Was amazed by how young Rob looks. Then I realized it was 16 years ago.
I was thinking the same thing he looks super young . his music is killer when I played twisted I metal I think Rob zombie was definitely background music totally hardcore rocking out while on a mad rampage spree with a smile 😊
Same here
I was thinking he found a magic drug because on Joe Rogan he was supper old
Same lmao
SAME lmao
You know... I always feared that man. Bad dreams, specially when I saw him on TV. My parents tried to avoid exposing me to him, but now...I realize.... Conan seems quite nice! If Rob Zombie trusts him, so do I.
Lmao. You always trust people you don't know, never met and have PR?
Underated comment
😂😂
@@mysticalmisfit33 l was thinking the same thing

This is the first time I've seen Rob interview. I notice his social anxiety immediately, stroking his shoe, etc. I understand this, and had no idea he had anxiety. Imagine performing the loudest music available in front of thousands with anxiety.
He's so likeable.
Big time. There was an interview from a few years ago with Larry King and he keeps on constantly rubbing his face. There’s definitely an anxiety component there. On the bright side, he’s got great comedic timing. 😂
I think that’s why! I have pretty bad anxiety and loud heavy music is the only thing that makes me feel calm. It’s like the intense feelings of anxiety are no longer just with me, but fill the room and evaporate
He is a nice guy too, Badazz Vegan for decades
well for some people like him the music is a way to escape the anxiety so he probably is completely in his element on stage despite being in front of thousands of people
@@BirdmanVeganFuture One outta two ain't bad 😉
I love how respectful and open minded Conan is to Rob here. A lot of talk show hosts would treat guys like him with condescension and disrespect for being weird thinking it makes them look morally superior.
@Roberto Vidal Garcia probably Jimmy Kimmel.
Conan is one of the cool guys trust me, he is friends with tenacious D and plays guitar himself.
I hate Letterman too.
Well said. I also think the person doing it doesn't usually realize in the moment
@@unknownenemy2027 he creepy. Sniffed and put Jennifer Annistons hair in his mouth... wasn't prompted
His social anxiety doesn’t stop him from being entertaining as hell
I completely picked up on that! I saw another comment talking about how he was aching for a fix, but I didn't think of that at all. Sometimes I act like this (not this extreme, but still visibly uncomfortable or jittery) because I have very bad anxiety. Not everyone that acts like this does drugs. He just looks like he's suffering through his anxiety but still trying to hold it together and be as outgoing as he can be. I also didn't know he was so good-looking! I like some of his songs (my favorite is Living Dead Girl) and almost all of his movies and didn't even know he was this attractive lol. It was a great interview!
@@AllisonChains64 i can understand why some ppl would assume drugs, with him having been a lead singer of a rock band, its an easy presumption. But Rob isn't that kind of rock star at all. When he was on Joe Rogans podcast, he talked openly about his anxiety and being an extreme introvert. Dude is a badass through it all
@@ando2821 Yeah, rockstars do get that wrap, but it's never good to assume anything and just generalize a group of people like that lol. That episode sounds good! I don't listen to Joe Rogan's podcast, but I'll listen to that episode. Thanks for telling me about it!

@@AleksandarIvanov69 Lol nice try, and fail, at trolling 😄
I like that Conan is a dude and a comedian before he's an interviewer. He gets the social anxiety thing, and he rolls with it, even helps Rob through it. I feel like if he was just a regular interview guy, he would try to exploit it, or he just wouldn't know how to handle it.
Also, at heart he’s really a writer rather than a performer, and that also helps.
I would say the things you mentioned about Conan are what make him a GREAT interviewer
Like Letterman
Bro you're acting like Rob needed his hand held during this interview lol... He was completely fine
@@NiCaSon6 Haha. I like how you created your own interpretation of my comment so you can have something to argue against. Keep it up. You're doing great.
I had no clue Rob had social anxiety except the fact he was touching and couldn't stay still. The same way I am, I respect the hell out of Conan for being a great host and making Rob laugh, smile and make jokes. Conan is the man, idc what you say. 🤘
I get instantly dizzy from anxiety it’s a trip!!! I caught it right away
@@exvandal187 Anxiety and depression are hell on Earth, I hate having them. Anywho, Happy Early Halloween, cheers and much love from NC! 🎃🤘🏼🇺🇸🤘🏼
Man I have it too bad and it's funny how entertainers can have this too. Not funny but you know what I mean.
Have to admire Rob's honesty. I know Rob hates interviews but when he has stories to tell, it's relatable.
I think everybody expected him to be creepy and dark, but the guy is like your next door neighbor who walks the dog and has a barbeque on the weekend with his family. The guy is a true artist though.
*vegan barbecue
Yeah next door neighbor in West Virginia.
I mean he's not actually a zombie lol that much is obvious.
Huh.. not really
Rob Zombie is an.Artist .But what Neighborhood do you live in?
He really is … more human than human. Seems like a really nice guy.
I have to say though, he’d make a great Frank Zappa for a biographical film.
i know his side profile he looks just like frank zappa
Not anymore. He looks more like skinny white Bob Marley now
Yes!!!!
I never point that together until now. 👍
Definitely looks like Frank Zappa. First thing I thought when the video started.
this was actually a killer of an interview. Conan kept it on track and Rob was there giving him good material...really effortless conversation.
You could tell he was sooooo nervous in the beginning, but as the interview went on and conan talked to him about things that actually interest him, he calmed down so much. I loved watching conan.
The moment he realizes the crowd is laughing at his "freak with giant red hair" comment... 😂😂😂
I didn't realize Rob zombie was so handsome. He seems much more humble than I expected as well. Love his music and movies. Weird to see him on a talk show without make up. Weird in a great way. Seems a great guy. Love Conan, he's the best.
Very handsome. And apparently one of the nicest guys.

I've always loved Conan's style of interview. He sets up the guests with great questions, gets over with his own jokes but never steals the spotlight. He knows better than any host how much the interviewee can make their own magic.

I really like Rob's sense of humor.

When he said that I was thinking why don't you just move to a northern state where it's always cold outside so you don't have to worry about silly old air condition.
His childhood mirrors my adulthood.
It is amazing how uncomfortable he is but he still trucks on!!! It's pretty inspiring!!
He and his wife are such sweethearts. I met both of them a very long time ago. I actually got to go to their home as well. Their home was amazing too. Very carnival meets goth. I absolutely loved them too. His wife actually made me a cup of English Breakfast Tea. Very lovely and sweet and beautiful. They were very kind to each other as well. I actually remember him slapping his wife on the butt. It was very cute!!!! I was very glad to have met them too. Very cool!!!!
I had a feeling watching this that he seems like a faithful guy, and damn, over 20 years of marriage!
RZ always seems uncomfortable doing interviews, but always tries to do his best, and usually still kills it.
He already told you he's the kind of person that would stay inside all the time. At heart he's an introvert, no matter how you put it
always messing with his shoes in interviews too... such a sweet baby
He doesn't look uncomfortable to me at all. Not sure where your coming from lol
Yeah he's COHERENT who would have thought!!
Most talented people little him are actually introverts.
I could listen to Rob Zombie all day long. He's really charismatic.

He hasn't sang a live song since the mid 90s.

Rob is freakin ADORABLE! Love his humor.
"You're on the right show" is why we love and miss you Conan!
For some reason I never expected Mr Zombie to be so fun, well spoken, and personable, he seems like a sweet (loveably weird) guy. I like his work but this is the first time I've seen him on a late night talk show, he killed it.
Mr Zombie😊
I know! He’s freakin’ adorable!
I've been to several of his concerts over the years beginning when White Zombie had just started touring in the 90's. I can tell you this guy puts on a hell of a performance as they are almost as theatrical as his movies. Rob is a very talented artist and I love his demented mind.
Captain Spaulding: "And I took that personally"
I know this is an old clip but I've never seen him in an interview.. made me like him even more!
I've never seen him in interviews either. There's some artists that I don't like to know too much about, because it keeps their mystique or something, but I'm glad I watched this. He seems pretty down to earth.
He seems so normal compared to the music and movies he makes lol
I highly recommend his Joe Rogan episode, he goes into very detailed discussion about his life and his work 🤘🏼
I second the recommendation to watch the jre episode.. fascinating
Same, I dont know this man, I just know his movies, and honestly, maybe I am ignorantly judged him for his name and Devils Rejects, but thats not how I pictured Rob Zombie at all, he looks far more normal than I imagine Rob Zombie would be.. :)
Conan is so far away yet his knees are right there next to rob lol
Right?? He’s like 8 feet tall 🤡
He keeps his enemies close and his knees closer.

I love Rob’s music, and him as a person. His horror isn’t my cup of tea but I love hearing him talk about horror we truly have the the love of the genre in common.
I don’t like anything he does, but I respect him as an artist; his movies in particular are awful though.

Love this interview Conan asked him about everything where he made all of robs quirks genuinely interesting and funny; Conan was the best at interviewing anybody
Such an incredible interview.
This was an amazing interview
People don’t give Rob nearly enough credit for his comedy. I was watching this at work and my co-worker had to ask me if I was ok because I was laughing so hard 🤣 I love this man 😂🖤

Your coworker had a valid concern lol
That was great. Reassuring to see someone like him with as bad of social anxiety as I have be able to pull of an interview and be great at it.
His constant change of sitting position is so familiar lol
This has to be some of the best energy a bands ever come with here
I love how he's noticing it and then rolling with it in the end.
The hardest I have ever laughed in a movie theater is The Devils Rejects when that chick escaped the motel room and then got hit by a semi truck 🤣😂😆 I knew right then me and my husband weren’t going to last because he didn’t see the humor in it.

Yet Rob Zombie created Captain Spaulding, the best clown ever.
Best pathetic clown. Dude sold chicken in a gas station lol
YEESSSSS!!!! The best is the dream when he is having sex with (his mistress?) and he dreams it's his wife who then blows his head off. He wakes up and she say's "did you have a bad dream?". He reply's, "50/50" . . .LOL!
But could anyone else have played Captain Spaulding and do a better job than Sid Haig R.I.P.
Unironically enough, I was always spooked my clowns but Captain Spaulding didn't give me the heebie jeebies.
And inspired by on of Groucho Marxs' characters.

That was entertaining as hell, how did I not know how good Rob was on talkshows
The carnival he described are the ones I grew up with. Lol. You can tell he's nervous in front of an audience when he has to be himself. He seems like he'd be super social in a more intimate setting.
So you're saying you want to be intimate with him. Ok, what ever floats your boat buddy.
Sid Haig did a great job as Captain Spalding in those three movies of the Firefly family! It was upsetting to find out the actor died the year the third movie was released. I had no idea he was 80 years old either until I was looking up the cause of death.
Man, I love Rob Zombie's music (not much a fan of his movies) but with this clip I feel he could be a terrific stand up comedy. Almost everything he said was quite funny.
I think this is just his own reality. I don’t think he was really telling jokes. This is what makes him unique
I want to like his movies, I really do… some elements are cool I guess…
I dont think he's in it for the laughs
His movies are better than his music, I love The Devil's Reject.
I'm the opposite. I like more of his movies than I like of his songs
Can’t wait to see his take on The Munsters!!! The set photos look incredible
Considering how sub par his former movies are I can only guess it will be no better. I'm guessing he is casting his talentless wife in some important role again as well.
It will suc Sherri is in it
Rob Zombie is soooo underrated. If he ran for a government office, I'd make sure he won. He's so vastly kind and intelligent compared to anyone in office in the capital. For real.
How is he underrated? And what, other than being nice, qualifies him for office?
My 1 vote would make sure of it 🤣
In what way? Because he can have a conversation?
Really cool interview! So much could have made the headline instead of clowns being pathetic :D
It's statistically harder for a clown to get into a clown college than it is for a clown college to get into a clown
Protip: Astroglide and alcohol ease the process.

Really? I thought that'd be one of the first things they teach.

Conan’s backdrop here debuted before 9/11 and briefly included the Twin Towers, (then they were obviously removed). After watching Late Night from the very beginning, I felt like this backdrop drastically changed the look and feel of the show….it made it feel more ‘spacious’, and the lighting is def. ‘brighter’. Such a contrast from the look of the 1993-2000 episodes. Plus, High Definition TV was ‘new’ at this time, so people were seeing Conan in HD for the first time…which I’m sure helped contribute to the different look & feel of the show.
His backdrop *here* is after 9/11 (because this video is from 2005)...but good that you had some feelings and felt something about the change in backdrops pre and post 9/11.
