We have been trying to adopt a rescue for several months and am having difficulty due to profiles saying they want a home with other dogs living there. We can only afford one (and our house and yard are small as well) so it's been an interesting challenge. I was surprised to see that adoptions are down from last year. "THEY'VE got your number!" Yes indeed. LOVE this story!

Animals are literally angels incarnate.We are suppose to look after ALL animal life, not eat them,or use them in labs.
Once again missing in your story: the outrageous cost of veterinary care... How it affects families' budgets, and animals ending up in shelters and being euthanized... No one tells families when they're adopting about the cost of veterinary care -especially once the animal gets older and gets sick, or needs dental surgery (which is very common and can cost thousands of dollars). It's a problem no one is talking about.

I love how people think veterinarians should work for free. Apparently their college degrees, clinic bldgs, staff, medical supplies and drugs are negligent costs, so they can work for free. Having pets has never been cheap, if it is done properly.

When our cat passed over the rainbow bridge, I had just ordered a bag of her food from Chewy. They sent us flowers to tell us how sorry they were to hear of her passing. It was so sweet.

Pet adoptions down? They make it ridiculously hard to adopt a pet. I would be looking for thise “free to a good home” signs and forget about adoption. I didn’t go through that much hassle to join the Army. I’ve gone through background checks that weren’t as crazy as what pet adoption agencies put you through. Child adoption agencies aren’t any better! I know of a couple who refer to their kids dog as their “grand dog.” I’ll pass on that.
People are having a hard time feeding their self’s, let alone a pet in this pandemic 😷 so sad.

Wow. I thought that more people were adopting pets. Also thought that more people were giving up their pets because they couldn't afford to care for them. ❓
Please know that tennis balls are a choking hazard for large dogs. They also cause impactions. Only use toys designed for pets when playing with pets.
I recieved a dozen multicolored roses from chewy when my dog rosie died. I have 12 dogs...all worth a trillion dollars.
I LOVE Chewy.com! They have awesome Customer Service! I get our cat’s food delivered from them. I have it on Auto Delivery so it’s super convenient. I received one of those portraits they mentioned!!!! When I received it, I was like “Huh, I didn’t order anything.” I cried when I opened it 🥺😢😭 It was so beautiful and unexpected! 😍😻
