Building a 4x8 MFT workbench in two... Wait, make that three parts... Ok... It's gonna be FOUr parts... For more details see: www.garagejournal.com/2019/12...
Solid work man! First video of yours I found was your OG systainer cart, it's been so rad watching this build! Looking forward to part 4 and future videos
That’s amazing that you got one of Rob’s prototypes!!! I love Dashboard. I’m in the process of building my own MFT and all my accessories are from Dashboard.
Any chance you will have a materials list of the 80/20 parts, so i know what to order, this is absolutely the best design I have seen, very nice job. Also I would be happy to pay you for the work you have done.
I look forward to continuing, shoot video more often. It turns out very cool. Tell me where you bought the mounts on the ruler to the table, you can give a link.
I have watched your three videos a few times now. I could absolutely do this all myself but would love to see video four come out as well as plans, which would save me a lot of time. I’ve never worked with 80/20 so a consolidated list of supplies would really assist there, too. I may not go quite as big as this, but I think you nailed so many details here that I keep coming back. Thank you.
Just wondering what the height of the 80/20 on the outside edges were? Looking to build this and your height seems to work really well astetically! Thanks!!
Do you ever find the sprung "drop lock" feature of the faces of the 8020 extrusion (it bevels 2 degrees inward toward the slots to act like a lock washer) to be a problem when you are using it as a fence?
@@thegaragejournal6584 I have always just wondered about the fact that the face isn't flat. On the outside chance that an odd shaped work piece registers against the recessed beveled area instead of the outermost face. I am sure I am overthinking it, and an issue that would only happen once in a blue moon, but there it is.
I just acquired 10 7' 60mmx60mm extrusions and I am about to redo my workbench in a very similar way to yours, but smaller, probably something about 4x3 but I am planning to include my CT SYS and cyclone in it, something I think you should have done (if you have it).
Im not a big fan of the CT Sys actually... I do have a spot in my bench for my CT 26, but not sure if it will live there or not as I like having it around the shop.
@@thegaragejournal6584 I guess I like mine because 1) $ restriction and 2) space restriction (I am envious of your space!). While not as powerful as the others, with the overpriced cyclone systainer, it is super practical. Before thinking about redoing my workbench, original idea what to use the extrusions to build a gantry over my work area and put the ct sys and cyclone there. The power and dust cable would then hang from the ceiling and it would clean up some of my floor clutter.
This is a great bench. Do you like the Right Angle Designs pivot? Would you recommend it now that you've used it for a while? I'm about to pull the trigger, but it would be nice to get some feedback from you first. Really enjoy your videos! Also love you workshop style. Very cool.
This is by far the most insane bench build I’ve seen on CZcams
What an incredible build!!!!!! I am beyond excited for you. Thank you for sharing it.

Fantastic! I plan on using several of your ideas/techniques, very nice job.
your eye for precision and fine details exceed mine... i am inspired.
Best workbench I’ve seen! I will be changing my shop and building this now!
That insert is killer bro! Going to have to add one to mine. Nice work!

Realy nice work there mate !!
WOW sooooo much attention to detail and too pretty to use.
Man you do things RIGHT!
Spectacular!
I really like all the designs shown in the editing, I would love to see a behind the scenes video explaining your editing process!

Nice bench. I hope you can post the info for that attachment when it’s available. Thanks. Keep up the good work

I had a computer crash and that has delayed part 4 a bit... Soon though...
Good Day, marvelous bench are you gonna have plan, list of materials and cut list available and where to buy ?

Thanks!!
Could you possibly tell me how long the 25/50 aluminum extrusion fence is? Thanks... and great work.
Cliff Michelmore lives!!
Great build, thanks for sharing. Would interesting to see if the prototype right angle pivot comes to the market.
Looks like he is selling it on Etsy
mark scheiner thank you for this 👍
Marc Scheiner: could you add a link to that. I’m still searching for it. It’s a killer addition for a killer workbench!

Where did you find used aluminum 80/20?
Very nice job.
Does that pivot self adjust for the thickness of what you are cutting?
It does not... It works very similar to the festool pivot on that end.
Hey do you have plans available for this by chance? For sale or otherwise?
Did plans ever post for this bench? I checked the blog and didn't see anything...

No, it takes far more force to activate that spring that I can add with a workpiece. These extrusion are very, very straight.

It's a pretty simple device made with off the shelf aluminum parts, but it is still world's better than the Festool pivot.
Шикарный стол.
Ha ha. People down-voted this. The human brain is a complex and often malfunctioning device.
