Advantages of being registered as an engineer in Canada
    1) Better job opportunities- Several companies seek an EIT or a PEng.
    2) Better Pay
    3) Access to a network of professional engineers - can be helpful in the job search as references are essential, and further education and guidance
Process of registering as an Engineer
    Who can apply
Anyone who has completed 4 years of full-time bachelor's degree program in applied science, engineering, geoscience, science or technology.
Step 1: create an account and fill up the details (Education/experience)
Step 2: Upload necessary documents (Proof of status/ Transcripts/ Work experience)
    Step 3: Self-evaluation tool
Step 4: Decision is made by EGBC

In this case, you need to take some additional courses to get registered
4:07 Outcome 3: Education and experience are not satisfactory
In this case, you might need to take additional courses as well as different work experience is required in order to get registered

Hi Hari! Thank you for your video. I have 1 question, you mentioned we can submit the WES report, I did my equivalency by WES and I got my equivalency of a bachelor's degree, so it is possible EGBC would accept this document by WES or in your experience they prefer not?

Professional engineers are regulated by province. Thus, the reaction to foreign-educated Bachelor degree may be different by province. Generally, if your program is not CEAB-accredited, an individual assessment on your Bachelor degree will be made. Currently, no master degree programs are CEAB accredited. In Quebec, one must pass a French language test for licensure.
