We just pulled over for water in the fuel. Called around for a service truck and they tell us wait time is 7-8 hrs. Brother, you are my fucking hero. I changed out my fuel water separator, and the light didn’t go off. I didn’t know about that other drain valve. I’m reading every article I can find and they say to unplug the connector on the fuel, water separator, and if the light stays on you have a wiring or PCM problem and you need to go to the dealer. Freightliner would’ve screwed me over for sure on a simple drain job. 30 seconds after draining that second one the light went out and the active faults went away. Thank you very much for this video

Definitely injector cups, thats coolant not water coming out of there, truck will run all day throwing deisel into your coolant and when motor cools it'll flow the other way, coolant into diesel. So you can get by temporarily by draining fuel filters in the morning but you will damage the coolant system eventually with all that deisel.

This is my follow up comment!! I eventually replaced the fuel injector cups. The seals were bad allowing fuel to get into the water. However, until you replace the cups, repeat the process!! Thanks and God bless!!
I just purchased a 26ft box and soon I put fuel in the check engine light came on. I hope it's that simple to get that fix thank you for the information!
Same ahit happened to me. Truck would let me drive a few miles and shut down. Nobody could fix it in bmore at that bullshit TA. Drove it all the way back to Cleveland, Ohio took 16 hrs. I'm gonna drain my shit in a few minutes. I appreciate it, be safe and have a good one OG

A warm hello to you, I am not a mechanic I just play one on TV, I like to start by saying thank you for Sharing, It is said that a little bit of knowledge goes along way, but we got to know why happens what happens, It is important to know or take into consideration the miles That that truck has The maintenance, and the work that has been done to the engine if any, and then from there we can check and double check and maybe triple check By performing a diagnostic and troubleshooting the problem, and I pretty much have to agree with the two previous gentlemen to look into the injector cups, and I say 👀👀 into the injector Oil rings as well, ✌️❤️
I'm clad you were able to get moving. I did get my injector cups replaced with seals of course.. So, I suggest you keep and eye on it and once you see fuel in the water reservoir you really need to get to your regular mechanic. God bless driver..
You have red stuff in your filter and that is antifreeze. By draining the coolant fron your fuel system your are not really fixing the problem what you really have is the injector cups. Should get them fix before its too late.

Doesn't water float on diesel, so if so siphon out or suck out water floating on top of diesel in fuel tank. Have you ever removed water out of your brake air tanks, I'll bet you haven't?
Bro i messed up yesterday, i was day dreaming and accidentally put one gallon of def inside my diesel fuel tank. Man im stressed out on the repair cost.
You are absolutely right and I got that fixed. However, that temporary solution saved me a wrecker bill, made my delivery and got me home so I could use a trusted shop.. Thanks

Everyone saying injector cups, if it would be injector cups it would’ve been the other way around, fuel in radiator, coolant is 1:10 ratio in PSI compared to fuel, could be fuel heater or something else, not injector cups.

Glad it helped! If you repeat that when it does it again, it'll help get you to a qualified shop to diagnose the problem. Mine were the injectors cup.

If your having this issue is going to be your injector cups.
It is only if it is keep coming back. You have bad injector cups. And you may see fuel in your coolant or coolant in your fuel.
