I got teary-eyed towards the end and I have no connection to this club or this man. Beautiful story.
Same Bro
me too bro. i love this game
As a supporter of Hammarby, I thank you for the wonderful comment.
I have met him plenty of times, even had dinner with him a couple of times.
And he is exactly as you see him in this video, genuine, and just a player for the fans, he really belived in the club, and still do.

@@davidkornback3013 As an American with Swedish heritage, (Great grandparents came from Kalmar in the 1910s and my original last name is Johansson) you're welcome. I take pride in great Swedes and Kennedy certainly is one.
Thanks a lot for your kind words.
When i was a teenager, my nickname on the biggest football French forum was "Bakircioglu" because he was my favorite Championship Manager player. Everybody was calling me "Bakir" for years, even my IRL friends on the football pitch. I was a huge troll back in the days, everybody laughed at my posts. Then, life hit me hard, i've spent very difficult times during years and years. I've lost family members ad friends. I went into a hard depression, i thought about suicide a lot of times. Nobody was calling me "Bakir" anymore, and i was thinking about those good old days sometimes. Things were easier. The only good thing left in my life was football.
But now my problems are solved, this was almost a miracle but i did it, and on this very day CZcams recommended me this video. Life is weird sometimes. Like a cup of beer coming out from nowhere ;)
This is a very strange connection, i am from south of France, an Olympique de Marseile fan, who cry to the last game of a Swedish guy i've proudly worn his name for years...
Take care , "Bakir". :)
Awesome story. Regards from Brazil.
Awesome story indeed. Regards from South Africa.
@@fernando.tomina Obrigado Fernando, take care my friend ;)
I'm glad the film touched you. I have shared your story on 79’s Facebook page. 💚
@@andreasbjuner5537 Thank you very much Andreas for those kind words and this share of my modest story. And thanks a lot for this wonderful video , you are very talented. The most touching thing to me is that you filmed all those people with a lot of heart and humanity, i can see you are a very nice person !
One of my dreams is to see the Aurora Borealis in northern Sweden. If one day i achieve this goal, i will stop to Stockholm and hopefully share a beer with you in the Hammarby stadium :)
I stopped using Facebook about 3 years ago so i must find my password lol, this is a good reason to get back in it to salute you and like your page 💚
The way he caught that flying beer was perfect
Like cradling his infant son. :D
A player from Brøndby IF in Denmark did the same thing and everyone just lolled 😂
Geert den ouden did it before Kennedy
As a fan of AIK (Hammarby’s rival) it’s hard to say that I could like any of their players. But, Kennedy, is something else. Such a great player and human. He has my respect. There’s not many players so dedicated to one club and for that I respect the h*ll out of him.
Snyggt!
(My opinion) You can NEVER like your rival teams player, you can respect them but never like them.
As an Ajax fan, that is how I feel towards Dirk Kuyt. Some players only deserve respect.
@@celalkucuk7038 I agree. I would never like an opponent player but in rare cases I will respect them. Because they have proven themselves worthy.
This my friends is what true football is all about.
You struggle, you lose, you miss goals,
You practice with the dream of being the best, but not everyone can be the best. But you still work anyway.
Your a good person on and off the pitch and the people love you, not because of the trophies but of the character.
You work hard and do good things and you will be rewarded.
Respects to Kennedy, legend.
I mean props to mr. K here for that free kick but come on people, the real hero is the aerospace engineer who launched that cup.
😅 agree! That was perfectly calculated 😂
that man needs an interview and explain how he puled it off 😂
Barnaby Kariuki there is one
@@nouseforthischannelanymore4444 where can I find it?😂
Barnaby Kariuki Its in Swedish but I can tell you what he said
This is the content we come here for👌

Would love to have this guy's confidence with this hairstyle
Confidence through the roof
Hahahahahh
Looking at his hairline you can see he had a transplant but forgot the rest of his hair would dissapear too and the result is what you saw there.
Better concentrate on your civil services
Well, opposition fans used to sing " kennedy is 19 years, he got no hair" soynds better un swddish tho
I still remember watching a Hammarby game in 2016. I was just visiting the city but i was curious how it will be in Sweden. The game was an ordinary league game against Kalmar FF, which Hammarby even lost. But still i will never forget the atmosphee in that stadium. I will never get these chants out of my ear, where they have been stuck ever since.
Coming from Germany i have seen some of the best players in the world play. But watching Hammarby was different. There was something special about that stadium and the people. I wish all ghe best to the club and the supporters.
They are known in Sweden as the club that was first with having singing supporters.
Was it cause of gothia cup? I ve been in Sweden at 2009 and i watched a game Hammarby vs Kalmar! It was free for the players that they were playing for Gothia Cup. It was my first ever game i watched from Hammarby. Since then i love this club even if i am miles away.
@@user-yt2jw9ni5s gothia cup is in Gothenburg, not Stockholm
All my respect to the club and its fans but since you're German, you can't tell me that that compares to the Dortmund experience, or does it?
I know man i ve been there lol. For some reason the game was taking place at Ullevi stadium.
I believe the best football tales come from the smaller leagues, with amazing attendance, support, and fandom; there is a direct connection between squad and supporters that transcends...the legend of Kennedy and Hammarby.
Kennedy is a one in a million though. His passion for the club and willingness to leave La Liga (and a La Liga salary) to save Hammarby from the nearly being relegated from the second division is something very, very few players would do. Most players jumped ship when we were relegated - Kennedy jumped onboard to save us from the depths.
Damn...I've never head of this dude but I kinda shed a tear watching this.
People said the quality of your content has declined.....
Thank God you dispel that real quick.
apart from championship manager, i dont know much about this player. its great to see legends from clubs that we dont really know much about. please do more of these
🤜🤛
We know our football at Palace!
@@jimbowers1693 shame the board and manager dont tho
Mentions cm. "A man of culture I see!"
i think that was back in around 98,99 versions which he was hidden talent in CM, but just checked wikipedia somehow he hasnt had a bad career though
I started watching football around the time he was at Ajax, playing alongside Stam, Davids and Suarez. I will never forget 'the semi-bald eagle' 🙌
Even tho im from the rival club Djurgårdens IF i still have the highest amount of respect for Kennedy! True leader and a great man!

Awesome story. Long live Kennedy

Big love from Iraklis Greece
Thank you Kennedy for the magic football moments you shared also with us
This was special. I remember seeing a clip of “the catch” but learning the story behind this man was really a pleasure. Thank you. And “OH AH Kennedy!”
Man, I love the internet! Otherwise, living in South Africa, I would've never known about this man & his story.
i am from South AFrica my father spent time in Sweden, and I have loved Hammarby since about 2011
First, As a professional footballer, you have to say that he has an extremely big heart. His genuine friendliness and respect for football fans is incomparable.
Second, As a supporter, Im so glad and grateful that you chose to do a section on this Copa90. Thank you, truly, thank you. This legend, Kennedy, means so much for the club Hammarby. As we say, He is the greatest we have had.
Third, SAY OH AH KENNEDY, SAY OH AH KENNEDY!
Was in the stadium for that game, I can honestly say the anticipation before the free kick and the pure eruption of joy afterwards was one of the most magical moments I've ever witnessed. Amazing guy, true Hammarby legend and what a legendary last goal.
Respekt till Kennedy!👏

Even tough i'm rival supporter of Hammarby, i must give this man credit where credit is due.
We really enjoyed him here as well in Holland at FC Twente
Greatest Assyrian player that we have. Thank you for carrying our flag in the football world.
Remember when he played for my club FC Twente, great player
Wow, amazing goal.... and the beer catch 😮what a memorable farewell! Fantastic atmosphere, that's why soccer is the best sport....All the best to Hammarby from an F C PORTO supporter 🇵🇹 💝 🇸🇪
Proud to be a supporter!! 💚⚪️💚⚪️💚
Im a malmö FF fan, and i even love Kennedy. Such a great player.
The kid kept looking at him when he was tearing. Such a compassionate kid.
What do you think is the greatest ever goal celebration?
Romario - bebeto 94
Do you know that he has played at the same club as Hatzipanagis? Iraklis in Salonica, Greece

This man is Cantona in disguise.
What a fantastic video!
Such a great player ! Greetings from a Racing de Santander fan
This is real football, genuine, authentic, local football. Thank you Copa 90 for sharing stories like this!
I remember jumping down from the stands and celebrating with kennedy himself it was such a beutiful moment and something that i will never forget.
Had a very good spell with Racing in LaLiga too (he was their top combined goals and assists in the first season). There's a podcast about it somewhere... ;)
Find me the podcast please? Or something I can google. I know a lot of people who would love to hear
What podcast!?

Appreciate it Devon! We'll be keeping an eye on Toronto this season 👀🙌
Oh really? I live in Ottawa and I would love to see a video of that.
I really needed this. Thank you to everyone who took part. Thanks for posting.
Great documenary about a great player and human being. As a supporter of a rival club I can't dislike Kennedy. He is a player I think everyone respects in Sweden. That last moments of his football-career is perfect. To score, catch a beer and celebrate with the fans. Almost to good to be true! :)
He's a beast in Championship Manager 01/02..
What a story! A Celebration you can only dream of!
I loved that little film. Thank you.
I have always loved football ever since I was a kid (can remember playing as young as 3). For large parts of my childhood playing football was the only time I felt like my true self. In all that I never truly understood what football really means and thanks to COPA 90 content, especially the derby day series I have that question answered. lots of love guys!!
It's a beautiful story. Never knew about this player. Respect for the moment he created🙏
Remember when i was at his last game. It was so much love and so many tears. Forever a legend.
Dope story
Fantastiskt stark video, stort tack för den...
Awesome documentary about this great player and human being! And what a free-kick shooter! Beautiful story, thank you again COPA90!
Beautiful! What an amazing story, this is why football is the best sport in the world, the fan base and their passion is out of this world.
My first introduction to Kennedy was on Championship Manager, where he remains a legend to this day. He then came to play in The Netherlands for Twente, eventually moving to my club Ajax, where he never really made it, unfortunately. I was present for his finest hour in the famous red and white, a stunning game winning goal away at Fiorentina in the Europa League, sending us travelling fans into euphoria. You can find the goal here on YT, just type Kennedy Fiorentina, thank me later.
I Will forever hate Van Basten for how he treated Kennedy while at Ajax. Gets me mad just mentioning it...
This is brilliantly made Andreas and team!
Trots att man är gnagare så har man stor respekt till Zlatans kronprins Kennedy.
really well done! great story, great production
I was at his last game, it was incredible. never seen such energy atsmosphere and love ever.
What a beautiful story and video.
This is great thanks Copa
Beautiful Story....stories like this is what makes the game so beautiful. ❤️ ⚽️
Så vackert, tack💚
I'm a Djurgården supporter and even I feel that this was faith. God is good. I salute Kennedy, a true football legend. All the best to him.

SÄG OH AH KENNEDY, Hammarby för alltid i mitt hjärta
I got goosebumbs towards the end!
The most important question is. Who is the legend that threw the bear?
Great question...🍺
El max Swedish media actually found the guy responsible and he told them it was not intentionally. While celebrating the goal he just threw his beer and it landed where it did. Like Kennedy said, it was meant to be.
@@diondrake7878 czcams.com/video/BLuXsnZ-HgQ/video.html it was all planned. The beer was all staged.
@@diondrake7878 you are full of crap hahaha liar.
El max Bruh.. you can’t honestly believe that they staged that. That video is clearly a joke hahah. Look it up for yourself it was all an coincidence.
yep, eyes are wet to see a beautiful much loved great player I never heard before coz he played for league i never watched but amazing talent great human being and yes just after watching this video I feel a connection with Kennedy and club. wish you good luck Kenndy you are lucky that so many people love you.
Love you guys for doing this
We love you for watching, Erik!
Championship Manager Legend! One of the best players ever on the game!
14:18 for the awesome beer throw
🍻
Who else know him from Championship Manager?
I remembered signed him, role him as the MC...free role....and won everything!
Kennedy helps sometimes with training in my younger brothers team and my step dad is one of the biggest Hammarby fans, and one time i got the chance to take a picture with him it was so cool to meet him
Love that! great player even better bloke
Vilken fantastisk spelare 💚
It always made me smile over the years when I’d see Bakirciouglu on football manager, a great player from the Champ Manager days!
You guys should make a video about Markus Rosenberg’s ending in Malmo and what he did for our club in the last 6 years that he was back. Took a swedish team to Champions League for the first time in i think 13-14 years, and we did it again the year after, and ever since then, we’ve pretty much been in european group stages and knockouts every year. A big part of that is thanks to Rosenberg. His last home game was insane, i can imagine it felt like Hammarbys in this video, much love and respect to Hammarby and Copa90!
Som bajare, håller fullständigt med.
redhairedtics kung👊🏻👊🏻 lycka till säsong 2020
Helt riktigt! Såg som Bajare hans sista match och det tifot kan vara det bästa jag sett på bra länge. Och sedan hur han avgör matchen, nej det var en sjuk match.

Beautiful documentary and tribute. Thank you for uploading in English subtitles. I read comments below and people are crying out for a documentary on Malmö's Markus Rosenberg, I'd love to see that too. Best wonderful wishes to Kennedy's future and to Hammarby. I promise to return soon. A very special club ~ 💚
He deserves a documentary for sure.
Bästa Kung Kennedy! För alltid i mitt 💚
Great video! Very emotional! Say oh ah Kennedy! #forzabajen

My favourite player and my favourite club. I was there on this day and I will never forget it.
Wow... You have to respect the person and the player.. Wonderful FK to seal it and the celebration..Well..That was simply out of this world.. Well done Kennedy..YNWA

He scored a legendary goal for my team (Ajax) against in an away-game against Fiorentina. Our section went completely nuts, absolutely bizarre scenes that night. One of my best European trips ever, and will never forget this goal and that game
Saw it on CZcams yesterday, man can a man do anything but love Kennedy. What an champ
Respect, total respect! This is football at its finest.
As a Sirius fan this maked me almost cry, very beatuiful story!
He was so good at FC Twente!
His passion and loyalty remind me of Gattuso for AC Milan. What a legend.
An extremely talented player and what a poetic end to his great career; that free-kick and then catching the plastic glass with beer and drinking it! To me that is very much Hammarby ..! :-)
