Girl I LOOOOOOOOOOOVE this cute 60s bubble flip!! I adore it on you. ❤❤❤
Have you thought about finding old issues of Vogue or similar magazines and recreating the looks featured? Might be a fun series
Your make-up looks 100% genuine vintage, which I find impressive. Usually when people attempt this look it still looks too modern somehow.
"There's something sexy about a messy beehive"- YASSSS I could not agree more lol
Actually, in west Texas in the sixties, we had the flip, and the Bubble was full and curled under at the ends. We called it Page Boy too, if it was curled under on the ends.
Came your vid. Awww..... Reminds of one my first earliest memories! I remember seeing my then way younger aunt at my grandmas' house brushing her hair like that at her vanity table in the morning while getting ready for work.
Cute hair flip! I love how this looked on you! One thing though - with 60s hair flips, height is everything! And I feel this was a little too flat at the crown. My mom and my aunt lived through this era. They told me they used to roll up a sock to place underneath their backcombing on top of their heads. Lol
My aunt did this style in the late sixties and she rolled her hair on orange juice cans...yes, orange juice cans! Then she would tease the daylights out of it to get as high as she could! I miss those days!
You can also lift it with a rat tail comb. I’m 76 and wore the flip a lot! But my hair was middle of the neck length. It’s been long since I married at 18.
Brings back old memories!
You make all the things look so easy 💖
So beautiful! 😍👏 Thanks for sharing this! Can’t wait to cut my hair soon to style it this way. 💕
Using this to do my hair as Linda Belcher for a Halloween party tonight!!!
During the 1990’s, the ‘60’s flip was such a popular style back then. I love the flip style, because you can do it with your hair down, half updo and ponytail. It’s a classic style that never goes out of style.
Always wanted my hair like this, never knew how. Thanks for the tutorial so stoked!!!!
This hair style is SOOOOOO cute!!!!!
more 60's hair styles/make up tutorials please!! :)
As others said- Wow you created an authentic and beautiful Sixties look! Fabulous- takes me back to a great time thanks.
To get a bubble flip with a little more height (without adding any height attachment on the crown), what you really need to do is an old fashioned wash and set with hair curlers/dippity-do styling gel, and then dry hair in a hair bonnet dryer before you do the back teasing and comb out. Electric curlers will work, too, but the wash and set is the gold standard for this hairstyle. A curling iron is not as effective for bubble flips because it won't hold the curl shape for this hairstyle as well as curlers will. You can still get curlers and hair bonnet dryers at beauty supply stores. There's also hair bonnet attachments you can use over a handheld hair dryer nozzle.
Childhood hair goals!!
