I'm making these soon. I just wanted to tell you that awhile back I made your corner sandwich buns, what a wonderful recipe, making these often, they are simple to make and delicious. Hi John, Got all your books & have to make grandkid’s pizza every week now. One thing I’ve missed for many years is a good gravy, can’t stand gravy granules or the powdered mixture used by most takeaways. Remember going to a pie shop weekly when I was young for pies & taking a jug for peas & gravy, haven’t had real gravy like that for years. Have fond memories of a girlfriend’s grandma who did a pot roast with gravy that was awesome. Love to see a video on how you make a traditional gravy. Keep up the good work.

Ive only recently found this gem of a baker. Potato and cornmeal,some people will add binders such as flour or eggs. Potatoes and eggs mixed together are pipeable and go in the oven. Makes a beautiful pie.

What a coincidence! I am making mini quiches today! However, mine will be filled with swiss chard (in place of spinach, which isn't available at a reasonable cost and my hens have cleared from the garden ready to replant), onion, feta and pine nut. And with free range, organic eggs, the flavours and colour will be wonderful. Your version looks amazing. If mine look that good, I will be happy! And yes, I AM making my own crust. Potato and cornmeal,some people will add binders such as flour or eggs. Potatoes and eggs mixed together are pipeable and go in the oven. Makes a beautiful pie.

What a coincidence! I am making mini quiches today! However, mine will be filled with swiss chard (in place of spinach, which isn't available at a reasonable cost and my hens have cleared from the garden ready to replant), onion, feta and pine nut. And with free range, organic eggs, the flavours and colour will be wonderful. Your version looks amazing. If mine look that good, I will be happy! And yes, I AM making my own crust. Nothing beats home made! Much love xx
