I started writing fanfictions in my teens to improve my grammar and spelling (I do my fanfictions on Archive of our own, Fanfiction,net and Wattpad.) and now in my lates 20s I've started my first novel, Fallen. but I love the video! This really help me, I have always wanted to be a writer as a child.I don’t know what happened but I stop writing and now I want to but I am scared my ideas will never lead to a good story, my Imagination is not so good and that I wouldn’t be able to write good stories, like sad, fighting,scenes in stories or good characters. Honestly, Ana, you have been saving me with your videos recently. Right now, I'm currently writing my first draft of a story idea I have had stuck in my head for quite some time. It's about this girl who falls in love with a ghost, but he is slowly disappearing. Now, they are just trying to make the best of everything, and he's trying to help her out with her issues before he is gone.
This episode was soooo refreshing, I loved it 💕🥹 thank you a lot, Ana. I really really wanna publish my first book, the first one I’VE EVER finished, knowing pretty well that it is not gonna be my best work. I also started a podcast where I narrate short stories that I write and I get that impostor syndrome that I just… suck, like, no, I’ll never be good at this and people are just gonna… dislike it, haha. I am working on improving, of course, but I tend to feel so… down when it comes to sharing my writing and, at least with the podcast, I already started. When it comes to my first book, I am doing my absolute best on making it amazing but I’ve decided to publish it independently, cause the thing with this specific book is that I want to have it on my hands as paperback and/or hardcover, it is mostly for myself to enjoy and be like “ooh, I wrote this”, but I know that there’s gonna be a few people who are probably reading it and I’m scared they find it too bad, idk.

something i love to do is take movies or books that already exist and combine them all together, for example if your stuck on an idea and you like dystopian novels you could write a book inspired by hunger games the divergent and maze runner, like add a elements from each book series but make sure it’s your own original story
I have a question, so i love to plot even tho it’s very hard and it is a lot of work i just operate so much better if i plot my book before i start but my problem is that every time i plot i plot so much that i get burnt out and less excited for the story but if i don’t plot i come across major plot holes, so i’m not really sure what to do 😭💕
maybe you can remove some of the events that are not as necessary, or try to make each event in your plot less dramatic and complicated. (unless that's what the book is about y'know)
Hello I am in 7 grade and I am writing in a book on top of homeschool, art classes, violin practice, and calling friends daily. I only write 1-2 pages a day for about 30 minutes if I have time in my day. I feel like Im not putting enough time into my book. Just wondering if you think that I am not putting enough time into my book?
