Happy Memorial Day! I have a question for you. I can't seem to find an answer here in Virginia. I have a 1979 115 Johnson It was overheating I dropped the LU to change out out the water pump after getting it on the driveshaft and tighten it down I notice two of the female holes for the mouting screws for the water pump housing were stripped out and broke. I think there is a possibility that this was making my engine run hot since air may have been getting it and the pump not running sufficient. Can these holes be fixed? Or do I need to replace the lower unit? Sorry for posting this in here but it is hard finding decently places that work on boats here.
Something that amazes me is as I see these incredible boats many with several engines is the $$$$$$$$. And then hear on the news we have a weak economy.
People in Miami don't know about boats they buy bathtub boats with horse power and they don't have toilet or kitchens they come back with a sunburn and hungry
Baffled By the amount of people from up north this winter that came down here wearing masks on the beach, on bikes, waiting for dinner and in their cars. Embarrassing and stupid.
According to the CDC, 1,129,838 Covid deaths to date, 6,161,377 total hospitalizations. The masks and other precautions probably saved my life, something I will look back on with relief. Have a safe Memorial Day!
