    Do you put any lubricant on the dent ball? Just to make it slide a little better and reduce friction. I have heard some people use Vaseline.

      Sometimes I use valve oil. Vaseline or slide grease works too. Thank you for mentioning that.

    can i put a steel ball into the tuning slide and use a magnet ?

      The balls will be too small for the magnet to have enough pull on them.
