For non germans this might look like a meme, but almost everything in this video is unironically true

The fact that it took 3 memes to explain the insanity of Frankfurt is amazing

As a person who has never been to or lived in Germany, I can confirm this is true.

The Sylt one is perfect, now that the poor people are raiding it through the 9-Euro-Ticket.

To be honest, I'm surprised that the comments are all in English, because when something Germany - related gets posted, it normally doesn't take very long until the entire comment section is talking in German.

Some Hannover lore: Hannover is situated where it is because there happened to be a high riverbank (that's where Hannover gets its name from: "Honovere", which translates to "At the high riverbank") safe from regularly occurring floods of the resident Leine river. In addition to this, at the place of Hannover's founding, there happened to be a stream island and relatively slim river plain plus shallow ford, making for a good point to cross the river there. Perhaps because of that, there was a crossing of two major roads at that location. So naturally, a medieval mercantile town would flourish there, as sources suggest, as early as 950 a.d. .
