  • 💥Note💥Because the mapping of the Hotas One, with the Xbox version of MSFS 2020, are somewhat faulty, setting both the Cockpit & External View in freelook mode with your hat switch, can sometimes cause erratic view behaviours - hopefully this will be patched soon!

      @@Huddison Hi Huddison. I noticed that you changed your cockpit camera settings from this video compared to the Oct 20 2021 "Xbox FS2020: My Hotas One Button Mappings & Sensitivity Settings after Sim Update 6!" video. I have followed your settings in this July 29 2021 video, but can't figure out how to pan around on the instruments. Any tips?

    • @Huddison
      @Huddison  Před 2 lety

      @@PhilRavlin Do you mean going from left and right instrument views etc?
      Go down to instruments using 'previous pilot position' ( I have my hat switch down set to this);
      Then assign your hat switch Left/Right for next/previous instrument view - this won't interfere with your quick views left and right, when you're in the default cockpit view.

    Thank you so much for this video. After having 'dealt' with MSFS for a year now -and with flight sim a lot longer -, I thought myself accomplished enough to show a couple of setup 'tricks' and teach some basic flying and navigation skills to a collegue of mine, who had eagerly awaited the xBox release, buying all recommended stuff (Hotas 1, mouse, keyboard). Boy, was I mistaken! I felt so stupid, when the assignments per scanning did not work at all, searching all fault by myself - I should've known better. At least he has guidance now to set up the hat switch properly, and the reason why it wouldn't work.
    Being so used to TrackIR and/or the hat switch on my Bravo for cockpit views, I thought the xBox version was hardly flyable. I barely managed to find the runway with the default quickviews :)))

    Great Video! As I am pretty new to Flight Simulator 2020 on Xbox Series S and the Hoyas One I watched already several videos you made. I discovered myself the mess with the setup of the Hotas One and beside the settings described here I decided to stay on the default for now.
    Unfortunately I did not get done like in the video and have now explanation for it.
    Here is what I did: Deleted everything from the camera settings beside the reset to default view and the F1 smart camera. Then I added the POV axis to let, right, up, down, down-right and so on external and internal.
    This work as expected but even if I haven't touched anything with the A-Key when I release my parking break the pilot start viewing up-right. When I delete the profile everything is OK. But creating again the profile result in the same behaviour (even if I choose default profile again).
    So I am on default again waiting for a fix. Where would I see such a fix is available?

    I bought this because the normal controller was confusing to use. I guess it was a waste of money since this seems more confusing than just learning the normal controller. I do not want to do all this if it won’t even save when I am done. You say “hat switch” but I am not sure what button that is and how you can have so many things on one button. Please understand I do not think this is your problem. This is my first joystick and I am new to flight sim and Xbox so I am just way behind! I subbed so maybe when they fix the issues and you redo the video it will make more sense and not be so frustrating. Looking for a relaxing hobby not something frustrating and more work! Lol

    After day 1 and looking at the button mapping for the hotas one and finding out on the controls settings that some of the buttons come up the same as F2. After spending most of day 1 trying to figure it out i just went and fly and all the controls are the same as my Hotas T Flight X for ps3/pc what i used for MSFS2020 on PC so all was fine and i did not have to change any button mapping. One problem we have though is that Sensitivity settings on the Hotas One do not save once you quit and reopen the game again as they reset back to default. The other thing i'm a bit annoyed at is when using a mouse, you cannot interact with the instrument panel when in cockpit, have to use the xbox controller mouse which when moving the cursor with the left stick on the controller also moves your airelons on your plane, so i have had to delete the xbox steering with controller button mapping as i use the Hotas for flight, and now the mouse move with controller does not effect your planes movement. Great video, keep up the good work.

    • @Huddison
      @Huddison  Před 3 lety +4

      Thanks for those fantastic comments and your own research. It's a shame that the sensitivity settings don't save for the Hotas One currently; it kind of makes my upcoming settings video slightly redundant, but I'll go ahead and keep to a promise and post it at the weekend.
