We had a neighbour who had a Snow White gnome. She disappeared overnight. Nine months later she reappeared along with seven dwarves beside her. She had a note attached saying, " Dear Mummy, please forgive me, I've been a very naughty girl.." 😂

The imfamous BBC "Gnomewatch" scandal of '77, in which countless unsuspecting viewers were terrified by, what they thought, was a genuine documentary about gnome abductions, and flooded call centers with reports of their own gnomes disappearing during the show!
Ha! Ha! This elfin thievery also happened to me, in May of 2014! Snatched off my front doorstep, my colorful little gnome, holding a lantern, has never returned home. :( No notes, no photos on tropical beaches. He was just an inexpensive resin creature, which I had possessed for many years by then. Needless to say, all future gnomes have been placed indoors, or in the fenced back garden, which is not easy to access - except by the deer...
