I finally get some time to spend with my new to me 2019 Audi A8L! I have wanted a full-sized executive luxury sedan for many years, and I am so excited to have this CPO A8 as my new daily driver. There is so much technology, luxury and cool features to discover on this luxury land yacht. Imagine doing a A8L review without ever showing the back interior
I bought a 2019 Audi A8L back in Feb of 2023. I love every minute of it and took it on a trip to FL a month later and it was AMAZING! Hands down the most comfortable car I've ever driven. Also got 30 mph down and back from Michigan to Florida.
I have a 2011 Audi A8L in candy apple red. WELOVE IT!!! We also picked up a 2015 Audi A7 Sportback in dark blue. Both cars are AWESOME❤❤❤❤

Brought a certified 2020 triple black A8L 60 last October and it has been amazing. I picked the A8 over a certified '18 Porsche Panamera 4S because of the tech and the desire for the twin turbo V8. I love the adaptive suspension (I keep it in INDIVIDUAL Mode with everything in DYNAMIC except the engine).
My friend has a previous gen s8 what a stunning car soo smooth!

Eddie, why'd you choose this over the S Class or the 7 Series? I cross shopped the A8, S Class, and the 7 Series. Ultimately I bought the 7 Series and eventually added an S Class.

here i am watching this going "wait till all those features start to break and most are useless ones..." and then I remember I daily drive a 2003 Bi-turbo S600 V12 and knock on wood every single thing still works lmao but def have to upkeep lol

After driving my 2018 D4 A8 4.0L for 2 years then driving a 2023 A8L for a week I personally just felt it lacked in many aspects that made the previous gen amazing. I know you drove the W12 previously, what's your thoughts? The newer model is LOADED with tech and an amazing computer, but it drives the same as an A4, the adaptive dampers don't feel quite as great. Sales manager kept telling me the goal was to make it not feel like you're driving a boat, which they accomplished. However, it being almost like a baby phantom is why i bought the 2018 for a daily. What made you go with this gen over the older or even an S-Class? I know the deprecation of these have been very tempting, but it just isn't the same A8 drive feel. I do love the upgraded infotainment that's my largest gripe of the previous gen which is why its lovely you can hide the screen in the dash!
Previous gen def felt a bit less boat-like, but I wanted the latest and greatest technology, and also wanted to be in an isolated cocoon. Having tried the RS7 'best of both worlds' formula, I just wanted pure luxury. I considered the previous gen S-class, but comparable year/mileage ones were like $10-20k more expensive, plus that would have also been a previous gen car! It just came down to being a bit partial towards Audi and finding a nicely specced good deal car locally.

Audi A8L Horch is the top of the line. Unfortunately, Audi doesn't sell it in the United States. 🙁
Really love that you picked this up, I like the idea of getting a large comfortable sedan for everyday use / as a winter car. How smooth is the powertrain, comparable to the V8?
Not quite as smooth and effortless as the TT V8, but pretty good. even tho it is the 48V mild hybrid I still find the stop start system to be a bit jarring at times. Actual engine itself is nice and torquey.

Does the A8 have an hold feature?
If you're referring to the brake hold feature, where you can take your foot off the brake pedal at stoplights or any other time you come to a temporary stop, then no, it does not. For some maddening reason, Audi removes this feature from all North American vehicles, although it is available in all other markets.
@@drw1926 thanks for the response, it's interesting all other manufacturers have adopted this feature, while Audi didn't include it here in the US😬 it was my deal breaker not buying the A8 a year go .

Amazing car, yours is actually has the upgrade headlight, which is a must have, the standard headlight on the prefacelift A8 is just no good looking.

@@EddieX Probably the smart move financially, car prices coming down now. The Z06 is best of both, american muscle and supercar. The A8 is a nice daily, now that we are a bit older we can appreciate luxury cars a bit more :)

Audi's are amazing until they run out of warranty or exceed 60k miles. When you hit either of those milestones it's game over. BMW are no different either. It's sad because as a European we used to always have the motto of 'Only buy German or Japanese'. We don't say that anymore...

Yes timing belt thermostat and water pump change is brutal and the whole bumper has to come off
67k+ miles on my 22 M3. Outside of basic maintenance and a windshield, I’ve had no issues. I put 160k on my 00 A6 4.2. 228k on my 01 A4 1.8t. 118 on my 97 M3. 112k on my 00 Jetta. And 28k on my 19 GTI before selling it. I’ve had good luck with German. Though I must admit that I suffered an IMS bearing failure on my 07 911 C2S. But I’d say I’ve had more good than bad.🤷🏾♂️
My 1 owner 9 years old BMW with 100k miles has been bulletproof. Don't know why people are so afraid of German cars, just say you cannot afford their maintenance.
Lol, this car is not worth hand wash. It probably already has much swirls. Cheap looking and can be had at any used car lot in America. Interior is cheap too. So sad to give up your Mustang for this junk.
