Now it seems Prashant Bhushan is correct in his tweets that independent institutions are being taken into control of the central government. It is prescribed in the constitution that a CJI should not take any office under the central or state government after retirement to make sure there is no favouring in any judgement passed by CJI to benefit him after retirement but CJI Ranjan Gogoi is now a member of Rajya sabha before giving ram mandir judgement.
Now altering the tenure and salary of the CIC and IC is also a major step to take that whole institution under the centre, it reminds me the Indira Gandhi's 42nd amendment of the constitution where more focus was to give unlimited power to parliament.
Choose wisely in the next election.

The govt is very efficient in covering up all these since the majority of the individuals are not aware of the constitutional provisions. So cheer up until most of the population are educated about our constitution.

It seems, due to such pressure, CIC...to remain loyal to Govt. would restrict itself while dealing with even justified information to be shared
(as undesired by Govt) and thus allow flooding of appeal to SC, i.e. judiciary..
