Growing up in the 50's, I had a huge crush on Bobby Rydell. It still bothers me that Bobby was never inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. R I P Bobby.
The earliest memory of music was when I was 3-4 yo riding with my dad around Ithaca, NY. He always listened to his car radio. I still get a memory of eating sherbert on a cone when i hear Bobby Rydell's version of "Volare". To this day, it remains my favorite song of my entire life.
Oh dear so sad to hear of Bobby’s passing I have lots of his records which I used to play on my old Bush Record Player which I was lucky to have one Xmas, fond memories Bobby from UK.
Bobby Rydell was one of the most popular singers when I was in high school and all the girls had a crush on him. C W McCall was a multi-talented genius whose work has stood the test of time. Even the commercials he wrote were successful.
Yes.. I remember my mother talking about him he was apparently quite the crush material.
And then The Beatles came out..
My heart is broken. Bobby was the one that inspired me to get into showbusiness. What a talent. I'll miss you Bobby. RIP Pisanne.
Nehemiah Persoff-one of the best and most versatile actors of all time! It is truly the end of an era!
I remember seeing Bobby Rydell in a show at Harry's Danceland in Latrobe, PA when I was about 15. It was such a good show. I'll never forget him. He had the best trained voice of the time. RIP.
Oh I'm so sorry to hear about Rob Bobby rydell I had such a crush on him when I was a teenager his real last name was Robert
So sorry to hear about the death of Bobby rydell I had a big crush on him when I was a teenager rest in peace
I must be too young to remember him-and some others-but they're part of our history. RIP, all!
His real last name was Riderelli!
I thought I was the only one who knew that Bobby rydell's last name was ritaly of
P I thought I was the only one who knew that Bobby rydell's last name was r i d e r e l l i!!!
Well I said was I thought I was the only one who know that Bobby rydell's last name was r i d e r e l l i!!!
We are saddened by the loss of everyone. I am extremely saddened for the senseless loss of life of the 6 individuals here in Sacramento. Condolences to all family and friends 💐
Thank you Velda for saying that so well for all of us.
God give peace to the family and friends that are left behind .
R.I.P.🥀
I didn’t follow the news closely this week but I thought they were gang members killed by a rival gang, I could be mistaken.
@@edwardboscaino438
Does it matter?? They are dead!
@@dr.jamesolack8504 Exactly what I was thinking.
The loss of any human life is sad.
@@dr.jamesolack8504 It does matter. When you lead a gang life, this comes with the territory. Life is nothing but the choices we make and the consequences, good or bad that come because of those choices.
The respect and kindness this site gives in their videos is so appreciated. The narrator's voice is perfect.
She’s one of the very few that pronounces peoples names correctly. Very respectful
Yes….her voice is very soothing❤️!!
True, but i think they could have shown Bobby Rydell more respect by also showing a photo of a later age. Now it looks like he's never been older than in his twenties.
0:55 I wondered if they ever talk about Esttelle Harris. She was a great actress and was great in Zack and Cody. The media just glossed her over....glad someone mentioned her and spoke about her.
I don't watch tv anymore and don't know who has passed. I love that this is available on youtube. Thanks!!!
I have no idea. I have been around no tv in 10 days and just got on internet.
I haven't had a TV since 2013...not planning on getting another TV either. I have a life and I'm not spending it in front of a talking picture box. I like hiking/biking/photography/creative writing/art/flea markets & thrift stores/friends & family/plus taking care of my house. ...I recall famous people I saw on TV many years ago. I do watch some CZcams channels & videos while having meals and to chase down a few things that people tell me I should watch, usually stuff in the news. I watch this Legacy channel because it's interesting to discover what famous people have passed on. I honestly don't know about new famous people or TV shows & movies.
@@curtischildress9580 I understand some things on TV HAS turned into trash , but, how do you know what the hell is going on ? LOL. LIKE important news and what’s going on in the world, besides ‘your’ world?? Not everything is on CZcams! I mean just because you have a TV doesn’t mean it has to be on 24 hrs.! I don’t know, but, that’s strange.
You wouldn’t know if we were being attacked!!
Yep, I barely watch it either. A thousand channels and nothing on. They take the good stuff off so you can subscribe ON TOP of the subscription you already have, Greed. I would cancel the TV, but it's included in my HOA.

You said exactly what I was thinking.👍
Thank you for recognizing the victims of the shooting in Sacramento.
What happened? I am so sorry. So sad.

@@victoriae9837 I have no idea the races of the gang members, but yes, sad for the families
May they all rest in peace. Will truly miss Bobby Rydell and Mr. Persoff. And to all the veterans thank you for your service.😥
Can't believe barrie youngfellow passed away. I used to watch "its a living" back in the day when I was living with my mom and dad. Crystal Bernard was one of my very first crushes when she was young and still had brown hair. That was really a golden age of sitcoms.
You missed a huge daytime legend...Kathryn Hayes....Star of As The World Turns for over 40 years and also many guest staring roles including Star trek...She was 87
Sad to hear about all but especially Nehemiah Persoff😟 Name ANY TV show from the 60's, 70's, 80's, and even the 90's and early 2000's and Mr. Persoff was on it! Such a Wonderful Character Actor! He had a VERY Long Career and an even longer life! RIP Mr.Persoff😔
My parents would've been 102 as well this year. Nehemiah was a great actor, and also in 'The Greatest Story Every Told" and "The Man From U.N.C.L.E.". RIP, Nehemiah.
Star trek
Big fan, he was so omnipresent, versatile, professional. I thought he must have died years ago….
I'm so glad that he got to see the reaction to his newly published autobiography. He was wonderful in every role that he played and elevated the material that he was in.
Bobby Rydell, what a cutie he was! I fell in girlie love with him when he played Hugo in the film Bye Bye Birdie
Bobby rydell, Frankie Avalon and Fabian often toured together. From Ms. Harper Stacey.
Sorry to hear about Shirley Burkovich passing AAGPBL A LEAGUE OF THEIR OWN member. Her interview on youtube is great. ⚾ RIP
You mean Shirley Burkovich. Who played a older Alice Gaspar in the Movie A League of their own
Estelle Harris was awesome on Seinfeld. She and Jerry Stiller stole the scene every time they were on.
Surprised they didn't mention Seinfeld. Jennifer
She was also the maid on the TV show The sweet life of Zac and Cody
I never saw Seinfeld. I bet she was awesome.
Yes, as long as she is remembered she will live forever. She was one of the best on Seinfeld, the pool table was was one of the absolute best episodes ever!
@@marystrope1345 I've never seen sienfeld. I spent the 90s in places where TV was sketchy but with so much hoping on and working 3 jobs, I didn't watch any TV until 2000. Crazy decade.
So sorry .about Bobby rydel.loved him.from my teenage years.rip.bobby.
I'm now 75....had such a crush on Bobby rydell as a teenager! Loved his music and he was so handsome. ❤❤❤❤ Rest in peace, Bobby!
RIP Mr Persoff:(
Estelle Harris was so great as George's mom on Seinfeld. May they all Rest in Peace🌹
CW McCall. We will miss you. Your songs of Colorado painted a picture that made me think I was there.
My favorite is Wolf Creek Pass
I can see Colorado and the Rockies from different windows in our home...
Greetings from a mountaintop in Buford/Laramie, Wyoming!! ❤️🇺🇸
I salute you for the way in which you tell us who died. You are amazing. Thank You for all you do.
R.I.P. too all those who’ve passed away 🙏🕊
Including Hitler?
@@dr.jamesolack8504 What does that have to do with the current story?
Yours is a silly comment/question...
@@corinnepmorrison1854
Because the comment said R.I.P. to “all those who’ve passed away.” Hitler has in fact, passed away…..right? If they’d have said R.I.P. to all those who’ve passed away during the first week of April, 2022…..that would be a different story. Now, wouldn’t it?
@@dr.jamesolack8504 The comment referenced the deaths of the people in the story/coverage...
I would have been happy to execute Hitler myself...
Nehemiah Persoff had/has the longest resume in Hollywood for a working actor!...
At age 102, Heart failure can be considered as "Natural causes" as well imo.
He was in several episodes of Naked City.
I loved him in Gilligan's Island.

Thank you for doing beautiful tributes once again. There were so many great people we lost! Also, thank you for the half-staff memorials. I wish more sites had those. God Bless You and stay safe.
Persoff was also Rodriguez in the Gilligan's Island episode "The Little Dictator". And was in the Star Trek TNG episode "The Most Toys"
I guess these means we won't be seeing any more of those last surviving Gilligan's Island star clickbait ads with Persoff's picture of them.
Rest in peace for those who passed away on the first week of April
I followed him on FB..... An Extraordinary Gentleman RIP Bobby
RIP to the late Funk Brothers member, Joe Messina. A tribute to he and the other members of that historically Great group of Motown musicians called, "Standing in the Shadows of Motown " is available on many platforms and is a must see for all. Condolences also to the Great Thespian Artist, Nehemiah Persoff .Had the privilege of meeting him while studying Theater as he made a visit to our school. Just found out about Bobby Rydell… I so enjoyed his music and talent!
May need to watch Bye Bye Birdie as it was one of my favs! Prayers of comfort to his family and loved!
I remember Bobby Rydell on the Red Skelton show. Red was playing sheriff dead-eye and Bobby was behind bars and would slip through them and hand stuff to Red.
Bobby was a great entertainer who never forgot or gave up his Philadelphia roots. They only noted a few of his hit songs I particularly liked "Do the Cha Cha Cha and I will never dance again". RIP Bobby.
Was shocked to hear of Bobby Rydell's passing. Had hoped he would tour Australia again RIP Bobby.
Convoy is on my playlist. I love that song. RIP C.W.
I do so appreciate your videos!!! Thank you. 🙏
RIP AND THANKS FOR SERVING SIR!
Death sure seems to come from the left field sometimes. I'm glad most of these celebrities had lived a full life at least. What a trip, Mr. Persoff has been recently talked about in the media because of age. Even stranger is the fact he was from my home town San Luis Obispo. He was a great actor. He did it all. RIP
SLO is beautiful country. Enjoy it.
Bobby Rydell, oh man I saw him By By Birdie with my big crush Ann-Margaret ..Lived a long full life
It's a Living is my favorite show from the '80s.
God speed, C.W. McCall. First time we heard "Wolf Creek Pass" was on the car radio returning from the airport after a long trip. We were all tired and a little punchy, and that song really tickled us all. Dad bought his albums. One of my other favorites was "Old Sloane" and "Sing Silent Night."
Rest in place all god bless
RIP TOMMY DAVIS!
I 1st knew of Nehemiah Persoff from his voice role of 'Papa Mouskowitz' on "American Tale" and a role on an episode of "Little House on the Prairie" and "The Flying Nun".
He had a very unique, recognizable voice.
Wow. 102.
His wife is around that age.
They were married for over 7 decades!
Hi Ana, how are you doing?
Let me tell you. Jimmy Dean seems to have this death thing beat. Although he's been dead for over ten years, I keep hearing him on his commercials reminding me to enjoy one of his hearty sausage breakfast bowls for a Sunday morning breakfast seven days a week.!!!!
Why are so many comments on this channel so disrespectful, there's nothing wrong with a tribute

PittsBurger Steelers backupQB Dwayne Haskins 1977-2022 died from getting hit by a car.
Bill Fries, "CW McCall" was the defining embodiment of the word 'Americana'. A decent man and a true loss to the world. And his wife, Rena ("RJ" of his "Black Bear Road"), who followed him in death 6 months later at the age of 90. There were married for 70 years. In 2005, having found a site that would forward mail to CW, I sent all six LP's and the original 45rpm, "Old Home Filler Up and Keep On a Truckin' Cafe" requesting autographs and a letter of my appreciation of the years of enjoyment starting as a teenager. He was kind enough to sign (personalized) all six jackets, front and back, and the same with the 45. He appreciated my words in the letter and said he would keep it, and that he and RJ would 'drink a toast to me'. I have all the records hanging on my wall, one a few true treasures. I only wish I would have met them in person. Gods blessing to both of them.
Cannot help thinking that even with the smile the thumbnail of C.W. McCall reminds me of pictures I've seen of The CMA Hall of Fame giant Ronnie Milsap.🤔😔🎤🎼🎸🎻🎹🚛🛣 B.W.
