- Join us for the Orlando Informer Meetup Winter 2023 - a special after hours event at Universal Orlando Resort, featuring both parks, Universal Studios and Islands of Adventurer, AFTER HOURS - with special food, characters and ultra low crowds! The OI Meetup includes UNLIMITED food in both parks, special characters, including The Grinch, Bride of Frankenstein & more, low crowds and low wait times, and a really fun Christmas holiday atmosphere! We eat and drink delicious food all over the parks, including unlimited Butterbeer, see The Grinch and Whos from Whoville, Frankenstein's Monster and Bride of Frankenstein, have a tour of the Holiday Tribute Store, park hop with a special walkway between Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure and have a jolly ol' time! Thank you to Orlando Informer for inviting us for this weekend - we have been attending since 2018 and anyone can purchase tickets to attend these events! Hope you enjoy the night with us of silliness and fun!
These OI meet-ups seem to be the ideal park-going experience.
Honesty they are, have to adjust back to regular crowds and paying for food right after each one 😂
This would probably be the best time for me to go to Universal. I’m not into the wild rides that they specialize in! 😂
Disney is a great place to have a fun lots of more thrill dark rides and amazing CZcams channels and video are awesome like the pro cast channels they are so good lots of desserts 🍪🎂🎂 this year and enjoy Disney this month this is Jenna Dabao have super excited fun day with me enjoy my birthday 🎈🎂🥳 Disney parade I am in it this week

Love how every Orlando Informer event has these subtle little changes and adjustments! Checking in for the event inside the sound stages and with complimentary water cups is a really nice touch. “You’re it, you are the party!” - truer words never spoken 😁 LOVE the holiday tribute store, and love how every room is so beautifully themed to the different areas of the park. The caroling candle is more than a little creepy, I understand why Sam didn’t want to turn his back on it…or on the elves, for that matter! 😂 But as far as mischievous monsters go, the Grinch always takes the cake. He was so proud of his sign haha and omg, both torches lit on the Jurassic Park gate! I can’t even remember the last time I saw that beautiful sight! Sam’s far braver than we are when it comes to the Jurassic Jungle Boat ride, though. I’m never doing a flume after dark again. I’ve never been more terrified 👀 Such an amazing vlog, Jackie! Thanks so much for sharing it with us!✨
Seriously I am always like why is only one torch lit!! See I knew I wasn’t the only one bothered by this ahha! Sam is a man man, he eats turkey legs and doesn’t mind getting soaked on chilly nights haha!!

Looked like a fun date night. The food certainly seemed to be in abundance and all looked tasty. The Grinch's line was wonderful. Those elves are certainly rascals.

It’s Christmas time!!! That was fun at Orlando Informer meetup at Universal Orlando Resort. Yesterday I went to Magic of Lights 2023 in Maize KS. Tonight I’m heading to church for the final night of Outdoor Living Nativity. This week I’m seeing Santa at Cabela’s.

Looks like such a cool event! And always fun to be invited ;) We walked out after closing recently (got held up on the Simpsons ride) and it looked about the same empty in the streets, how cool! And so many tasty treats! Great look around.
I found you back in late 2020, so seeing you attend the winter Orlando Informer event always takes me back to when you attended that year's winter event. (Like I said in my very first comment to you,) I still remember your experince with the Grinch on the second night of that specific meetup.

This is a great Orlando Informal Meet Up video Jackie!! Love it, and I love your Earl the squirrel shirt and Sam’s awesome Earl the squirrel hat!! Such a cool hat!! lol love you were getting started by dancing in the streets!! all the food looked so good, especially at The Three Broomsticks!! So much yummy food!! Yaaayyy you got a hot Butter Beer!! I love hot Butter Beer!! it taste exactly like butterscotch candy!! It’s sooooo good!! I also really like pumpkin juice too!! It’s so good!! Love doing the interactive wands around Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade!! It’s so fun!! I can’t to do that again!! I’m coming to Universal the beginning of February 2024!! I’m sooooo excited!! Can’t wait to ride Valacicoaster!! It looks so cool and fun to ride!! so glad that you and Sam had a great time with low wait times!! 😊❤️😊😊😊

Sam may be interested to learn that they now sell turkey legs in a UK theme park! The shop outside Ostrich Stampede at the new World of Jumanji area at Chessington sells them. I can't compare them to the Universal ones, but they have a bit of a spice to the seasoning on them, so they're not bad!

However, I’m all over Shepherd’s Pie! That’s my favorite thing to get at Renn Faire. Where I used to live, years ago, the local fair had a vendor that served Shepherd’s Pie out of an authentic red Double-Decker bus. They specialized in British foods, their Bangers and Mash were also excellent.
These nighttime events are so cool, less crowds, walk-on rides, and the free eats. So much fun! Glad you and Sam had a wonderful evening. 😊

I joined the oi meetup facebook page because i wanted to take my son for a grad gift. However the june one next year falls on graduation weekend. 😢 maybe next year. Looks amazing.

We actually love the turkey legs! I don't get the hate lol I know there's lots of other food options, but as a celiac, the turkey legs can be a life saver when hungry at a meetup!
That’s a good point, they can be a great option for those with dietary restrictions, food allergies and the like! Well, Sam loves them so you’re in good company haha!
We attended our 1st meetup this past Nov. We found it in part because of your previous videos. We were kind of hoping to run into you but no luck. We had a great time. Thinking about doing one of the Dec meetups next year.
I love them turkey legs they sell at Walmart so perfectly juicy 🍗🍗🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤. What an awesome fun night having the park soooo low crowds so y'all can enjoy it all and have fun and make the memories fun and festive there. Just beautiful ❤️

Thanks for showing us these great moments! That earl section of the tribute store was my fav, decorations are wonderful and the earl record is too funny! I had to record it when I was there a few weeks ago, should somehow make my speakers at home play it randomly during the day, that would be awesome!

Did you all do the Mini Meet Up on Thursday night as well? What did you think of it compared to the full meet up? We have done numerous meet ups and did the Mini Meet Up this year to try it out.
Yes, I mentioned it in this vid but it was quickly so maybe u missed it. I personally prefer the regular meetup, but a lot of ppl loved the mini meetup bc islands is a favorite park for many people, and Hagrids was a walk on. It was really fun, we had a great night ! But for me, studios is my favorite park and I love the freedom of traveling between parks w that special pathway, and I love all the food and rides and wide open feeling of both parks! What did u think?
@@SuperEnthused we loved the lower crowds, especially Hagrid’s being a walk on, and it being 18+. We weren’t overly impressed by the catering stations: we had 2 separate stations run out of the one thing we wanted there before 9:30 and we couldn’t even find the ramen bar catering station.
Overall, we might do it again for the super low crowds, but think we will just go back to the regular 2-night meet up to get the most bang for our buck and get both parks.

I enjoyed it! This was my first time doing it and covering it...I took the opportunity to bring in my big cinema camera that I make films with and film the park while it was so empty! That was one of my favorite things about the event, well, and the eating- let's not forget the eating haha
I celebrated my birthday on the day that they had the purple bands!! 🙂 it was amazing!!!

Haha yea it’s an event anyone can buy tickets to! I made sure to say that bc I had the feeling not everyone realized that. We got tickets to attend for the first time back in 2018, when it felt a lot smaller and a lot less people knew about it. I’m happy to see it grow so much. But yea, we’ve made a lot of happy memories attending thro the years.

I prefer the regular, I think you just get so much for your money and I love having both parks! I can see how the mini would be better for some, because it’s specific on Islands. But I love studios, it’s my fave.

It would be over the top amazing if they could do an HHN one. I bet that would sell out even faster than the regular ones do. OI tickets go for around the same price as a one day two park ticket, but I couldn’t tell u on the math bc I don’t know how many they sell or how much it costs to rent out both parks like this. I know they’ve been doing it for a loooooong time tho. Maybe they have a deal bc of how many they do per year. I’m always curious about these logistics too, but I don’t know. I just know we always have the best time at these since we started attending back in 2018, when they felt a lot smaller and less ppl knew about them, and I hope they keep doing them!

It’s so much more convenient and endless summer and cabana bay have the best prices! But if u stay at a higher end resort you can get express passes which is a great value too.

Yes, Optimus Prime, Megatron and Bumble Bee come out for meet and greets! I’ve shown them in lots of past Universal vids and will def again in future vids. They’re really fun!

The interesting thing is, these events are thrown by Orlando Informer, not by Universal. So it’s a thing kinda like when companies do corporate events there, except this one, anyone can buy a ticket to attend (except they limit the amount of tickets sold so it’s low crowd). They do have one in feb I think, not sure if it matches ur dates. But it’s a fun way to do the parks in a different way!
