For me, this fall I'm hoping to read Great Expectations, King of Thorns (book 2 in the Broken empire trilogy), The Acts of King Arthur and his Noble Knights by John Steinbeck....just to name a few! There will be a lot more, but these are ones that I know I will get to.

Tarnish is so beautiful, aah! I agree about reading darker books. The bad weather here in Germany has me in the mood for more paranormal and fantasy type book, which I'm super stoked about! I'm planning on reading the Heroes of Olympus series, because I'm currently reading the fifth Percy Jackson book. Otherwise I don't have anything planned.

I'll be reading Night Film in the next couple of days, because it's due back to the library by the 30th. Can't wait!
I already have all my library reserves ready to pick-up for a Halloween/horror/darker themed October. I'm finally going to read a couple of Stephen King's that I've been too terrified to touch (The Shining and either The Stand or It), Something Wicked This Way Comes by Ray Bradbury, House of Leaves, NOS4A2, Made for You (gotta toss in a YA), Black Light, and I Am Legend. If (big IF) I manage to get all that read, I want to re-read either (or both) Frankenstein and The Picture of Dorian Gray.

An amazing paranormal book is Written in Red by Anne Bishop. I just read it and I couldn't put it down! It has fun moments, scary moments, cute moments ... and the cast of characters is so entertaining! there's not really a romance; it's more of an inkling of a romance but it's still a really great book! I remember it was in one of your book hauls so I would definitely recommend that you check it out if you're in the paranormal mood! Good luck with school this year! :-)

It's spring over in Australia right now, but I'm really keen on reading some fantasy/historical fiction this season. It's partly due to the fact that I'm finishing school soon so I'm going to have more time to read some longer/darker books (usually I read contemporary during school because they are shorter and I can read them quicker). I really want to read the first three books in the Throne of Glass series and I want to finish off the Daugher of Smoke and Bone trilogy too :)

I wanted to read Unwholly by Neal Schusterman too, but this past week and a half was completely crazy in college and I couldn't read more than three chapters from Academ's Fury, so I had to put back the whole task for a while. Gotta love historical fiction. I'm quite the history buff, actually... unfortunately none of my friends are, and very few are avid readers so it's hard when I randomly start speaking about history and they all look at me with "NEEEEERD" written on their faces xP Aaaaaanyway, if you like historical fiction but would like a fantasy twist to it, try anything by Guy Gavriel Kay. He uses historical events, places and even characters and moves them over to his own worlds. I would particularly recommend The Lions of Al-Rassan, as well as Tigana and A Song for Arbonne. What's best about him is that he writes mostly standalone books, which is awesome if you don't have the time, the dedication or simply don't feel like going into yet another endless series or yet another dystopian teen/YA novel.

For very creepy, messed up books I suggest you check out what are called (in my bookstore) international intrigue (mystery) books. Int authors tend not to have some of the boundaries/limitations that American authors may have. In particular I suggest Alex by Pierre Lemaitre. Its a very good, fast read, and your sympathies will change throughout. 5/5 for me.

I just really wanna read a lot more. For the past 2 months (August and September) I didn't complete one single book. I know it's... It's just horrible but hopefully I can get back on track with reading. It is fall break so I'm going to try and power through. There's also the distraction of youtube and internet.
