No, unfortunately, it's not a just a number that you can "toss in the bin." Age is "just a number" is a comforting saying people say to make themselves and others feel better. But that number comes with many consequences in the real world.....from health issues and medical exams that center around age....to declining physical abilities.....and even to changes in how people perceive and treat you. Even in Bollywood....age is NOT just a number.....because it's the YOUNGER heroines that are getting the roles even though they are not even halfway talented as the 35-45 year old actress. So, it's NOT just a number that one can toss in a bin because it follows you around everywhere and you have to write/reveal that number down when you fill out forms at the doctor's clinic.....or job applications.....and even in rishta settings. Plus, we are living in a youth-obsessed world where even 20-something-year-olds are getting botox injections and plastic surgery has become more and more common/
However.......YES.....we all can take steps to make aging more comfortable through things like exercise, eating healthy, meditation, etc.
