Flynn sounds just like my son. He was shy & quiet & always watching. He didn't walk till 16 months. And now he's a 19 year old college sophomore theatre major.
I have boy/girl twins and my girl is the more outgoing one and she started walking at 9 months and my boy is more reserved & cautious and he started walking at 11 months but he crawled before her (he was 6 months, she was 8 months). They go back and forth on hitting milestones.

Aryana Wagner babies are amazing. They can think words / understand them far earlier than they can clearly say them - it’s much easier to learn a sign than how to make sounds :) you have to learn how to make every single different sound, and how to combine them, before you can talk, but long before then he will have understood what he wants to say
Aryana Wagner it’s pretty common. Babies can usually sign before speaking so teaching them basic signs leads to earlier communication and therefor way less tantrums and such! We were given a book of basic signs in the packet we were sent home from the hospital with when our oldest was born in 2002.

My cousin’s son was born with one ear smooshed inward so he can’t hear out of his right ear. Probably because it's super normal and expected. I communicated with sign from 8 months until I started speaking at 14 months
