Kiko is a Filipino uproot from Manila who moved to Negros Occidental a few years ago to pursue fish farming how it should be done.
He farms his seabass and snapper naturally, enhancing the ecosystem with oysters, clams and snails, and only using algae and tilapia as feeds.
Sustainability is the name of the game at his project which he names 7Hectares - and I really love it.

KD speaking of raising bangus or other fishes that thrives in an area like yours... BoyP ur new friend who is based in Bulacan might be able to refer u to fisheries around their area to gain more techniques in aquaculture. Pagasinan also in Luzon hv many fish ponds specializing raising bangus in a commercial capacity...

I would want my fish to come from there. This was so educational. They have a good vibe about them. Kiko(?) And his team are intentional and organic. You get what you put in. Like you reap what you sow. The genuine care and thoughtfulness of the overall ecosystem automatically gives the product an A+ rating.
And that is the right way. This should be the new best practice, the old one is obsolete. Thank you sir Kiko you are so passionate about aquaculture. I hear there are lots of fish farming and prawns there. It was so interesting.
As the saying goes everything happens for a reason. All you have to do is to never give up for whatever passion you are into. God will direct you to something or to someone who will guide and inspire you.
I missed traveling that route from Bacolod to Cadiz city where we lived from 1986 to 2016…we are living now in Digos!😢

Commander you can rehabilitate your ponds and turn it into a tourism area. You can get a fish catch at the same time revenues from overnight stay in your place.

Enjoy your TRIP to my Hometown, Kumader Daot. More research on Aquaculture. Stretch your travel to Cadiz City, home of the Dried Fish. If you have time, explore Iloilo and drop by Dumangas. You can take RORO from Bacolod to Dumangas Port. More Fishponds over there and even owned by some Koreans. Enjoy and stay safe.

maybe u can introduce Dori fish in your pond, if allowed in your locality.. in central luzon there are some fish farmers doing Dori fish farming.. a very resilient fish less sensitive to diseases and temperature changes.

good you are able to get inputs from the fishponds raisers, just maybe a suggestion, communicate more often, try to learn how to do your fishpond, too! it may be your backcash flow in the future, in case you can no longer travel more often!,,0r maybe yet get them in your place to help you out!

Thanks! I have a deadcat for my big camera but it was broken that time... Was using an action cam which is why the sound wasn't good 🙁
My advice to you would be better for to buy or find land ricefield there in negros occidental and make it like a fish pond it's better in that area is healthy.
