- In this video I have a Fortnite Zero Build Movement guide that should have you winning more fights off your movement alone. Unlike many other popular battle royales Fortnite's movement is very simple but there are still a few things you can do to give yourself an advantage in fights and be more consistent. As soon as I got my AIM controller I formatted the two back paddles on the right for jump and crouch and the left paddles for sprint. It is a huge improvement and I also feel that not pressing down on the analogue sticks helps prevent stick drift. I have a tendency to press too hard. Another great video. Keep going.

Thanks for the Movement Guide! Been trying to learn how to get good with my mechanics and your ZB specific videos have been really useful! My Macro/decision making has also been better thanks to your explanations as well (tho still need to learn rotations more since don’t really know where to properly move towards after the initial drop spots you’ve recommended)
Was also wondering if you’d have any Duo specific tips since I mainly play with a friend?
I have some videos on team modes and maybe ill make an update one for this season but imo for the most part the game doesnt change that much between the modes fn is fn
@@EvolveJakeYea, that makes sense and have been using your aiming tips/creative maps to practice.
Mainly need to learn the map/rotations more since you’ve mentioned that Vaults and Caches are very important for weapons and heals, but I don’t know the specifics of where they possible locations are and how to quickly rotate to them before it’s too late/takes too long.
Will also need to learn more about how to use Gold beyond augment rerolling and the NPCs since you mentioned some could be very important/useful.
Also unsure how important the utility/mobility items are in Duos since you’ve always mention shockwaves to reset/push is essential, but also don’t want to be too far from my teammate too

Jake, everything is okay, but i think the format you do here, it's better to show, then tell. yeah, i see gameplay on a screen, but it doesn't have strong word connection for me. Look, you doing great videos, and i like the way how you present information, but for me is kind of problem, because i'd like to use visual + audio to build connection in brain and practice it in game. But anyway, thanks for information, i'm glad that you do such content.
P.S. Inside the mind, perfect examples of visual + audio knowledge.

I feel like treating the storm as an impenetrable wall of doom, or certain death if you're in it for more than a few seconds, hinders less experienced players. With recent updates to storm damage, you'll only take 1-2 DPS when in storm until the 5 tick in wave 7? and rotating into storm can create so many opportunities. Create a flank on a difficult opponent/location. Sneak away with a reboot card. Get the reboot. Rotate without being seen mid/late game. Loot cache already blue? Wait and open in it in the storm, they drop spare meds with the slurps. Also, spectate other players like Jake does in some videos or watch replays like he said. Cheers.

All very good tips. I’m closing in on LV90, but I’m still a n00b at this game. Managed to solo to 2nd place, but never a personal VR, sadly. Practice makes perfect. Just need to adjust and adapt and be aware.

Could you touch on PC diagonal and strafe angles in the next movement vid? I never know if 60 or 76 is better for zero build because everyone brings up box fighting when explaining it

I have a 10 % win rate just using good movement and traversal while have mediocre aim and reactions (I‘m 46). I love that the game lets you do that.

Just an FYI if your on PS4, PlayStation actually made a PlayStation Licensed Dual Back Button Attachment which retails for less then 35 dollars canadian.
It is strange that sometimes it takes me a long time to find the source of bullets and I hate this
If you get shot in the back or the side, rather than trying to 360 or 180 immediately and shoot back, just move your crosshair a little bit and you’ll easily see the path of the bullets. Even better if you’re behind cover or next to it so you can look back and not get shot more.

The way he plays on controller is insane
I find pushing the analog sticks just throws off my aim. The pressure on the stick always moves the stick a bit, so I suck at crouch spamming

By the way Evolve Jake, I actually have weird binds with right stick as my jump button and b as my crouch on xbox. The only thing i actually have to move my finger in order to press is my crouch which i dont think is actually the biggest deal. I know getting a paddled controller would just be better and I will most likely in a few months. I just want to say making my jump button right stick is surprisingly good for me at least.
Might I give you a tip or at least tell you how i changed my binds a few weeks ago. I got crouch on R3, L3 to jump and X is sprint. So you can aim whilst jumping and aim whilst crouching, this makes you able to move freely and crazy whilst still being able to aim and shoot. Greetings

What map is this? It looks different to the Battle Royal one.
What do you mean with shockwaves are the only mobility item? It is, next to energy drink, one of the mobility items you need to invest an inventory slot for. But other than that, there is rift temples, jump pats, grind rails, cars, animals to ride on... lots of mobility, right? :D
There is a lot of movement around the map, but shockwaves are the only portable movement item.

I’m good at gunfights but my main problem is getting away from people who targets you after a kill. Like I killed this one kid when there was 4 people left and then the other 2 kids both target me, even when I shockwave out.
Just got to learn when to pick fights and try to position yourself better

Hi jake- firstly, thank you for your videos. I appreciate the content but i just wanted to add some feedback if possible. For the last few months ive not been watching as much of your content. One of the big reasons is because its hard to navigate to key information whilst watching you. There is two things that bug me. One is the lack of actual visual representation of the topic you are talking about- you seem to add videos of your battle royale games only. It would be useful if you popped into creative and specifically showed what you are referring to in there and then maybe showed a snippet of the actual game. Whilst doing this there needs to be timed stamps. You would have a much better chance of people watching all of he video if it was actually timed stamped so that as viewers we can organise what you are referring to. This is a 14 minute video and you cant expect us to just sit and listen to you. I found myself skipping this video throughout and still being frustated as there isnt even visual representation to help me understand what you are saying whilst you talk.
I hope i dont come across as some type of hater. Im just hoping that your videos can become easier and more structured in the future rather than just structuring it with your voice and a bunch of battle royale videos in the background that you deem to be similar to what you are talking about
