    • @BMK500

Pro: shawarma, chill people (generally), you get a lot for your housing, quite a bit to do, being in the center of the Middle East Europe isn’t that far away and so is Asia, Formula 1 and you can actually race on the Bahrain intl circuit for a decent price, Tea.
Cons: not much outside of the northern part of the island, air quality, July August and early September is basically cancelled, SAUDI drivers.
Honorable mention: the harassment isn’t limited to women, I had like 4 Thai women run up on me in a club in juffair, that was a weird one.

Bahrain is a special place. I have a lot of nostalgia for my time living there. One teacher I worked with in the Middle East retired to there…a worthy step. I like Coral Bay, City Centre, the Bahrain Rugby Club, Juffair, & all of the restaurants, al Dar island, scuba diving, all of it!

Bahrain has that rough around the edges, lived-in feel that's missing from a lot of places in the Gulf, which I think makes it more interesting and genuine than places like Dubai. I spent a couple months there total while In the Navy and there's something very nostalgic about it for me.

Bahrain is the jewel in the crown of the Gulf, I first visited in 1981 and have now lived here for 11 years. Going to see Swan Lake and Sleeping Beauty ballets next month, oh and Andre Rieu is here in a few days. Yes, it’s hot and humid in the summer, but you can have a BBQ 363 days in a year 😅, plus it’s a very safe country to live for men and women.

I do agree with harassing and why sugar coat be like bahrainis don’t harass when lots do as well. I’ll tell you what this video is, its just a conservative politically correct attempt to show your opinion while fearing to say something that could compromise you staying in bahrain in the future or fearing retribution from locals.
