- In this video I talk about the new Tow Hook item and if I think it is worth using in Season 3. The Tow Hook can deal 100 damage to players and also allow you to attach to cars so you can try to destroy it or eliminate the players inside. Just here for my daily explanation of the “pick axe trick”.
When you’re dragging behind a car you can switch to another weapon and then back to the tow hook and it’ll auto reload. That way if they hop out to shoot you you can have it loaded and ready

Is the dmg indicator bugged on this item??
I keep seeing people say it does 300 dmg to cars... and every time I hit a car it only says 100 dmg..
Anyone else experience this??

I think the tow hook is mid. Not the biggest fan. I much prefer the boom bolt for the added bonus of hitting people behind cover.

I definitely agree that the Tow Hook is weaker than the Boom Bolt and EMPs. I personally like the Boom Bolt the most, I usually land Nitrodrome and get the Mythic Boom Bolt with the infinite ammunition medallion!
Nice analysis, thank you. I do enjoy opening a fight with the tow hook and then swapping to a shotgun. As you mentioned, the knock back puts the opponent out of range of the Gatekeeper, so I have been pairing the Combat shotgun with the tow hook for these loadouts.
Off topic, but I’m struggling more this past month with matches in this game than I ever have. I’ve done about 100 matches and have only gotten 1 win because the last guy luckily died in the storm. I used to be amazing at this game, but now I have the lowest win rate. I’m amazing at creative, what do I do?

One correction, i tested it in creative and it has a range of about 200 meters, but with heavy bulletdrop. Mabye play damage i gone but it still hits.
Great video! Just a question, in the gameplay you tend to use two EMPs per car/player. Is it to have 80+80 shield damage?
Yea why would you not want them to have 0 shield/overshields. Always throw a second if you connect on the car.
For me it's spray weapon/shotgun/heals/mobility.
In that utility slot im running crossbow or EMP. No room in my inventory for it unfortunately.
Yup that’s usually what I’m running, AR/Shotgun/gloves/heals. I don’t even run utility items an AR can destroy a car in solos pretty fast you just need to keep your distance

When did it start doing 300 damage to cars? I’ve used it every day since it came out and it only does 100 to vehicles when I’ve hit them
Yo did they fix the "pay to lose" cars? Cause I use the scorpion skin and I can still fry people who are driving while in the passenger seat. I mean don't get me wrong, I like that, since I ain't gonna drive around with someone in my car, but if someone does drive away with my car I can get in and fry them from there. (And while I do like that I was with the impression that it was "fixed")
There’s just much more useful items to put in your inventory. I’d rather carry a bow or even emp in the slot. Also who else gets dizzy in the final circles with the runners stacking guitar and fists?! Just not a need to have both. Total headache chasing them.

What? No way it’s 50m. I used it on someone yesterday from island and I killed someone from 90m
1 to 50mm to hook up to a car . over 50mm will not hook to car. But you can still give 100 damage to players

Only cheats I've ever used was God mode and Unlimited Ammo back in the single player Medal of Honor and Return to Castle Wolfenstein days :)
