Christopher Plummer, my very first crush 🥰. When I was 6, I kept telling everyone, "one day I'm going to marry Captain Von Trapp". You have no idea how disappointed I was, when I realised that could never happen 😭. I grew up with 'The Sound of Music', it was my Nan's all time favourite movie. To this day, I know all the songs and can not help but sing along whenever it's on. My nan would always get me to sing the songs, especially the one, when they put on the puppet show. "High on a hill, there's a lonely goat herder..." Thanks nan for the memories and Christopher Plummer, for giving a little girl so much happiness and joy. For being my ideal man, even if it was, for only a short time 🙏

@@colinmaharajWhat a lovely memory to have of your parents, I'm 36 and in NSW Australia, there is a grand total of 1 drive-in. Luckily, it is near where I live, so alot of my childhood was spent there. I didn't see a movie in an actual cinema till I was 16, nothing beats the drive-in though, love it! Your memory reminded me of a story my mum has told me a few times. When my mum and her family lived in England, they saw "The Sound of Music" with her parents, sister and bunch of the family when it 1st opened in the 60s. Well, when Maria marries captain Von Trapp, towards the end when it sort of has that finality feel. My mum and the family all thought it was actually "the end", so they all started putting on their coats, along with other patrons in the cinema, thinking they will beat the hussel and bussel to get out. When all of a sudden, the film didn't end but continued on and they had to all rush back to their seats, so they could see the end 😂. But then again, when you come to think of it, the end takes a really dark turn. One minute they are all singing, with puppet shows and songs about favourite things, then all of a sudden, the Nazis turn up. I'm telling you now, the Nazi's are not one of my favourite things. But you know, that was how I learnt all about the Nazis and the atrocities they did. It provoked questions from me, which my parents and nan answered. So I really have to thank "The Sound of Music" and Christopher Plummer for that as well. It helped my family broach a very difficult and traumatic subject with a young child. Memories, what powerful things they are! 🇭🇲🐨

Where is Mike Nesmith?!! He has a great following of fans who loved him and his music. The Monkees made such an impact in the 60's that people still celebrate today. He just finished a farewell tour with Micky Dolenz on November 11th, 2021. Every show was sold out. He died a month later on December 10th, 2021. He was in ill health, but he wanted to give back to his fans the love he felt for them. He was a wonderful, gifted man. He will be truly missed by so many people that he touched throughout his life. His songs live on today and bring such joy remembering that wonderful carefree time my generation grew up in. Thank you, Mike. Love, A Monkee fan forever!

For as long as this list was i was very surprised i didn't recognize more of them. One of them that surprised me was Charlie Watts: as he was the member of the Stones who really tried not to live that whole rock & roll life style insanity.
