Watch the whole video carefully. I made long 3 long wallets before and wasn't bad, but just like this did not make. You have good experience in curving looking at your other works. I have all the tools for curving, but never made wallets, only used to make a knife sheath and camera case. The curving flower needs more practice. I observed that first, you used acrylic lacquer and then antique finish. Is due to blackening the curving area too dark? I have several patterns but all with flaps. Thanks for the Pattern and details work.

The pattern on this piece is awesome, especially the flower piece. Must have taken so much time to do.

@@bitchen Thank you. I've been a hobby leather worker for many years but I still learn a lot from videos like yours. The only question I have, and maybe it's a suggestion, is that the leather be given a colour before you start working on it. I often do this with alcohol based dyes, but I don't know if it also works with the professional oil-based dyes because I don't use them. I don't know if leather can still be carved after the dye has been applied. I personally have never liked the natural colour of vegetable tan leather. Thank you again!
@@wm17959 Whether water-based or oil-based, if you are going to carve, it is better to do it before dyeing.
The reason is that it is highly likely that the leather will harden little by little, whether oil-based or water-based.
@@bitchen Thank you. I have noticed this, but if often dye the leather before because with the alcohol based dye you have to put it on so fast that it often does not go on evenly. Sometimes the dye does not go down into the deep parts of the carving while the raised parts are already too dark. I think all professionals use oil based dye, which I'm going to start using even though it's just a hobby. Thank you again, your work is amazing!

The floral tooling is exceptionally good work, I like the design also. Did you lose focus on the basket weave stamping? I find large basket weave areas difficult to maintain concentration. I find your videos very helpful for helping me to improve my skills, I hope to one day achieve your level of skill.
