No it is a category 7 with 200 mph winds it amazes me how they can find a 130 mph gust when the storm does not even have an eye .

1,000 yrs ago hurricanes were much stronger in the Gulf according to sedimentary studies
He just said that this was the strongest storm to enter this part of the gulf.....Wasn't Michael of 2018 a cat 5?

It’s strengthened by high tides and a full moon. All the water is going to build up with no where to go but up for hours. The next few days will continue to do damage even after the winds have moved on. Be careful!

@@SwnsasyI mean yeah y'all got some bad winds.... But I think people are more worried about the places getting hit directly and on the right side of the eye 20-40 miles from the eye...
I'm from California, and we've had our share this year of wild, dangerous weather (heavy rain, light snow down to the 1,000 ft. level). Not as bad as hurricanes, although we had a very strong tropical storm a couple of weeks ago. Stay safe, Florida, please. While we might not agree politically, it breaks my heart when the damage from hurricanes includes human life. I hope the damage to property and people is as minimal as possible.

We really need to see some predictions of storm surge versus reality. People lose faith when the numbers are exaggerated storm after storm.
