  • The Flashforge Adventurer 5M PRO from looks like a great option in todays 3D Printing market consisting of SPEED. The price point and features alone makes this printer an interesting alternative. And with option cloud printing, it strikes back on the competition where it hurts the most.

For those having adhesion issues, I have a couple things you could try. When I first got the printer, the bed seemed almost oily to the touch, so I gave it a good scrub with some water and detergent. There was definitely some sort of coating on it as the water was just running off. Second, with the test files, 35 degrees is way too low for the bed temperature, so I cranked it to 50 degrees (you can do mid print). Thirdly, I also changed the Z offset for the test files (again, right after the levelling and right before printing) to 0.05 and that seemed to help too. I also noticed that if you were doing levelling before print and the nozzle wasn't adequately cleaned, it didn't level correct to the tip of the nozzle. I also ran another calibration cycle too.

I have the flash forge adventure 4, at work, and ender 3 v2 neo at home, and I gotta say, the leveling without springs is nice

Oh for sure! The whole vibration setup is quite impressive 👍

Do you already managed to compare m5 pro with bambu lab p1p or p1s? Thinking to get one but still can't decide which one!!! 😦😦😦🤯

    Good video.
Are you forced to use the glue all the time or can you print without it?

Glue is mostly there to avoid too good adhesion with petg. At least in theory. But currently I find it quite necessary on the adv5. I’m testing if it’s just first layer settings from flashprint or actual flaw in the pei-plate.

@@3DPrintTechDesignI also own have my hands on an ad 5 and I’m experiencing similar issues regarding bed adhesion. Please let me know if you find out anything!

Yeah, whats up with the bed?? I wanna get this printer, but maybe we'll have to get a new build plate.

@@harrisonbrewer5119I just bought an adventure 5 pro and got it yesterday. My first 5 prints wouldn’t stick to the bed at all. It was terrible.. I tried all the normal tricks. Glue, rubbing alcohol then glue, increased the bed temp to 50 and 55 degrees.. nothing worked.. what I ended up noticing was the bed plate plastic seemed like it had an oil coat on it. I took it to my sink and scrubbed it with a green Brillo pad and dawn dish soap and never had an issue for 3 prints (no cleaning in between) then I washed it the same way again and I was good for about 5 big prints.. did it again and now I can get 6-7 prints with perfect adhesion before having to clean it again. Also it seems the more you use the bed and wash it with dawn the more of that factory oil comes off it and the better the bed plate gets. I use to stress and watch the first few layers every single print which got annoying and once I solved the issue scrubbing it with dawn I just hit print and don’t even look at it again till it’s finished.. prints come out FLAWLESS.. PS. This morning I also switched to the .6 nozzle and it prints so well for what I do I won’t be going back to a .4 .. I have no reason to (least not yet)

Oh and also.. iv been printing non stop with it since 7pm last night.. and didn’t finally shut it down till 7pm tonight.. so it printed for 12 hours straight and I have a whole shelf full of stuff I made with it.. not a SINGLE issue with this machine once I scrubbed that bed plate with dawn a few times
