It's so sad when bonded bunnies break their bond and fight. I really hope that the duo get together. You have a great amount of knowledge and I'm sure u will be able to help them. Good luck.
Aw, I'm sorry they're having trouble with their bond. Your plan of rebonding sounds really good! If they're having a date in another room it's a good idea to fully clean their home space. Less smell usually means less trouble. :)
My rabbits are bonded, spayed, and have been in a pair for a long time. Once however, they fought and i had to re-bond them. Keep them separate for a week, then bond them for 5 minutes in a bath everyday, giving them lots of treats during that time for a week. They will start to associate each other with good things, and will remember each other. then you can try putting them back together. Make sure they aren't competing for anything (like hay, or treats). You should probably take them both to a vet, to make sure there isn't a life threatening cut you missed (I don't think there is, it would probably be pretty obvious), or a disease that is making them aggressive. EDIT: you should put their litter boxes on opposite ends of the room, so if one of them is chassed out of one litter box, they can go to the other. Also, if they are separated for a long time, you might want to give them an equal amount of space. And well they are separated, it might be a good time to work on litter training!
Exactly what I needed! Getting a second rabbit soon :). I’m also very sorry to hear about Satchin and Butchin. Hopefully they’ll stop being so hormonal soon!
Yes fingers crossed! I am going to film the process of “rebonding” them. I guess the silver lining is it gives me the chance to walk some people through it!
@@mypawfectfamily Hi there, did you manage rebond your bunnies? if so please share link to the video. My bunnies are at this stage right now, I have two bonded males, i got them when they were still babies and had them neutered but now as they keep growing, i guess the hormones are kicking in. They had a terrible fight, one of them got a bad injury as well. I had to separate them, it been a week now since i separated them but im wondering if i will ever be able to rebond them again.
I have issues like this with my two. They actually had a spat like this yesterday. Thank you for this info, and good luck with rebonding.
This is actually why I always say m/f bonds are best. Of course it doesn't matter the gender there is always a chance of fighting, but I believe it's the safest bond. Because that's normally what they do in the wild.
Thank you for making this! A lot of people on the rabbit groups I'm on are always re-homing rabbits because of 1 fight. I'm going to share this!
Thanks! I think it’s important to realize that rabbit bonds in captivity are forced and there are a lot of circumstances different than in the wild. When we force two animals to share a habitat 24/7, I think some fights and spats are inevitable
Not for my bunnies my sisters rabbit is a male but he tried to attack my female rabbit
Satchin is like "thanks mum, for saving me from my mean big brother"
I really want to see the re-bonding process! So are they both neutered? I wonder why they decided to turn on each other.
100% agree, that is what I did to my buns.
I'm sorry to hear they are fighting
:(

I know!! It’s crazy! Just a couple more to go
@@mypawfectfamily Yep!
She just hit 2k just now I just watched the numbers change it was pretty cool!
@@anna_mitchell2139 Yayl!! That is really cool!
We used to have to sister rabbits, but they kept on fighting. One time, one of the rabbits, Flopsy bit a hole in the ear of Nibbles, the other rabbits. We had to take her to the vets but she took the bandage off straight away.
Omg I my sister and me both had rabbits and her rabbit was trying to attack my rabbit and he took a little tinny chunk out of my bum buns ear too
I have a female rabbit . She’s been a single rabbit for a year now . She’s super aggressive. So I adopted another female as per vets suggestion as a male might dominate . But that didn’t go well . I tried to bond them. The new bunny was so calm I felt my rabbit will hurt her. My rabbit ended up biting me real bad. So I decided to return the new bunny back in order to prevent further damage. I got so overwhelmed and stressed with the whole process I had to cry to keep calm. It’s so stressful to do it alone . Especially with aggressive rabbit. I don’t know if I did the right thing by returning it back . I feel my rabbit can’t get along. She s very rebellious. But i’m also worried about her . Does anyone else have a rebellious bunny ?
Same here! My neutered female is exactly the same and I’m going to try bonding for the second time hopefully it goes well because I really want her to have a friend
Another here!
i have boys from the same litter that were so well bonded but now they’re fighting badly, i got them neutered but it didn’t fix it like i expected, thank you so much!
I'm in the same position. They're brothers but are now fighting and drawing blood.
I am having the SAME problem!!! My brother boys were besties, then I got one neutered and it’s been hell ever since. They HATE each other and I’ve tried bonding for months now. It’s so discouraging. 😔
@@MoriahJeanae this just happened to me, how is it going now for you
Thank you so much for this realistic video !! It shows the reality of having two rabbits
I’m trying very hard to bond between my two male bunnies they are both fixed and live in the same room in separate play pens. They are almost the same age but they are different breeds and one is much larger In size than the other. They almost try to kill each other when I try to have them meet. I might never be able to bond them I am starting to accept that. Since I’ve been trying I’ve noticed that the larger bunny has become very aggressive towards me whenever he is alone with me as if he’s mad at me. I can’t understand what I should do. What can I do about the aggressive behavior and how can I try to bond them again… I appreciate any advice
I hate this so much. Bunnies belong in pairs and thrive off of social companionship. Why does it have to be so hard to make your bunny happy?
Yes I feel this!! They are total brats haha. We just want to make them happy and they make that so hard sometimes lol
I came on here to research and saw your comment. Literally the same situation as yours. I have a spayed female. Bought her as a baby and spayed her. I brought home a 10 week old baby female. I originally wanted an already fixed male or female but thought just maybe if I get a young one It would be easier. Well today was day 1 and my bunny bit my pinky so hard and would not let go. It was like tug of war with my finger so I tired lifted my hand up and she was dangling for 2 seconds before finally releasing my finger. Now I am scared to death of her. I probably should not put the cage with the other rabbit near her area but in a neutral place for both of them. She felt scared and was reacting so all my fault for getting bit. The girl I adopted the new rabbit from said we could try it out and see how it goes first before committing. So I may need to take her back. I also have two dogs. I have had no problems with my dogs. My bunny lays with them in the dog bed and they play. Maybe my bunny thinks she is a dog now. LOL.
I’m so sorry about ur rabbits, sometimes this happens I hope that they become friends again :C
My bunny attacks everybody but not me, my sister, mom and dad but he jumped at my German shepherd dog! I don't know what's wrong with him but he's very kind with me!💖💖💖
Awwh :( bonded bunny fights is so sad. Hopefully it has gotten better. It took us about 3 weeks of separation to finally get them back together.
Yes they are doing better now! Litter habits are kinda a mess but things r good besides that
That’s an odd coincidence lol. My rabbits just recently went through a stage of fighting a bunch, an then it all the sudden stopped 🤷🏻♀️
But I got lucky they are thick as thieves lol I think all rabbits have their times and just not liking each other haha 😂
I am so sorry that is is happing. I hope that they re-bond soon 🥰
I adopted 2 brothers together. The family didn't mention they didn't house them together. They were 3 years old when I got them. They never fought but constantly mounting each other. Going in circles to be on top. I had them fixed and read to keep them separated in different parts of the house for 6 weeks until their scent changes. Suggestions on how to reintroduce them? Thanks.
I have three baby bunnies and they are sisters so they obviously get along very well and they love each other. I personally think that is the easiest way to do it if you are getting more than one rabbit.
So sorry to hear about bunnies are fighting 😢
My male rabbit badly injured my female rabbit. She is very scared. He kept chasing her whole night, I think they were playing but nope 😭. Everything was fine they both played together and male kept grooming the female but I don't know what happened suddenly.
I could tell at the beginning of the video that the rabbits were fighting. I could see it the body position and with the ears. The lopped ear bunny's ears were straight forward and pointed.
Haha not surprised!! Especially with all your experience! I have a hard time reading rabbit body language but I think I’m definitely getting better. I might reach out to you and get some help with this rebonding process!!
@@mypawfectfamily It does happen where 2 rabbits need space from each other and have to go through bonding process again. I wish you luck.😉
Oh no! I hope it all works out in the end!
I am going through the same thing right now with my two female mini lop rabbits. They grew up together and were inseparable and all of a sudden they are trying to kill each other.
Thank you for making this video , you amazing 🤩
Thank you! Glad you liked it:)
You need more traction in their habitat like a rug
my rabbits just had a bad falling out... its hard to see your 2 best friends viscously attacking each other
Me too! That’s how I ended up here, what should I do??🥺
@@mindymell1297 idrk do you have an email? I can email if if it’s easier
Same thing with mine that are both males and it brakes my heart to see them fighting
How do you train your dog to get along with your rabbit? I see your dog is just going around the bunny room, and your rabbits look very comfortable with it. Can you make a video about how to train your other pets to be around your rabbits without attacking/barking?
I think I’ll address this more in a video, but I definitely wouldn’t say he is bonded to get along with them. They do tolerate eachother and I can explain how I’ve done that:)
You should separate your rabbit before serious damage happened Or they are going to get hurt 😅
so my rabbit doesn’t like getting picked up. any advice on that?
ur bunnys are so cutteee
Both my boys are fighting right now and I came across this. My instinct is to keep them apart but I’m stressing hard we are in a new place and they seem to be fighting over territory. I need someone to tell me it will be okay
It will be okay!!! Hopefully we can go through this togyeher and they’ll come out with a stronger bond and
I hate it when my bunnies fight but they are SO CUTEEE they look like 2 dust balls fighting.
kepp them away from each other for a couple of days then keep a close eye on them when you bring them together again
that what we did
Yay
I wish I could discuss to you about my rabbit situation. I have two unbounded females and I wish they could be friends one day, but I am always worried that something bad could happen suddenly while I’m not home and I get scared. I was going to get a boy rabbit to bond with my female but... the boy rabbit I wanted at the rescue was only there three days (he actually was adopted in less than a week) and the girl rabbit was there for a year! So I felt like I had to rescue her. I feel bad, she just wants to be friends with my older rabbit but she is so rude. I’m not sure what to do :(
Also I think you did handle the situation good. But would you be a little worried of butchen jumping over? One of my rabbits always jumps those things hahaha but my other one never does. I have a mesh netting over the top of one of their pens so they don’t escape
I’ve used even 24 inch pens and never had issues. Every rabbit is different but mine aren’t big jumpers it seems like
My bunnies are fighting 😭 they are sisters, been together since birth.
It’s so sad but cute they look like two dust balls !!! I have to pull them apart @ times that’s the tuff part 🥴🥺🥺
i have a female and male bond and my siter has the same but me and my sisters bunnys fight but i ddi find my rabbits nipping my males butt and he got mad so they kinda fought but there fine the next 4 hrs they made up and started grooming eachother
Hi I have a few questions.. So I have two bunnies. One who is a large 10 pound male who is usually very calm and sweet, and one who is very tiny and kind of crazy or a little bit wild. She can sometimes be aggressive but she is normally ice just a bit wild. I want to bond them together, but my male bunny who is very nice always try’s to attack my smaller bunny by bunny boxing at her. I have not truer to bond them in awhile because I’m terrified of them hurting each other.
To be completely honest, I don’t really know the answer and don’t have experience with that.
When rabbits have a big size difference, it is a little more dangerous. I’d say if you are very confident in reading your rabbits and understand their body language, you could try it, but you’d want to be able to break fights and separate before things escalate.
I saw 101rabbits just released a video today. That might be good because I know Sterling and ebony have a big size difference but seem very happily bonded:)
@@mypawfectfamily thank you so much! I will be sure to check out her video now.
I have 5 rabbits. Two are in pairs and one is kept alone because neither pair I willing to accept him and become a trio. I will admit it was not the best choice on my part to rescue mostly all males- My first pair is a neutered male/ spayed female, my second pair is a neutered male/neutered male and my single is a neutered male. I feel so badly for my single male who wants to become their friends. They all have huge pens and take 6-8 hour turns free roaming and the single bunny will just lay down near the others pens for hours on end. Unfortunately two of my more dominant males (who also separate for this reason) will become extremely aggressive towards him if I try to take one to a neutral territory with him to have a bonding session. I have accepted that my dominant males will never become friendly but I just wish my single bunny would be able to join one of the pairs. Getting a 6th female rabbit is not an option currently, as it is already so expensive to care for 5. I haven't given up yet but we will have to see. I don't want to rehome any of my bunnies so I will continue with my current set up for now. I hope you are able to rebound your two, they are hopefully just going through a rough patch.
Wow! I swear I have two too many some days lol, I couldn’t imagine 5!
Yes I think with patience hopefully we can mend their relationship:)
I’ve bought 2 brothers a the same age there been fine up until 10/11 weeks one day they started fighting ? Any idea why this is ? Will they go back to being buddy’s ?
Unfortunately this is pretty coming with baby bunnies. Most people will keep them separated and rebond after the neuter, some people are lucky and are able to get them bonded again in a few weeks, but it’s kinda a risk since the rabbits aren’t fixed and have all sorts of hormones
@@mypawfectfamily both my male bunnies are neutered already, but they are currently fighting. Orion even had bite marks, I had to separate him from Sirius and Nike (m and f bunnies). They all got along so so well the past three weeks and now all of a sudden the two started fighting. Have I made a mistake separating them? What are my next steps? I‘m so overwhelmed because my other bunnies never fought like this… I think it might be puberty? Although they are neutered but I‘m guessing it still has an impact when they‘re maturing. I‘d be really delighted to get some advice :( I think Orion attacked Sirius and now they‘re both pretty traumatized, so everytime they walk across each other, Orion attacks again :(
Poor suchin I hope he feels better and that they get over it soon
Thanks! They’ve been separated a little over a week and are doing well! I’ll have to slowly start the rebonding process
I have 2 males they fighting crazy, miss fur and they have bite. By end the day they sleep together, and tommorow is a new war. I don't care anymore they fighting every day and i give up. I let them fighting and coming to routine everyday.
Same by me :( my rabbits are ninjas 😂
You did a very good job of choosing who gets the small cage and all that stuff I understand that it was probably very stressful on you as well as the bunnies but I think that maybe you should have taken coco out of the room because he probably stressed suchin out
Coco was only in there while filming and I think he left part way through. Very good observation though! I honestly think my brain was so frazzled I didn’t even consider coco
That's ok
So responsible my rabbits dont fight i have a rex and duch but thay dont fight
Oh no I am sorry about that. That happened to me once and I had 2 Male bunny's as well
Im glad you make this video so others know but i just disagree with is you should of ended the fight at the start so it dont get worse dont force the bond it puts stress on them not hating btw😁 just stating my opinion❤
Thanks for your input! Honestly looking back, I feel like I was so flustered and there were definitely things I wish I did differently.
Well are they spayed or underd and they’re different breeds not all different breeds will get along even if they’re fixed....
Rabbits breeds don’t really impact too much besides their size and appearance. Mostly it’s different personalities:)
Both are dwarf breeds and yes they are both fixed!
Well then....some bunnies are just see others as rivals at one point or they don’t it really depends on they’re breed or size
Yes definitely! That’s why there is the bonding process. These guys were bonded for quite a while without issue, not too sure what went wrong, but I’ll be rebonding them:)
Maybe give them more sharing time I heard once that might help
Did your bunny get along with eachother now?
My Bunnies are also fighting ☹️
what are your bunnies genders?
@@thinkaboutchewi it's a boy and a girl
They are still fighting
We just need to spay & neuter & rebond them 🥺 .. my bunnies look like 2 dust balls when they get into like I MUST literally keep my doors closed are they will go @ it.
What happened?? They seemed so close. :( That must be so stressful for you.
I think I’ll do an entire video discussing the possibilities but honestly I’m not sure. If definitely could have been me missing certain signs, but this really felt completely out of the blue. I think it mainly because Sachin has always been more dominant and as Butchin gets older, the dynamics are changing and they have to reestablish the hierarchy
@@mypawfectfamily That sounds like an interesting video. I think it would also be helpful to talk about what signs to watch for. Now I'm afraid something like this might happen to my rabbits. As someone who has a small group of bonded rabbits this is really scary to me. I would love some tips on preventing this, and what to watch for etc. It would be extremely upsetting and so stressful if this happened to my group. I have never even really thought about them suddenly turning on each other. I sure am sorry this happened to your buns!
Are the spayed/neutered?
Yup!
Both are males so they are neutered:)
Wait are they neutered? Rabbits get really territorial as their hormones start kicking in so maybe if they are not neutered maybe get them neutered.
Yes they are both fixed:)
@@mypawfectfamily ohh ok

I dont think getting rabbits nuetered works, it may only work for a little while but not for life. that's sad.
I'm sorry guys but rabbits shouldn't always be inside a house. They like to see the 🌞 light.
Definitely! However there are a lot of risks to consider before taking your rabbits outdoor even for supervised play:$
@@mypawfectfamily what could be one reason?
Temperature, predators, the rabbit virus, raccoon pee, dogs, I’m sure there are others too;)
I have 5 rabbits in one cage and they they don't fight each other at all so Idk about you.
A cage? Pls don't use a cage
Be careful bunnys 😢❤
No hate but If you knew they don't get along why put them in the same room and leave? Also you let your dog in there.
They’ve been happily bonded almost 2 years:) rabbits can have hormone fluctuations and fight occasionally
You never spayed/neutered your rabbit? If you didn't neuter them that's why they are fighting
I have a neuter vlog, both r fixed:)

I got a second rabbit... BAD IDEA! i think they are both females... an American sable and the second is a small lion head. I put them in a room with kennel panels seperating them. They would sniff each other nose to nose. I did this for 7 days... then i built a big play pen outside. So i could let them go out and stretch there legs for an hour each day... so i put them together... they where good for about 2 minutes.... then all hell broke loose... THEY TRIED TO KILL Each other.... I DO MEAN KILL. One almost lost an eye... so... one has to find a new home... i can't have this.

Yes they are little trained. It’s because their being EXTRA territorial and even if your rabbit is 100% litter trained they still are going to have some accident because if it sticks to their feet or if ur just falls out.
Yup perfectly said! Even on good days they do occasionally poop outside the litterbox, but it was especially bad given the territorialness and fighting

I’m not sure what you’re saying. Rabbits are social and I believe they thrive from companionship. It’s natural for any species to occasionally fight. This is the reality of having bonded rabbits.
You’ve probably had some fights eith your friends, does that mean it would be better to not have any friends?
