Thanks for the tutorial. The custom camera views can make some really nice screenshot cameras with the smaller aircraft where your cockpit and the passengers are all accessible with the cockpit free cam stuff.

Hi 👋 I really appreciate your help with these videos 📹 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I was very lucky to have the xbox series X on the release day I've been into flying since I was a very young child I've had flying lessons I've even done stunt flying I got quite far even with my flying lessons as I wanted to be a commercial airline pilot but due to health reasons I had to stop ☹ I was very fortunate to have the BRITISH AIRWAYS CONCORDE flying over our house in the morning & early evening not long after take off which that & the The Boeing 747-400 & 747/8 is my favourite planes & of course the Eurofighter Typhoon.I've been into gaming since my very first ever computer was a Commodore VIC 20 & I've had every SEGA CONSOLE going I do own a GAMING PC which is just over 4 years old & got to the point of not updating it. I was so thrilled to hear about MSFS 2020 coming to xbox series X I've been with them from the beginning 15 November 2001. I have a question, I really enjoy your videos! I have created some custom camera views for one of my aircraft inside and outside. My question is when you are outside the aircraft what has to happen in order to rotate slowly around the aircraft as well as zoom in and out to create camera views? Thank you! G Wiley
Probably best using a mouse to rotate around, as well as zoom in & out, when in external view.

Hiya. I use the cheapest Logitech wireless keyboard and mouse, with the dongle on the front usb port of my series X and they work just fine. It is necessary to add the keyboard and mouse as trying to get by using only the game pad is very challenging and limiting.

Great Video & really helped setting up the custom instrument views. Can I just ask I've set the instrument views up on the A320 but when I go into say the ATR the views don't work as set for the A320. If I set them up in the ATR will they still work in the A320?
I think you may have to set them per aircraft (make sperate profiles for them to avoid conflictions).

Hey there again. Quick question I want to change one of the showcase fixed cameras for the wing view from inside cabin. The camera is #12 but in the options it only goes 0-9 I am going to change the outside wing view to the (end+f9) option as in your video. Can I do the same thing for the #12 view and change it to like f8 since I dont like that view. TIA! 😀

My series x is coming tomorrow, I got it purely for this simulator. I have the thrustmaster hotas and rudder pedals and a mouse. Is that enough to do all the controls or am I best getting a keyboard as well. Love the videos by the way
Wow you're pretty much set for a top notch experience there - A keyboard would be useful for the viewing system; depending on which aircraft you intend to fly.
@@Huddison thanks for the reply. I will get a key board then just so I have everything covered. I'm 35 and always wanted to play a flight simulator since I was a kid but never fancied a pc. I'm like a big kid atm lol. Its not been cheap but I know its going to be worth it.
So I found a way to toggle an outside view with one button. Definitely still not ideal. But it’s the toggle drone view option. It seems to reset every time you do it which is frustrating. Also there are two of those shortcuts one under cockpit camera and the other one under the drone camera. The former does not act as a toggle only the latter.

Tbh, I rarely, if ever, do any of the training missions - best experimenting (and watching videos of course) to learn the basics 'on the fly' so to speak.

on controller you can do it in drone mode then you can go outside the plane
Brilliant video. BUT due to having only an Xbox One S (NOT SERIES S) so I can only play on Cloud so I have NO mouse or keyboard option - just the Xbox One Controller
Slightly trickier with just a controller; the Hotas One may work for you though.
Can you customise the wing views using the keyboard ? So I can see how you get the default wing views but if you want to move it slightly and then save it to what ever key it was before how do you do that. Unless I missed it when you did the cockpit personal views ?

I don't believe that you can alter the default wing views, but the video I linked in the description allows you to modify this (on PC MSFS).
@@Huddison ok thanks. It’s just I see so many photos of people showing of wing views on the Xbox msfs2020 pilots page and their left wing view when using the a320N doesn’t look like that default one. I’ll have a look tomorrow. Appreciate the fast reply.

How do you go back to the cockpit view after setting up your control options
Do you mean from being in a different view? I have a button set on my controllers 'Reset Cockpit View'.
What mouse and keyboard do you have. I’m looking at a £20 keyboard from Argos. Looks like it will do the job plus it’s wireless
That’s what I bought mate. It works perfectly.
I use a simple cheap HP wired keyboard and mouse; I think the compatibility is fairly wide for most keyboards and mice.
Let me know if your wireless keyboard works with the series x my wireless mouse doesn’t

@@DeanArnold1066 it just a cheap wireless Trust mouse that works on my laptop I don’t like using the touchpad, Im looking for a cheap wireless mouse to work on my series x because I’m sat to far away from it to use wired.
How do you get the various instrument items to light up?
If you go to General Option/Accessibility - under User Options there are a few settings there that allow you to do this.
Try 'Lock' under Cockpit interaction System and see how you fare.
is there a way to make video recordings on xbox (not the xbox recording) im refering to the flight sim itself. very frustrating that xbox users are not able to make a recording (greyed out in settings)
You can buy a cheap capture card and record via a laptop or PC.
Besides from that. You can only record in small segments.

I am having a problem with my camera now. When i get it and start its fine however when i want to look at the screens closer and press the button to zoom in it starts moving the camera forwards and doesn’t zoom in then if i try to get back to where i was as i have to face forward where my camera goes i am facing the back of the seat. Can you help?
What are you using to zoom in - a mouse?
@@Huddison The scroll wheel to zoom in and the left added button to move the camera. It’s working now hopefully it stays good. Don’t you use mouse ? 😂

It's been a while since I've visited the subject; but my feelings are you likely can have more than a couple of views. Hopefully, someone will see your comment and offer more definite help.
