      what a bullshit explanation pal.
in capitalism system you have responsibility for your own business. government should not take responsibility to help people for business, in fact they have to regulate and make some law for them.
all your product also made from capitalist, sure they after profit, but remember people will go for your product if you make a good product them self. if you make bad exploit, people will less to buy your product. and market always compete each other. (so be careful when opening a business. people like CEO, Manager always have big responsibility. thats why they have bigger paycheck).
you call capitalist a tyrant are short sighted, a lot of great people are capitalist, they create jobs and elevate living condition. and you refuse to say Soviet and China a communist are beyond stupidity. they implement communism them self, and if you think otherwise remember that human are not a machine / ants.
communism always take people free will to live, they make them as a robot because they cant compete. innovation blocked (dont take consideration for will power, not every human want to innovate. but when money comes, they will do everything to innovate.)
last note : you hate capitalism, then stay away from our product in first place. i hate hypocrite.

In Australia we have one of the largest gas reserves and because of market competition now we are short of gas ..
And the word state capitalism is forgotten in this video.. and yes state capitalism is being practices in the soviet union...
You see my friend.. competition between nations we never have but competition between wealthy capitalists we do..
And yes in Australia 🇦🇺 we have many gas companies but the world stock market setting the value and yeah that sense of competition is diminished..

Communism is impossible, it only work well when people are not greedy. Cause when the government take the right to distribute profit to everyone equally, they should be fair, no greedy, no selfish. But you know, communists don't believe in God or religion so they are always greedy, lie, selfish....If communism work well, the society shouldn't have gap between rich and poor. Actually, in realiaty, see what happended in The North of Korea, Vietnam, Cuba.... ???? When the government have power, they take all money, they corrupt and turn out... the communism countries cannot develop, people are poor, only Government takes benefit .... => Communism is shit, even you dont have any free to speak, to say what you think abt Government. ... Should think about the NOrth of Korea, VietNAm, China, Cuba to take example abt communism. I think dont have to explain more, you'd better decide which one is good by yourself

    • @josuepaz2882
      @josuepaz2882 Před 3 lety

Best way to think about it is this:
Capitalism allows anyone to individually (or with help from others) open up a business (given they are successful) EARN wealth and become rich. Via physical products (selling cars) or services (fixing cars). This is done on the ‘individual’ basis. A tested byproduct of this is UNEQUAL amounts of monies to people. Also monopolies form! If not regulated.
Socialism is this: The public (aka government) ‘owns’ means of production therefore government makes and sells the cars to the public. The problem with this is that Governments are inefficient and ineffective and they struggle to meet the demands of the people. Small-Medium sized businesses do this beautifully. Furthermore, in THEORY! Socialism perfectly meets the needs of the people and perfectly redistributes wealth. In PRACTICE! Socialism/communism has contributed to the deaths of millions of people via Famine and the politically powerful imposing their will on the ‘Equal Class’.
In US society! Capitalism is like a Starbucks, Summit Racing, Tesla creating a product for the public (if they successful) and making monies and competing with other companies to make better products. A few government/socialist... industry are like Social Security, FHA Loans, Utilities like Water and Electricity. Mandatory Medical/health insurance is another Socialist Industry. The US has multiple socialist industries that have slowly grown over time, however, as we all know whom have participated in these socialist programs. They are a pain, long, inefficient, ineffective, create unnecessary debt, and sometimes don’t even deliver. Also they cost lots of money.
Capitalism has also been around for ages. The Silk Road or the Indian Ocean Trade are good examples of purely Capitalistic/Free Trade Networks that gave birth to vast amounts of innovations and ingenuity. Example, the Indians, like before Issac Newton, came up with RUDIMENTARY Laws of Gravity and ‘clunky’ Calculus. Issac Newton literally just refined these discoveries. Examples of Socialist/Communism are the Soviet Union, Cuba, Today’s Venezuela, North Korea, Singapore ( but their complicated), and I believe Mao Zedongs Communist China.
Lots of info friend, hope it helps!
      Thanks

difference between capitalism and communism is that one works and the other doesn't. Communism is idealistic utopia that can't exist, there have been multiple countries that tried this experiment but they all failed miserably and ended up with much worse living standard and total collapse of economy. Russia still haven't fully recovered from their communism even though it's been 30 years

"Education must be free for everybody." Doesn't mean that education is equal.
The problem with communism is that talent has to be noticed by the central planning committee, whereas in capitalism, the most talented are naturally sorted out. Of course, not all talent in capitalism will have opportunity, however, survival of the fittest is much more efficient than the guesswork of a central planning committee.

Yeah, that was probably one of the few un-communistic things in the Soviet Union along with Soviet soldiers exchanging post-shaving lotion for socks. The Sputnik project required CONCENTRATING enough wealth and resources in the hands of some scientists and engineers in order to develop the first artificial satellite. They were COMPETING against the U.S. which later beat the Soviets by being the first country to land in the moon with the Apollo 11 project. Hmm...initiation of free enterprise, wealth concentration and competition, that sounds very capitalistic to me. The Soviet Union might have won the first part of the space race but it was not because of communism but despite it, and they managed to cause the death of at least 20 millions of its own people through man-made famines and military strikes against civilians and other military bodies. Communist policies detroyed people´s abilities to acquire enough wealth to be able to help others and made everyone EQUALLY empoverished and starving to death, except for government officials and the state, what a surprise. ´´Imagine all the brilliant minds that got wasted because they were born in empovered environments and had no way to florish.´´ -You

Communism is equal outcome, not equal opportunity. I agree that education should be free, but welfare capitalism can also provide that. Capitalism with free education will provide the biggest opportunity for the great minds to shine, because under communism, everything has to be decided under a central committee, but under capitalism they can decide for themselves. Autonomy foster creativity.
Also, even though Russia was the first country to enter space, it wasn't the first country to land on the moon.

I agree that there should be free healthcare and education provided by the state, but having some privatisation of it wouldn't hurt, as long as the public education and healthcare is adequate enough. Denmark is a good example of this. Over here, the government provides adequate education and healthcare to it's citizens for free, but some of the schools and hospitals are private and has to be paid for. Some people over here prefer to use the private hospitals and education instead.
You also seem to mistake capitalism for corporatism. Corporatism is were the bigger corporations and the government work hand in hand to stifle competition. Under free market capitalism, you will still get a chance if you start your own business.

There's also a third economic system, and it's the one we have in the United States and Europe, Corporatism. Corporatism or corporate Cronyism is an economic system in which the state essentially picks winners and losers through endless regulations, licensing laws, etc, usually lobbied for by big box businesses, and in which the free market is severely limited.

"In communism, you work and contribute as much as you can and you take whatever you need or want"
This is the problem. Everyone starts to contribute less, while their needs increase. Also not all people contribute the same so those who contribute more are basicly exploited by the -lazy- less productive ones. There is no incentive to contribute more then the bare minimum. That is why communism needs a tyrannical state, so commissars can force people to work at gunpoint.

    • @cyruslupercal6087
      @cyruslupercal6087 Před 6 lety

"Also, if you want to talk about forcing people to work at gunpoint; that is a capitalism in a nutshell.." What world are you fucking living in? No one is forcing you at gunpoint to get a job, unlike in socialism where jobless people were considered "dangerous freeloaders" and the police came for them...
If communism is anarchic then the term communism is redundant, just call it anarchy, because there is only one type of it (yes, ancaps and ancoms are stupid for arguing over the brand of anarcy when there is only one). Nothing works in anarchy, it's not a stable state of affairs, it always leads to the formation of a hyerarchy.
The problem of communism and equality is that people are not equal by default and over time inequality grows. Only way communism could work if humans were physically and mentaly the same.

@Peter Rakowski Every "wage laborer" enters into a consensual business relationship with the capitalist. Some capitalists have only five employees. They have the talent to run a business. Not everyone does. Not everyone wants to take the risk of running a business. That risk is rewarded by making more money. Innovation happens in Capitalism, not in Socialism or Communism because there must be an incentive. Finally, individuals follow their natural instincts to take care of themselves first, and must do so by providing products and services to others to exchange for other products and services. That's the genius of capitalism and why its done more raise people out of poverty than any other economic tool. Socialism and Communism have produced death and poverty.

Karl Marx did not say that "society should be organized differently"...
Karl Marx explains that the Capitalist system produces an abundance of goods and technological progress to the point where production becomes so cheap, that the market crashes. Because technology advances, the proletarians will have the means to wage class warfare against their exploiters. Eventually, the proletarians will bring down the bourgeois, just like the burghers of the feudal society brought down the nobility.
Karl Marx explains that Capitalism is a revolutionary force, which transforms society and economy, and its consequence is Communism. Society and economy are already transitioning to a Communist system. Here's a couple examples or communist businesses that are transforming the capitalist economy into a communist economy:
    1. CZcams - you are watching youtube videos for free. Because technology makes stuff so cheap, you can set up your own Tv Channel on CZcams for very little money. 10 or 20 or 50 years ago, you would've had to pay good money to get access to news and entertainment on television, now you get it for free.
    2. Skype, chat, email and data storage - you are communicating on Whatsapp through email, chat, voice and video for free. Gone are the days when you had to pay big bucks so you can call your partners on the other side of the country to send you more supplies, or just say happy birthday to your grandma.
    3. Wikipedia, and education in general - you are using Google Search to learn a lot about a lot of stuff, for free. Gone are the days when you had to get a pirated copy of Microsoft Encarta, or spend big buck on a Britannica Encyclopedia, or travel the city for hours to get to a library and read about Communism and Karl Marx, cuz you don't have money to pay for books. Today you just go on google, and educate yourself for free.
The future is in Communism, whether you like it or not. A business won't be able to make a profit without having a Community around its product. Nike, Apple, Star Wars, taught us that lesson. You need a Community who is loyal to your product, or your business dies.

+Sprin Draconis look no further than CZcams. You get entertainment for free. The corporations have to pay CZcams for advertising their products. But you - the worker, do not have to pay for CZcams.
On Steam, games like Dota 2 are free2play. They offer the basic game free of charge, in hopes that some dudes will buy advanced services.
Observe how Skype, Whatsapp, e-mail, Google Drive, Google Search Engine, Linux, Blender, Wikipedia, Games, Books, and so many computer services and apps, are free of charge.
That's because the computer technology forces the market to evolve faster in the way Marx explained in his theory of the capital.
Goods like food and clothes, are under a tight monopoly of the corporations, so they can regulate the market, and prevent the consequences of Capitalist development, described by Marx.
Unfortunately, once you control the market, you are no longer in Capitalism.

+Sprin Draconis The point is that the Proletarian doesn't have to pay to have access to CZcams. It is the Bourgeois who has to pay, to have access to the Proletarian, through CZcams.
This is a completely different mode of production than the system in which the Proletarian had to pay to use mail, had to pay to listen to music, watch movies or documentaries, had to pay to play a game, had to pay to use a phone.
Today you can use Skype to talk for free, use e-mail to send letters to your grandma, for free, you can listen to music, watch movies and documentaries for free, play games for free, use all kinds of applications - like Blender, for free.
But it's fine if you don't want to see reality. It's not like reality will be any different, if you refuse to see it as it is.

The reason advertisements work on youtube is cause we're pretty much ment to buy lets say a five hour energy, if five hour energy comercials on youtube then they wouldn't make the add and youtube would need another form of revenu. The main problem is that most societies will use both communism and capitalism to better themselves and try to limit the power of the people.
For example:Lets say you worked hard and did open a really successful business. Now what? You have to pay high taxes and while your paying those tax you'll have to pay people to do your taxes because your tax is so time wasting and complicated.

What's not fair about capitalism? Unequal distribution to its workers? The CEOs/Entrepreneurs who started the company worked very hard, spent lots of money to even open a company in the first place and probably started in a low-wage job, while a janitor who just sweeps the floor at a company earns a wage according to his/her labor. Sweeping floors isn't as tough as starting companies and If he or she doesn't like the pay, then he or she has the right to look for a new job ... keeping in mind that that janitor also has the opportunity to start his or her company and becoming the next CEO/Entrepreneur.

You don't need either book to explain this. Capitalism let's people (theoretically) succeed or fail on their own. Some people will do well and be happy and others will fail and be sad. Communism will hold a gun to your head and force you to accept a way of life whether you like it or not and accept what they give you. (for free) Again, some people will be happy and others will be sad, but nobody will really succeed or fail. In the end, both will have happy and sad people. One will have some successful people, the other will not have successful people and everybody will be equally poor. This one also requires force to get to the same result. I like that one. It's cool.

Listen, the reason Communism can not and will not work is because humans are not robots. Humans are diverse creatures: We are angry, we are sad, we are strong, we are weak, proactive, lazy, assertive, passive.... those differences are also the root of our success or failure.
Those differences are what cause particular provoked emotions that, again, are different with each person and that will cause them to be either more or less productive and that will effect their quality of life.
If we were all robots, or at least robot like, communism would be great... but we're not. We're animals of greed that aspire for the stars. We want more and more... communism does not provide that option
We are not creatures that can function on communism.
Communism should never be an option if you treasure your freedom.

Dmitriy Mikhailovich Yeah, of course! IMO there are two ways, how a communist country can exist:
1.Fall back into the stone age and live in many tiny little groups, which are relatively close to you so you can emphasize with them.
      +we reached true communism! Woohoo!
-progress cannot take place, because knowledge and Innovations would destroy those little groups and lead to a break down of communism, so we would literally be forced to live like cavemen (and women).
2.we have Robots and other machines that do all the work, therefore nobody wants to be poorer than others for no reason and at the end everyone is equal.
      +We reached communism! Hooray!
-Damn! Who Controls these robots? Who knows, how they are built? What do we do, when their Systems crash? Whats the point in Life when you dont have to do anything anymore?

What's happening now though is that the most powerful and large corporations are buying influence in government to crush capitalism and move it into a more oligarchical system to week out competition. See examples of how the biggest telcom companies are trying to squash municipalities from developing their own highspeed internet or legally barring Google into their Market to maintain monopolies. Government is suppose to breakup monopolies to protect capitalism.

Everybody in a communistic society makes the same amount of money no matter what you do. Would you rather go to school for 8 years and be a doctor or work as a janitor and make the same amount of money. There's a third option, you can be an unregistered cab driver and make stupid amounts of money because you're not paying taxes to the government.
Also in a communist society, you gotta have a state which enforces all of communisms rules. Meaning that in a world where everyone is equal, you end up with a group of people that are "more equal than others. While everyone else is making 4$ a day (not an exact number just an example) you have a group of people living in giant homes because they are making sure that everyone else is equal. BOOM! you're back where you started.

What would you call an economic system where all the principles of capitalism, like free market, competition, citizens running businesses, etc. was mixed with the communist idea that wealth earned by the company must be shared with the workers. Does such a system exist/ have a name?

    • @mpmitchell2112
      @mpmitchell2112 Před 8 lety

+Stephanie Wells well... you should have thrown "private property" in there with the capitalism stuff... capitalism revolves around private property because its just people freely exchanging their property. Apples for oranges, labor for money, apples for money, whatever. So a system where the wealth earned by individuals or corps (corps are just individuals pooling their assets for purposes of production) is "shared" (forcefully I presume since people are obv able to freely donate to charity) would be antithetical to the idea of private property. To get the benefits of capitalism you need private property, so confiscating and re-distributing wealth messes up the incentive process. I believe the system that combines the two can be accurately called "interventionism" and it is inherently unstable. It either leads further down the road to socialism or you can forget the whole thing and return to free markets.

This is one form of social economy, Marxist economy isn't the only form of economic socialism. There are planned social economy's, where the state determines the economy, which has it's ups and downs. Market socialism, where private businesses are collective, and it's either split equally, or democratically for how much you actually did. There are other forms of market socialism and planned socialism, an example is decentralized planned socialism. Where the state, which is commonly divided in a communialistic way to reduce tyrany and corruption of the economy. And there are other forms of classless socialism that relies entirely on the society to maintain the economy, like anarchic socialism. Where all unneeded government is dismantled, however governing and maintaining land is still done by democracy. On the upper spectrum, Authoritarianism. You have Bolshevik planned economy, where a autocrat rules up above, the USSR had this. It worked alright after Stalin and before the Brezhnev-Gorbochev stagnation, due to Brezhnev's Russian conservatism and tolerance to economic corruption. The economy isn't one sided, it's entangled with the government, culture, and the individual.

Russia, China, Cuba and Venezuela tried it and it worked, fabulously. Well, at least it did for the few on top who got to distribute the wealth.

Russia failed due to the Brezhnev-gorbochev stagnation, Brezhnev's tolerance to corruption allowed the weak planned economy to collapse. China had a literal civil war that broke their entire nation, and they are the second highest gdp with market socialism. Venezuela isn't even socialist, they are 2/3 private economy, plus the American sanctions upon them.
