See this is what Trump did with our media outlets just in a different way. He’s telling them that they’re fake news, but then telling them to go on these specific channels only, which is Fox News, Newsmax & OAN, only to say whatever he wants them to hear, instead of the truth. That’s what they don’t get, bc he’s brainwashed them to believe this. When someone tells you what channels to watch then that’s the signs of a person trying to scam his own supporters for more money or votes. It also shows that he’s greedy & that he is just a nasty narcissistic, manipulating, lying conman that just wants money for himself, not to help the middle class of this country have better lives.

I am from Russia and I am really horrified by the large number of zombified people who believe in TV and support the war. But I can't do anything about it. I live in a small town and even if I go out with a poster, they will just take me to the police station. Many of us have relatives in Ukraine, so this massacre is also destroying Russian families. what can I (a schoolgirl) do, even if they tried to kill the main opposition leader of the country and put him in prison. I love your culture and am as tolerant as possible. Therefore, please do not discriminate against all Russians. I didn't choose Putin and I can't overthrow him in any way. Because now it feels like the whole world hates you just because you're Russian. Just imagine you study hard all the time and want to go to college somewhere abroad, and then all your plans for life are destroyed by an old tyrant and you will have to start a student life after school without the support of parents and penniless in a country with a ruined economy and crisis.

We know many Russians are bravely standing against Putin and doing the best they can to spread the truth. The world only hates Putin and those who support him within the government.

Don't believe what they say about foreigners hating Russians, it's fear mongering (and some regular bullies who would pick on anyone). Я сама свалила давно, так что знаю на практике, к русским отношение у большинства иностранцев понимающее. With such good English still in school you should do well in life. Be thrifty, save up, go study abroad (maybe in some more budget friendly university), or just finish studies in Russia, work for a couple of years and skedaddle, join the brain drain, while the borders are still open.
Study something that is fairly international, like IT or design, not law for example that would be too country-specific. As long as you're hardworking and you're ready to leave everything behind, the world's your oyster.

We want the Russian people to be truly free and we are very angry with Putin for making the Russian people his slaves and sending them to die in Ukraine. Many of your brave soldiers are refusing to fight because they understand that they have been lied to. They do not want to kill anyone. Many of your Russian soldiers would rather die than carry out attacks on the innocent people of Ukraine, and we hurt for them just as much as we hurt for the Ukrainian people. They are so brave. To all none-Russian people that are watching this video:
I live in Russia all my life and I want to show you what is really going on here.
In my country there are lots of bad-edicated people. They watch TV and believe in everything that screens say. We have propaganda in schools, universities, at the streets. We live in it. Our citizens tried to protest, but all they get is injuries, pain, and prison terms. We fear even talking with strangers about what is going on, because it may be unsafe for us and our families. Russian's government take away all opposition. We live in non-democratic country but our constitution (main law) says an opposite.
You also should know that many people live in the countryside or in a small towns and they have no source of information except television. Surely they support Putin because he is a lifeguard in their look. Elder generation vote for our leader, but anyway we know before time who will win.
24th of February was awful day when lives have been changed.
Russians felt this "special operation". Prices were increased, many companies leaved Russia, lots of people lost their jobs. Plan citizens suffer from it.
Some people just want to live in peace in our country and they don't care about others. Someones don't believe news. Not every, but many Russians really worried about current situation.
It's hard to see destroyed Ukrainian sites and realase that your country made it. Personally I, feel really sorry about it. But our opinion mean nothing there, and our protests almost useless. Many of us have relatives in the Ukraine and we worry about them. We also want to stop this w a r. Every child knows that war is a grief. .

I am heartbroken by what's happening in Ukraine, but I also feel really bad for those that oppose the war in Russia and Belarus. Those that took action are true heroes and I admire them, but I just don't know how things will work out for them. As for those who dare not speak but oppose the war, I understand their position as well. You don't wanna have a criminal record that will prevent you from ever leaving the country and break your family's heart by getting imprisoned. I think many in the West just do not understand what it's like to speak up against authority under an autocratic government. They have lived in democracy for far too long and have started to take that for granted. But for many in the rest of the world, saying a word could mean having your entire life and everything you've worked for taken away from you forever. I don't think a lot of Westerners understand that. I wish all those that speak up could all effectively get political asylum in Western countries, but in that case the number of political refugees would be massive.

      @urgreatestenemy3044 Před 2 lety +16

Please read this to it's entirety before adding your two cents note I do not in anyway support Russia my goal is to tell the story the media is hiding.
People should understand Russia could not allow Ukraine to join NATO an organization that was created to fight against Russias interests. Many will say NATO was made to defend against Russians aggression that is true in a way they are a defensive organization in they will defend its members but Russia is not a member.
Everyone knows an arm can be used defensively to block a punch but you can also use the same arm to deliver a strike.
Saying NATO is a purely defensive force is misleading they have one of the biggest armes in the world and is the biggest threat to Russia.
Some would say NATO would not attack Russia so Russia shouldn't fear NATO this is speculary as no one can see into the future, if one of Russias allies got into a war with NATO then Russia would get involved and then NATO could send troops into Russia if war is declared.
In my view Russia is simply looking after their national security just as we did during the Cuban missile crisis the only difference is Cuba is not right on our border.
The US threatened the world with nuclear destruction if Russia continued construction on missile sites in Cuba because that would give Russia an advantage if war was to occur.
People should look at a map of Europe and realize if NATO controls Ukraine they can use it as a staging ground to attack Russia in a future conflict, but if it is controlled by the Russians then NATO must first declare war on Ukraine and attack it before sending troops into Russia this gives Russia time to ready itself for war.
The Ukraine Russia border is large and would be vary hard to defend it is one thing having enemies in close proximity it's another story having them on your border.
The media is not pointing this out instead they are putting out their propaganda if the situation was reversed and the Mexican or the Canadian government wanted to join an enemy coalition then America would do the samething to those countries.
This war is partly also NATOs and Ukraines fault if you are a nation next to a superpower it is not a wise move to try and partner with their enemy as that is a threat to their national security that has be addressed and if negotiations fail then they have to try to remove the government and put in one that supports them.
I'm not saying Ukraine can't join NATO as they are a sovereign nation but when they started to negotiate to become a member Russia had little options if they wished to keep Ukraine from joining with their enemy, Russia cannot attack a NATO nation as that would start WW3 so it forced Putin into a corner it was either attack now or lose Ukraine forever.
I don’t support Russia but I can't blame them for what they are doing as I know from history that we in America would do the samething.
I need to clarify again I in no way support Russia but whenever there is a conflict people should try and see things from all sides think if the situation was reversed what would we do in response.
I know we would not let a border country join an enemy coalition, so I don't know why anybody expects Russia to allow Ukraine to fall to their enemy.
Understand with NATO controlling Ukraine it would give them a huge advantage if it was forced to attack Russia with NATO in control of Latvia, Estonia, and Ukraine it would be easier to cut the supply line between Belarus and Russia using a pincher maneuver and attack Moscow from two different directions, nucular weapons are a deterrent you cannot use them close to your troops and Russia would not nuke their own land.
Also no one wants to end the world so nukes are a last resort option.
If you look at a map and think like a general and you'll see why Russia feels they need to control that region.
I also understand why Ukraine wanted to join NATO and I fully support them in their fight for freedom and independence from Russia. It is a complicated issue Ukraine was trapped between a rock and a hard space and had too do something to try and stop Russia from invading so they turned to Russias enemies but that only insured the need for Russia to attack and try to change the government to one that is pro Russian.
The Superpowers have been playing these games with peoples lives for years it was only a matter of time before someone again got hurt I hope not too many people die for theses foolish games our governments play.
I believe NATO is using Ukraine they have employed an old war tactic look for someone that has a conflict with your enemy, throw fuel on the fire and watch it burn come in provide weapons and logistics and sit back an let them fight the battles for you.
It is the same tactic we did to the Russians back in the 80s with the Afghan/Russia War we used Afghanistan to fight the Russians then after the USSR went bankrupt we abandoned them this is one of the causes of why 9/11 happened people don't like being used and did not like our involvement in their affairs.
This conflict has similarities to Afghanistan in many aspects Afghanistan had no part in 9/11 the Taliban leaders were not responsible for attacking America that was Al-Qaeda a terrorist organization based in Afghanistan.
The US lied attacked an innocent nation replaced their government with a puppet government they controlled this is similar to what Russia is doing.
Please note I do not sympathize with Russia and hope they pay for attacking Ukraine but in the art of war you must know your enemies and know yourself see through our enemies eyes and find truth.
Again I support Ukraines fight for freedom and independence from Russia but I also understand why Russia had to respond and went to war understanding is in no way supporting this war, people should look at conflicts from all sides and look past the media propaganda and think independently.
Thanks for reading if you comment on this I may not respond as CZcams no longer notifies me when someone responds to my post, if you see someone saying I support Russia then please take the time to correct them.
We must all understand our enemies so we know how they see things and why they fight so we can find peaceful solutions to conflicts.

I have no problem with offering humanitarian relief to Ukrainian civilians. Actually Russian govt just agreed to help set up safe passages for civilians to escape the conflict. They don't want that either, they have a problem with Ukraine's government.
The USA media gives 0 context to what happens and has propagandized its viewers for many years to hate Russia and fear Putin. So of course there is no potential for CNN viewers to ask critical questions about why Russia did this, or what was behind it, or what the goal is. It's just "EVIL PUTIN HATES HUMANITY" "NUCLEAR WAR THREATENED BY MADMAN PUTIN" over and over. Complete hysteria.
RT is by no means 100% accurate but at least it gives some other side, some other perspective, to the version offered by CNN or BBC. It's very crucial to want to come to a peaceful resolution and the only way is to LISTEN to other side.

Let’s say Russia is wrong well wouldn’t you still want to hear their side? Or if Russia is in the right wouldn’t you want to hear why? Or is it an one sided story. You read a story but you don’t like certain parts of a story so when you tell others about this story and leave out the parts you didn’t like isn’t that partial truth? Or is it truth as it’s being told by you to others?? Leaving out parts without reading everything in it but ends up with the same ending regardless still makes it partial truth and seeing as truth means 100% that would make partial truth not truth so thus it’s a lie. If I accuse someone of stealing my bike, and I have a friend who will collaborate my story. Does it make it true??? How did you know it’s my bike??? How do you know the person I accused of stealing it from me wasn’t with me when we both stole it but since he got away with the bike I got made and accuse him of stealing it from me and one of my friends saw me riding it the day I stole it so he doesn’t know I’m lying and admits to my so said truth meanwhile the other bike who has the bike tries to speak out about how we both stole it but since somehow I silenced him from being heard telling his truth I got everyone to believe me because of his silence of being able to tell his side. So now he goes to jail and I get away with the bike we both stole thanks to a friend who didn’t know what we did before I accused my accomplice of doing to me what we had done together.
