on that one. Fantastic!!!
Neil is brave! You need years and years of training for the cossack dancers to do that!
SCD Observer iiii
Proud to be a Canadian Ukrainian! Neil did a great job!
These people are beyond talented. Neil your a sport. Perfection.
I like it. So fun to watch and Neil really tries and do a lot of steps.
This dance reminds me the brazilian frevo. I'd love watch him trying it.
"Parece até um frevo" 😉
Nice I like their traditional costumes. They looks so full of energy. Perhaps that was the point, they are a bit wild and crazy unlike the more regimented Germans to the west.
haha! that last step... geez! wonderful dance.. neil tried his best!
A dance to celebrate victory in battle. It’s T-bagging with style. Incredible style
He did great!
If it's really his first try on those dances ( i don't believe it is) - but he is really, really good!
buddy dancing in the mail room 🤣🎄✉️
Awesome! Truly amazing! Your legs are very close to steel! Thank you for sharing!
I lost it at the WTF look he gives at 3:55 before eating it
At least he tried and couldn't get it right but yet I still can't do it at all. I love those Cossack dancing, baggy pants, and the hats.
I might incorporate cossack dancing into my exercise regemine
I feel like the fact that he could even get back up and was still breathing after a couple of those moves is praiseworthy. That would actually kill me.
Neil , you are a natural Are you sure you do not have any Ukrainian ancestors ? Well done !
They weren't only Ukrainians.
@@Katya_Lastochka In this case the piece by Neil was about Ukrainians in Manchester
It took me about 6 months to learn the last step (minus the clapping, which I basically gave up on)
How is this guy so good att his!! Wow!! Respect is right!
Beautiful 🎵🎵🎵♥️♥️👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Amazing
nice job, Neil!
Cool i really like this
They are great athletes!
Ahhhhh, 😯….I reached for the Advil just watching this!🥴!!! Wow!!! He did very well as a newbie!!!👏👏👏👏
AWESOME! :D Самцы!
Cossacks the original break dancers💂🏻
He was actually a spot on trooper
So wonderful and yet I had a great workout without doing the work..lol.
I want to see this on Strictly this year!
He got the attitude !
It’s a whole workout
you did Very well indeed
Cool
Reminds me of dance scene in the movie the man who knew too little
Legend has it that the Cossacks have the worst knees after age 25.
Looks great for the knees.
3:55 that looked natural!
Great finish!
Insane lol.
COOL😳😳
Wow
It seem like a great work out as well
I'll show you how to do it properly hold my vodka.
vodka goes to russians , we have horilka. dont mess with ukrainians calling us russians that offend us, unless you are looking for troubles on your ass.
@@bakhiman this dance is Russian/Ukrainian.
Overall, you did a great job.
He should try some of the currents of Balkan ,like Serbian current ,,Bugarka kolo" ,or ,,Uzicko kolo" ,maybe it could suit him and maybe like it .
LMAO, nice try.. I would like to learn ... but I would have a heart attack before I get dressed XDDD
3.12 ah ahhaa ha..finally I got down. Nice try, Neil!!
The leg workout holy shit.
What is the name of the place in Manchester?
wao
So russians have always been "getting sturdy".😂
You're really cool, 90% of newbies die in the first minutes
Respect for trying, and for the education. Entertaining, and yes difficult even to watch.

I am a German Bavarian Russian Ukrainian eastern European countries French African Irish Swiss decent person. I always love to watch the Cossack dancers, they always say that white man can't jump but yet what do you actually think of Cossack dancers who jump high in the air. They actually go sideways like a crab which is actually my favorite part of the Cossack dancing. As an American citizen I don't like America's dancing at all but only Cossack dancing. I tried to dance just like those Cossacks but yet I couldn't get it right for several years as a kid in the 70s and early 80s.
I like to show this clip to people who think this kind of dancing is easy.
I love Neil he is the Best, after Anton
😃🤗👏👏👏...
💙💛👍👍👍👍👍
That looks like so much fun but I’d prolly destroy what remains of my knees
He is one of the top WDSF dancers and he looks slow and less amplitude in every move these guys are doing. This is hard.....
Most centuries old warrior communities have a physically strenuous form of dance. For instance, the Cossacks and the Sikhs. It keeps them more fit before battle. During modern battles, being from a warrior clan is virtually meaningless: everybody in the warriors gets mowed down by enemy machine gun fire. During peacetime however, it shows. If an officer of any ethnicity is assigned such a regiment from a warrior clan, a soldier of a warrior nation may say " You want to win a war game contest! We will win it for you." that officer will invariably win almost all war game contests, if the soldiers under his command are from a historically brave clan .. in above video, atleast half of the dancers are likely of British ethnicity. Also, quick thinking ability is a factor for an army to stand out in terms of battlefield achievement.
#Ukraine #Cossacks #StandWithUkraine Awesome 💙💛
Is this the soundtrack from Borat?
i'd love to have those boots.... just in black
Husarenstiefel by Ludwig Reiter
Terek Cossacks wear black boots.
@@Katya_Lastochka awesome!
Looks more like a professional sport than a dance.
ha! ha! isn't there some war before the dance?
Let them dance this dance: czcams.com/video/a0fTVnhg7S0/video.html
It was odd at the start watching that dance followed up the accent of the dancer
The Ukrainian Cossacks are amazing…
The no horse and sword combo is even harder you don't need gravity
Btw I'm an astronomer
Hmmm... nice dance from super saiyan group.
Nice to have learned that the Cossacks originate from the Ukraine
Russian cossack dancing
TF2 predicted
Russian have many cossacks dancers too
Just for the record, Cossacks were not of Ukrainian origin. It's not a specific regional group, but a word that simply means "free man" or "rogue". They were mercenaries from all across the Russian empire, stationed where the fighting was worst, Ukraine and the Caucuses mostly, and they all had their own unique dances. I'd like to see Neil try the Cossack Lezginka dance of the Terek region.
Why is the hat necessary?
Is not true you need Russian hard bass to do efficiently suka
Pfff, i can do better! Hold my Samogon...
Vladimir Putin can do these moves, while riding on a bear
Владимир Путин недавно упал с лестницы и обосрался )))
) это украинская нацистская пародия на казаков
вот настоящие
czcams.com/video/wg9uPIaHEHw/video.html
Насправді нацисти це росіяни .
these dancers must be descended from Ukrainians who settled in Britain in the 1940s
You cannot do it...
I mean Ukraine was southern Russia back then
Back then? Cossacks existed during kievan rus, which wasn't Russia, but Ukraine and Russia, and there's been lots of other forms of ukraine with cossacks controlling them
Ukrainian dances ONLY, no room or any relation to russia. calling us russians - you offend us.
Great dancer but come on m8! Open up! We all know u are gay!!
