- From the campaign start dates of 1700, 1772 or the 1703 Great Northern War, from the updated unit rosters that don’t feel too bloated but definitely are balanced on the battle side of things, to giving you flexibility to choose Battle AI behaviour, smoke, formations and even a chance to use the expanded regions that Imperial Destroyer adds to the campaign map.
Pirates Uber Alles gives you a ton of variety and dynamism to Empire Total War that for me is probably the best I’ve ever seen for the game. And best of all compared to the Empire 2 mod which is arguably it’s closest counterpart it’s relatively bug free and stable which for an older game like this is actually so impressive.

1100 AD for Rome 2. That is a great mod... everyone loves 1212 AD for Attila but 1100 AD is up there.
I’d imagine it’s not continued but I’d love to hear another opinion about colonialism 1600 AD mod and there’s also the 1600 world at war sub mod , I enjoy it for the like and shot era but I don’t think I can do campaigns just yet for Shogun 2 pike and shot mod

empire 2 will not come out till 2040 at the earliest. CA is not intrested in making another historical title like that due to other projects.

Ever since you mentioned PuA a couple of months ago in a video I have been running this mod for my Empire campaigns. As an expert in this period of history I have to say that this is the closest mod I have ever seen come to an appropriate balance of historical accuracy and fun. At times it can be a slog but this is more to do with the constraints of Empire than the mod itself. I've run a Russian campaign on short and a British campaign on long both from 1700/1703 start dates.
It's a really excellent experience and the best mod for Empire IMO. Factions no longer make unreasonable and ahistorical decisions, alliances last longer, rebellions are a far greater threat and there's even some coded events (the 1715 Jacobite Rising for example). I am on a limited income and run this on a laptop and it is the most stable I have ever seen Empire. Other mods I can run for maybe 70 turns before I start to run into issues, I am almost 200 turns into the British campaign and only on 1735.
Thanks for spotlighting it, the button guide can be a bit tricky because of poor translation but once you figure it out it is an absolute dream. For your accuracy rate the author suggests you put it on FIRING battle setting to start and then at about 1750 switch to 50/50 (firing and melee). Most battle run well on this. The only issue are fort battles but you can turn those off. For best results it is recommended to run Very Hard Campaign and Hard Battles.

so you're telling me you prefer sandbox than historical, to be honest I agree. who cares about historical decisions? you see, whenever you repeat the campaign it becomes repetitive and repetitive it becomes predictable
I'm running a Russian campaign now and cannot get the public order in the southern provinces under control. Any tips?

@@deonte9014 Get a permanent Garrison over there who can deal with rebels. That's the only way I thought about because if you let them to form an state and then defeat them the public order goes -90 again 💀
The shit here is that armies are expensive as hell so focus entirely in creating industry and farms to get new cities and money so you can create spare armies. Illust techs in this mod are almost useless other than rushing the modern uni to research faster
PUA is one of the best mods I have played in Total war full stop.
They have just added new forts too in the latest patch, you can now recruit from them.

Darth mod makes everything easier trowing any kind of challenge trough the window, and Empire 2 is constantly crashing (and actually very unrealistic), so yes, PUA is better, much much better

@@Robin-sf3gk In some ways, and in other was, Empire 2 offers more. Empire 2 has a culture system which PuA lacks, which is the biggest notable difference. PuA has fire by rank, whereas Empire 2 simply has both 2 front ranks fire a volley at once.
Start dates are also different. Empire 2 has a 1690 start date and a 1783 one. PuA like the video says has a 1700, 1772 and 1703 start dates. So you will see more Pike & Shot in Empire 2. PuA generally has a better reputation compared to Empire 2 when it comes to stability and crashes but they're mostly similar from my experience, nowadays.

Pirates is an awesome mod.
On the accuracy topic, you have to reduce the distance between your line and the enemy's. It's quite realistic actually. On stability, I agree, Empire II could be better although it's much better now than it was. I'll check this one out. Thanks @TheTerminatorGaming!
Thank you for covering this incredible, stable, enjoyable mod. I'd never played Empire TW before because of the somewhat bad rap it gets, but Pirates Uber Alles really transforms the game.
People need to stop proclaiming the myth that Darthmod enhances the AI. It makes income meaningless and gives the AI so much money that they can be aggressive without risk. It's not an improvement of the AI at all...

Oh bullshit it makes the ai actually aggressive and much smarter in the battles themselves, stop hating on one of the best mods of all time

Also best mod of all time, not by a long shot. It gives way to much money at gamestart to the point you can easily get a +25k income within 10 turns.
@@ShantanuSuchil yes which is realistic these are large nations with good economies it does the same for the AI so you can have large battles name me another mod that gets to the point of 20k men on each side in a battle? And for battle AI it makes them much smarter with decision making, vanilla ai is braindead easy to play against but darth mod ai keeps reserves and attacks your units with their counters, not to mention much more competent while defending walled settlements or attacking them

Question: what have they done with forts? In vanilla forts would completely break the game because the attacking AI would.just sit outside and not do anything and often when a wall was destroyed, the whole thing would freeze up :/
EB2 just made an update that “you will have no choice but to check out.” Jokes aside, it kicks ass, but you must install it outside of program files in order for it to be stable. If you do a video on that, I recommend you bring that up.

I haven't tried this mod to be honest even tho I have tried countless others over the years. It is mainly because of the meme name. If someone cannot come up with a proper name, what can you expect about everything else? But, this video of yours has made me give it a try at least.
I am mainly interested in battles and units. What can you comment on those compared to Empire II? It has an amazing roster that is constantly being worked on and I can hardly see anything being better. So, I would appreciate your input.

Terminator, I don't care where on your list the Crusader Wars mod is, you need to move it to the top. Can not tell you how much fun I've been having with this mod. 80hours of play time in the last month. Which doesn't sound that impressive until you consider I am a father and a fitness nut who runs his own business. Been having some late nights enjoying this mash up.

Hi there, quick question. Around 11:25 you said it might be possible to set up Multiplayer Campaigns. This still means the way Empire and Napoleon handle Co-op campaigns correct? As in, you cannot play land battles together with one player spectating or gifting units to fight on your team like in newer Total War titles?
Yep count me in, I really wish the developer would revive the series.
Now if I can only figure out how to make it run correctly (I’m new to run mods and it’s a process lol)

In the PUA mod manager can anyone tell me how to be able to assign more than one mod such as smoke and sound. When I try, the second mod I click cancels out the first clicked mod.

Looks amazing however my campaign gets stuck on end turn on Russia's turn. I'm forced to return to Darthmod since I do not have the issue on that mod. If anyone had the same issue and managed to fix I would love to know how😅

But what about that good old bug where AI-factions who is in control of regions around land bridges (like Gibraltar, the strait between Denmark and Sweden, and the crossing at Istanbul) wigs out, and keeps sending their units back and forth across the land bridge when its their turn, causing end-turn to take forever, or the game to straight up crash?
We still have to contend with that..?

Probably it's underrated because of the misleading name, it seems a mod based on pirates only.

A lot of people are asking about why PUA is so unstable. Your answer consists of 'ask the modders.' If you're going to be doing videos on these mods, then it would be a good idea to find out and let people know in your videos, rather than just referring them to the modders all the time.

Still no Africa, which is essential for an empire based game. Now modders have worked out how to edit the campaign map and add settlements anywhere they want, it should be doable.
I have a question, I'm trying to download pirates uber alles, imperial splender and imperial destroyer, but I don't know where to begin and in what order I should install these. I was curious to know how you went about installing them?
It's not a good idea to install more than one major mod. Decide which one you want and then install that one alone.

After, I played this for the first time last month, I can never go back to Darth mod 😅. Although installing this 30GB beast was a bitch and a half 😢
So I downloaded and played the mod, my big critique is that the rebellions are insane. Ex: I, as the Italian States, take Tunis because at war with the Barbary states. The mob peasantry have 11/12 base morale, that’s higher than line infantry at 7/8. I have to canister shot them down to 55/230 for them to finally retreat. Then, when I took Tripoli, and the rebel army spawned, I walked from the city to block their path and take the fight in the desert, and they just walked right around me without the ability to intercept and captured the city with no defensive battle???? I just quit at that point because i was 6 hours into the campaign.

I experienced something simiar in other mods that for some reason are trying too hard to change (fully working) base game mechanics. OP rebel spam doesn't sounds fun.
Maybe try Darthmod? Old mod, but still quite fun and it doesn't have this annoying OP rebel spam system.
Have you tried fiddling with the launcher options? Some of your issues have settings in the launcher which change them.

I tried this and it really annoyed me when your soldiers instantly routed from a cavalry charge and never came back. It pissed me really off when my unit ran away through the whole map and never tried to came back. Tried too with default tactics options = the same. Didnt found a solution for that.
Well you should explain all the submods and options of this mod. Because I tried it and everything is in broken english. I do see some potential, it does look more stable than Empire 2. But it also looks far less complete than Empire 2. The tech tree is much smaller, the progression stops at late 1700s whereas Empire 2 goes well into Napoleonic warfare. And the unit sizes seem far smaller/weirder, even modifying the multiplier. The artillery is less developed and realistic. It doesn't delete the UI visuals, and the formations are weird, leaving some weird spacing between units that can be annoying.
Empire 2 is very stable. So long as you run the LGA patch at least.
Are you supposed to drag the folders in to empire or extract, cause it doesn’t work for me, and it looked like you only draged the data folder in the desktop fix to the empire folder to the other one. Pls help
Yep you should be able to drag folders. No idea why you might be having trouble with that tbh. Might be worth asking the modders in the discord!
Read the readme that comes with the mod.
Yeah I prefer PUA it just felt more enjoyable with the launcher options than Empire 2 and your recruitment screen isn't cluttered with unnecessary units like Empire 2.
The only thing holding this back is the poor translation on many units and even some countries. The launcher too could use a touch up, perhaps with better translation.

my only question is, do i move the RAR file itself ? or only whats inside the RAR file after unpacking ?? that part has always screwed me up mod wise.

Honestly, if CA was still committed to cost savings and not changing their engine (which they probably are, sadly), they could just go back and fix Empire. Fix the bugs, improve the graphics, and add some features, maybe. Use all the knowledge they have learned about this game engine over the years to hopefully fix it and give the game engine a proper send out.
To fix the bugs, they'd have to change the engine. That after all has been the cause of most of the bugs for years. CA isn't 'committed to cost savings' by the way. That's shorthand for firing a bunch of workers so that they can get other workers to do more for less. In other words, they're lying. Again.

Empire 2 broken in battles
That launcher window is presented in a way which appears intimidating.... Maybe after some tweaks to make it more approachable without having to read and interpret what each button means would be an amazing step forward, it just looks like developer WIP launcher mode :D
Idk man, there’s literally a button on the top left of the launcher window that tells you what all the buttons means. It’s pretty simple.
I follow the download step by step. I have done it multiple time (deleted the base game and everything and reinstalled). It keeps crashing at the launch screen.
Not sure what I am doing wrong at this point.

Not sure it's the right niche but if anyone's interested in hardcore Modern warfare from a PhD in military history & a TW modder, I strongly recommend Schwerpunkt's videos series. He also made an episode about pirates and corsair in the same period

I like this mod it is better then empire 2 total war mod but in this mod that is much better empire 2 total war here what is miss and should be but in it this mod Pirates Uber Alles here are the things should be in it:Get rich fast and easy by simply lowering tax thing in the game,no fort,see the hole world,victory condition that is in imperial destroyer mod hold one region were the capital is by the year such and such and win,better graphics[High Definition Graphic Pack Terrestria Orbem],more gore,add regions and lastly have usa to be playable faction in the game aka give option so people like mine chose the year playable 1700 1783 thats what is miss in it.

Literally everything. Vanilla Empire is a complete relic from the past, with poor textures, buggy AI, broken siege battles, and pointless diplomacy. Mods fix these things.
@@charlesmiv3842I admit the computer player leaves something to be desired. But I have seen many a computer opponent that lacks due to limited programming. Maybe it's me but I like the graphics. They are dated, now, but at the time I loved em. I don't engage in much diplomacy due to the programming being biased towards the old historical animosities of the time. I don't know much about the military units of the era. So, I cannot speak to the accuracy. And, I'm a real "crazy" here, I love the naval battles except for the limited number the Human can bring to the table. Having played Age of Sail, I see so much improvement between that game and Empire. Maybe I'm just not wired like the rest of you.
@@Malbeefance ah, I could care less about naval battles. I actively auto resolve all empire naval battles. My strat is to just brute force the enemy fleet with overwhelming numbers for auto resolve.

I'm not sure about anybody else, but when trying to run the VDM on the mod, it crashes on the first turn for me
VDM itself can make things unstable sometimes

@@F14DTomCatThe devs themselves said that they left VDV as an option, but they don't really recommend playing with it since the VDV's author has not updated it for years.
