Folding Door Lock Installation (Single door without a closure channel)

This video demonstrates the installation of a folding door lock on a Single folding door that does not have a closure channel. Spectrum folding doors such as Horizon, Via and Contempra do not have closure channels.

My door is a single bifold door that opens outward (toward you when pulling open) would this work for that kind of door?
