Simba chips are low quality junk. You eat them often they will scratch the roof of your mouth. Stopped eating them completely. I guess there is something better in the USA since food is cheap.

When I lived in South Africa I'd always wanted to move overseas permanently, then I got a permanent job overseas and I've changed my mind completely now. Despite ANC, Zuma, Guptas, crime and potholes, SA you beauty. I'm never moving anywhere permanently, SA will always be home for me. 3 things I miss about SA: - Woolworths Food - Vrigin Active - DsTV I kid you not, you will not have any similar experience anywhere.

Over there I felt totally free, connected with mother nature, walking without shoes!, eating lovely game meat, traveling and spotting wildlife in National Parks and Nature Reserves... My husband was born in England, but raised in Johannesburg South Africa from age seven until he moved here to Canada in his early 40’s. He said one thing he misses is the jacaranda trees, with their purple blossoms, in September/October......which he told me is spring time there. We don’t have those trees here in Canada. Another thing he misses is celebrating Christmas in the summer. lol In other words, having Christmas in warm sunny weather. He REFUSES to acclimatize to our snowy cold winters here!! He complains bitterly all winter......even though we have plenty of warm clothing.....leaving us no excuse to complain about being cold! lol At this very moment, 9:20 am on Monday Nov. 11th (our Remembrance Day).....the air is SOLID WHITE with our first big snowfall!! YAAAAAY😁 👍🏻 🇨🇦 ❤️

In the U.K. we have so many big supermarkets! Tesco, Sainsbury's, Morrisons, Marks & Spencer, Asda and more! Also we have a big pharmacy store called Boots where you can buy everything from makeup to skincare, health care, baby's nappies, medicine and toiletries!
Lived in Uganda for 21 years and missed bovril, nice brown bread, good biltong, (to mention a few) for years. Also missed DisChem. Now I am like a child in a chocolate factory..every shop is amazing and the variety of the same food is almost overwhelming. Just great to be home - might not be for good but i will enjoy it while i can. I missed the way people talk - can listen for hours. Good luck with your adventures.
The best way to be happy is to stop chasing happiness. Happy is very self focused. Joy is the overflow of a greatful heart. Practice gratitude about everything. If you don't have big things to be grateful for because your spouse or your parent or your child died (mine did) be grateful for small things like chocolate. Give yourself permission to be happy when you suffer a great loss. Remember to always do the next right thing. No matter how bad you have messed up you can crawl out one right act at a time.

There’s Woolworths in Australia and discount chemists too. The cheapest one is called Chemist Warehouse. Woolworths stock SA food and people drive on the left hand side. Wide roads, braais galore, still potholes but no load shedding. Also you can see for kilometres the Forrest or the open fields and there’s lots of animals too.
I moved to Australia 6 months ago, I also miss Woolworths!! You never know how good it is until you leave!!! And the small packed food and the best!! You could always stop there before going to sport and get some delicious healthyish snacks!!

I didnt know Cream Soda wasnt in other countries i drink it all the time, and we braai and eat simba chips too so im shocked its not in other countries cause for me its like everyone knows about braai cream soda and simba chips
We have cream soda in australia but its red and taste nothing like south african cream soda

In the U.K. we have so many big supermarkets! Tesco, Sainsbury's, Morrisons, Marks & Spencer, Asda and more! Also we have a big pharmacy store called Boots where you can buy everything from makeup to skincare, health care, baby's nappies, medicine and toiletries!

Lived in Uganda for 21 years and missed bovril, nice brown bread, good biltong, (to mention a few) for years. Also missed DisChem. Now I am like a child in a chocolate factory..every shop is amazing and the variety of the same food is almost overwhelming. Just great to be home - might not be for good but i will enjoy it while i can. I missed the way people talk - can listen for hours. Good luck with your adventures.

The best way to be happy is to stop chasing happiness. Happy is very self focused. Joy is the overflow of a greatful heart. Practice gratitude about everything. If you don't have big things to be grateful for because your spouse or your parent or your child died (mine did) be grateful for small things like chocolate. Give yourself permission to be happy when you suffer a great loss. Remember to always do the next right thing. No matter how bad you have messed up you can crawl out one right act at a time.

There’s Woolworths in Australia and discount chemists too. The cheapest one is called Chemist Warehouse. Woolworths stock SA food and people drive on the left hand side. Wide roads, braais galore, still potholes but no load shedding. Also you can see for kilometres the Forrest or the open fields and there’s lots of animals too.

I moved to Australia 6 months ago, I also miss Woolworths!! You never know how good it is until you leave!!! And the small packed food and the best!! You could always stop there before going to sport and get some delicious healthyish snacks!!
