- We flew to Newcastle, Australia to put the Graco Ultra QuickShot in the hands of @paintingbyjosh ; putting this brand new, revolutionary portable airless spraying through its paces.
We wanted to test what this pump can really handle, who it is for, and just how portable it really is. And without spoiling all the fun... this thing is unreal.
Josh walks through everything that comes in the bag, how to adjust the QuickShot belt, his battery system of choice, and approach to quickly repainting the garage door of this abanonded building in the centre of Newcastle city. That's just how portable this is... rock up, pour paint in, mask up the area, spray and cruise all within half an hour. It changes the game for painters and decorators, mural artists, business owners, content creators and renovators who are looking for the ultimate level of flexibility.
Enjoy the video, we hope you learn if the new Graco Ultra QuickShot is right for you, and hear the thoughts from @paintingbyjosh on where this fits in to his repaint and restoration market in New South Wales.
If you manage to watch until the end, we have a little surprise code that you might like to sweeten the package. Pre-order the new Graco Ultra QuickShot below, which is currently due end of June, 2023 to Australia:

And now to answer some FAQ's for all you deep-researchers out there, we hope this helps!
1) How many litres to a charge? 4L to a charge with the included 18V 2.0AH batteries. If you choose to run the 18/54V FlexVolt batteries, this is yet to be tested.
2) What spray tips are included? The FFLP514 and FFLP210 are standard with the QuickShot - one for wider substrates (walls, ceilings), and the FFLP210 for narrower substrates (window frames, skirting boards, cornice).
3) What is the size of the cup? The Pour-N-Go cup is a 950mL capacity, and is easily refillable.
4) How is this different to the Graco Ultra & Ultra Max Handheld sprayers? This is the next model up in the range - it features a pump unique to the QuickShot, and fixed 1.8M whip hose and handpiece. The cup system is gravity fed, versus vaccum seal; which means it is less common for pressure inconsistencies when spraying.
5) What is the warranty? The warranty is 12 months on the QuickShot and is covered by Graco authorised service and repair agents. GO Industrial covers repairs and warranty nationally in Australia; so hit us up if you have any issues!
6) What is the price? $2,145 inc GST is the RRP provided by Graco Australia. As we mentioned, if you stay to the end of the video... something cool might happen!
7) What is the QuickShot suitable for? If you have smaller projects where convenience is paramount, the QuickShot is for you. It'll handle a range of water-based, oil-based and solvent-based paints. It'll spray materials as thin as lacquers, stains and varnishes, right up to the thickest material being an exterior acrylic. If you're spraying woodwork in a house, 1-2 bedrooms for an insurance repaint, painting furniture or need to hit a section of timber fencing, this is the most convenient unit for you.
8) How good is the finish? Spoiler: so good. With the electronically actuated trigger, this is hardly any spitting. And with the 1.8M hose and gravity-fed cup, paired the FFLP range of tips, pulsation is extremely low, and the finish quality is fantastic. Will it rival a HVLP in terms of overall finish quality? It is still a true airless piston pump, so won't be beating a HVLP for very fine finishing for kitchens and super high-end cabinetry.
9) When does it come out in Australia? We have been advised by Graco Australia that a formal launch date of late June, 2023 is likely. If you pre-order through GO Industrial, you'll be sure to be kept in the loop!

I picked this sprayer up yesterday. I had a demo first. Loved it. Love it even more that I got it home and I’m able to use the materials I normally use. But thanks you for sharing this.
I must admit.. This thing is extremely cool!!! Spraying out a garage door quickly is the perfect application for this thing! After being frustrated with my Graco ultra handheld I can see the clear advancements this unit has made over it. I'm also extremely excited at the 106 and 408 fflp tips. FINALLY!
It’s definitely a step in the right direction, glad you are excited as we are 🙌🏼🫡
Now, when will this game changer be available in Sweden...
Looks like a great unit for exterior work above the 1st story. Standing on a roof, from a basket lift, etc.
100%, makes life so much easier for access work
It’s always good to actually see a skilled tradesman…much love from Texas man. Subbed 👌
Josh, you are an excellent teacher the people who you have trained should be extremely proud to have such a good instructor. Not to mention your clients!
Josh goes above and beyond, an absolute legend! So great to see his methods and just the amount of care he shows for the painting industry and his clients.
What a great video! Keep them coming! You did a great job!
Outstanding work shop in truck sir
Tx for the vid
Using mine for the first time today! Thanks for the fabulous vid!
How did you like it???
Hip pour! Nice!!
Thanks, great video. A video on your process for cleaning and general maintenance with the Graco Ultra QuickShot would be helpful too.
Great video Josh, You sold me!
We'd love to do a video with you in Bris once some more demo units roll in, pretty sure you're local to us hey? Hit me up if you're keen - sales@goind.com.au 💯
Love it ! Great video I have the 360 and it's great for blasting the exterior but that looks like a cordless hvlp to me with the fflp tips I'm definitely going to look into purchasing one. Thanks
Love the Graco products!😍
Us too! 🫶🏼
Best review on youtube, waiting for mine to be delivered in the uk
The funny part about this sprayer is it looks like a Graco pro shot and anyone who's used a pro-shot knows you got a hold of it upside down to get it to run right so instead of fixing the problem Graco embraces it😅
😂work smarter not harder....
I just got mine yesterday haven't used it yet just been watching videos about it😅
100% good video definitely answers a lot of my questions. Thank you so much! 🍻 from New Jersey USA🫡
Enjoy the new unit!
Thanks josh ✌🏽greets from Holland
Nice review mate, should be getting mine a couple weeks, this should be a good solution for me on those smaller iobs.
Greetings from the UK 🍻
See few videos about the QS by far great review im P&D also. And with the bigger battery good thinking. Will buy it now no question about it .Greetings from UK
Thanks for watching! I think you'll love it for the UK; will be a weapon for smaller flats and restoration work. Cheers!
Looks like a perfect job for a Tough Built Belt & Clip
For sure, that insert would fit in nicely with the system!
Крутая штука! 👍
I like the shirt, very cool😊😊
Man, what a fantastic machine, not here in Brazil yet. We have, and the value must be high😮
hi !! well done !! Am phil from FRANCE !!
Thanks for watching from France! 🇫🇷
The specification from the Dulux Weathershield Maxiflex.... Dang! this paint is a burner.
Banging beats
Awesome video man. Ive been a sprayer for 20 years. Industrial and commercial. This seems like a cool little tool. Where did you get the little masking paper tool? Handy bit of kit. Respect from scotland 🏴
That shit is sick man.
Cool video.
Glad you enjoyed it!
My brother just surprised me With one of these. I love mee brother 😃🥰
How exciting! I hope you enjoy it ❤
this might be perfect for what we need, about 4 x a year we paint some furniture we buy for us or for gifting but our 5 gal compressor sucks and a fuji hvlp was going to be our 1st choice, We don't use it enough to get a bigger graco and the fuji hvlp is limiting, but this is nice.
For sure, sounds right up your alley! We used it quite a bit for furniture priming and top coat, also handles stains and lacquers incredibly well. I think you'll be stoked with the investment.
great videos! , question where you get your Bib overall
Good job .I own one also
We hope you like it!
Looks like a good investment.
Definitely is, we're a fan!
Great video. Very informative. New subscriber here. Cheers.
Thanks for watching! 🤝
Nice video. I wanted to buy one for work and they’re not available yet. Apparently your one of the 2 ppl who have it in Oz.
They will be out in the coming months, we'll definitely let you know when they arrive 🫡
Great music and accent.

Thanks for watching!
I looked into this unit and would probably love it. I own some rental properties and paint a house maybe every 5-8 years so this doesn't look cost effective for me. For someone who paints every day, could be a good investment, Great video though.
love the van brother!! yo probably a dumb question but would you shoot 2 part epoxy thru that ? solvent based
I was tempted by one of these but I did some research and spoke to my paint supplier yesterday, he said he has had loads of the battery Graco sprays guns returned with faults. Nice video mate👍🏻
Hey Jason, that's interesting! Here in Australia we've had a very, very minor amount of returns or faults with the QuickShot. Your paint supplier might be referring to the Graco Ultra & Ultra Max handheld series which is in its second generation now, with a lot of faults that have been corrected. I hope that provides some clarity. Here in Aus, we back the units 110%!
@@GOIndustrial thank you for that.👍🏻
@@jason-hh6lu no worries! Any questions or concerns, always feel free to reach out 🤝
Josh, i hope you're well, mate. I've picked up one of these machines myself. I'm looking forward to spraying doors, door frames, and window frames with it, primarily in an acrylic based paint for trim. I'm just curious, have you tried using enamel paint through it? And if so, how did it spray?
Straight gangsta
I’m not even a painter and I want one
hi man,
is this unit also good for spraying the walls?
thank you
I WANT IT
You can have it 😉
Looks useful for some situations but also limited in many others. A $2200 pricetag seems pretty steep. Hopefully they'll cut that in half
You can get them at Sw for 1249 right now. I’ve sold about 4 of them at this price.
@@kourt443 I appreciate that
@@kourt443 What is Sw?
@Christian Parks sherwin williams got one too. 500 discount. Just finished a spraying trim for $1800 so paid itself on a days work so happy with it. Recommend 👌
@@christianparks3370 sherwin Williams, sorry about that!
I had the pro shot and I hate it. I want to try this one
Hi from the UK.. intrigued by this, it'll be interesting to see how the pump holds up after countless complaints about the other handheld pumps... fingers crossed!
We’ve tested this unit a heap now, pushing in excess of 300L across many different jobs. Hasn’t missed a beat!
@@GOIndustrial awesome, that's good to know, I hear some people were barely getting 30L with the other handhelds 👍🏼 I've currently got the GXFF but had been keen for a smaller unit for smaller tasks, quicker clean up etc. This one is pricey at the mo though, hope it comes down a bit after release
@@OZStuOZ don’t hold your breath. You get the odd deal on items that aren’t as popular eg the 110v 390. But even the ultras are still holding their money even though people moan about them. The key with this unit is whether the 2nd gen triax pump can be retro fitted to the ultras. If you want one then buy one. Be an early adopter and get ahead of the game. I’m probably going to spend a few more quid and get the cordless gxff - I like the idea of being able to service and interchange guns etc
@@xxnonstopdancingxx I've just looked, here in the UK the handheld cordless handheld Ultra is £648, this new one estimated at £1,176... A difference of £528! 😳 hell of a jump! Not keen when companies do this, makes them seem greedy in my opinion. They better hold up well if that's the price point! I've got the GXFF, since I bought it, that's jumped up in price, not far off the cordless price now, so yeah I'd go down that route if I was to buy it again 👍🏼
@@OZStuOZ I want a cordless to go with my big pump. It looks like GXFF then. I suspect that the finish will be a bit better than this quick shot and all in all it’s only a few hundred more. Maybe thats what they want me to think 🤔
Glad the graffers could create the opportunity for the video and for you to make some money mate.
Is this like my ultramax where it needs a new pump every 200litres of paint, that’s the main problem with the handhelds, I think the GXFF battery operated machine is the best thing they sell.
Can someone help me out? I'm trying to decide between this and the 390 pc cordless. I've got plenty of small jobs but some large. Good news is I could compartmentalize the large ones if needed. The price difference is only about $300, I like the quickshot for the design and portability. Is there even a comparison though? What's the largest job you could do with each?
I'm surprised your using deluxe, thought they went under
nice review. Hope Josh wears a mask when he's not Youtubing. Interested in the electronic gun. Tired of spits. Might wait for the gun tech to be put on a bigger machine. Not sure about attaching my material to myself.
Do you think it could spray a car and how much are new pumps, cool video dude
Airless tech isn't ideal for spraying automotive finishes. Airless is the fastest and will apply the thickest coat out of the spray technologies, but won't deliver the finish that you'd be used with conventional and HVLP spraying. I'd highly recommend our Graco FinishPro HVLP range if you're still looking for compactness!
Great video! Subscribed. Do you mind leaving a note of all the tools you used? Want to buy these for my contractors. Cheers in advance!
Sure thing! Thanks for subscribing 🫡

@@GOIndustrial Thank you very much mate!
Hello just want ask this machine is spitting paint when start spraying? Also how the finish is ? If comparing with an air pistol how different is? Thanks !
There's no spits due to the electronic trigger, no mechanical moving parts produce similar spits you'd find in the likes of a Contractor gun on a typical airless unit. The finish is fantastic with the combination of very minimal pulsation, paired with the Fine Finish Low Pressure tips. Very different to convenentional, or air-driven handpieces however. Airless is best for architectural coatings and substrates, whereas conventional/air still has its place for automotive, and very high-end finishes due to having a fair volume of air being used to atomise the paint. Airless is purely pressure driven - so it delivers a nice thick coater, super fast, but can sometimes lack that finish quality in comparison to HVLP and conventional paint sprayers.
Overalls are dope! Where can i get em?
Watch this space... we'll let you know soon!
What Graco should I buy for painting kitchen cupboards and uPVC doors and windows ?
The QuickShot would be a great unit for cupboards and uPVC doors/windows. However, if you're striving for the ultimate level of control and best finish quality, I'd highly recommend our Graco FinishPro HVLP range. HVLP in comparison to airless sprayers are a lot slower, and use a high volume of air at a very low pressure (9.5 PSI versus 2000 PSI on the QuickShot) to finely atomise paint. If you're hybrid painting and new to optimise speed/production over the finish quality, the QuickShot is a great unit for this. You can achieve an extremely nice finish with the Fine Finish Low Pressure tips; however HVLP will still outperform the airless finish. It's purely up to preference and your job scope! If you're going through volume cupboards, doors and windows, go with the QuickShot. If you're happy to take your time and get the maximum results - go with the Graco FinishPro HVLP (9.5 ProContractor is my personal recommendation).
Would this work for pavement markings? Doing handicaps and other stencils? It’s a pain swapping colors in the big striping machines
We will be putting together a video soon on stenciling for line marking! At this stage, with water-based road marking coatings, we're confident the Ultra QuickShot will be suitable. The Ultra Max Handheld has typically worked in the past for these applications, and given the performance of the QuickShot, we have confidence it'll do the trick!
Can you paint whole house?
They need to correct instead for a 1/2 gallon container and a fix dial.
How long it last before I can throw it away? Can you replace parts that ware out
pump exchange and price are my biggest question right now too
How heavy is it do you feel it when it’s on you’re waist?
It's well balanced and surprisingly comfortable - if you're spraying for any longer periods of time, we'd look at upgrading to a leather builders belt.
Where Dod You Get The Pants
Can you use it for outside paint synthetic?
As long as it is not thicker than a typical exterior latex or acrylic, you should be sweet!
Are you in England? I live in Minnesota,USA .
can this be used with wood sealers?
Absolutely can! It’ll spray sealers, stains and lacquers really well. Water-based, oil-based and solvent-based materials with no issues
hey do you think I could use this for acrylic paints?
Absolutely! It'll handle a wide range of water-based and oil-based acrylic paints.
Straight in the sprayer no filtering it first?
Does this work with oil based paints
Sure does! And solvent based paints also.
It’s not necessary to prime this machine. Also, you have to hand tighten the guard just right to line up the tip or it leaks paint.
super, but super expensive :o
does makita have something like this in their lineup?
Graco has chosen to partner with DeWalt for their lineup of battery powered airless sprayers - I don't see any alternative power tool brands manufacturing an airless sprayer of this capability in the near future!
How can I get one of those shirts you’re wearing?
Send us an email to sales@goind.com.au, let's see what we can do!
Looks great but is as expensive as h... in Sweden.
Ah ! Questo e’ l’imbianchino che dipinge e abbellisce case o quello che di notte si crea il lavoro per il futuro ?🤔🤔
More spiders when it rains?? That’s what I’ve heard
So you masked and painted the door and left the above flashing? Hmm
Abandoned building man, quick refresh and out of there; not a normal job in the lineup.
Nice but too damn expensive. Wish I painted more. Feel like I'd have to become a painter just the justify buy this.
Just wait until you get into "commercial" sprayers. My Graco Mark V costs $10,000 now.
@Joshua Wiedenbeck we have the graco magnum and the 360 hand held but this one looks to damn nice
one excellent US export obliterating a not so excellent one.
If they use the old pump like Graco ultra max in this device, this will be a problem 😢
Because you can paint 🎨 maximum1000 meters, then the pump will not work correctly and you must buy the new one.
I change 4 pump in my ultramax already😢 and all the people who work with ultramax ,they said that it's very bad device because of the pump. The price 2k$ and the old pump is too expensive I think.
The sprayer is so God damn loud, I was shocked how noisy it is, good tool to have in the bag but your going to wake the dead, kinda sounds like the 1st battery operated super soaker's from the 90's
Now if only they thought to make a bigger hopper or even one you wear as a backpack...................................................................... then they might have actually made something useful.
I need 1 big dog been painting for 18 years
This will help you pain for another 18 years with ease! Good on you man 🫡
Bravo. Nice work and explanation… perhaps a mask to protect your lungs would be better for you
add the Graco one foot nozzle extension, thank me later.
Does it need a particular extension or do they all fit?
@@lestalkmorebasss Graco sells the extension, trust me,it will save your back and reach distance. Peace and have an awesome prosper business, take care.

Nope! Going as strong as ever 🤝
@@GOIndustrial how many ltrs would you say you've put through it..
Great video but this music is absolutely horrendous
So cool but extremely over priced
Why would you pay 2k for this when you could buy a graco 395 for $1,200.
Different applications call for different gear - the 395PC holds its own pros and cons. Portability and convenience is everything. 395PC's still retail for over $4K in Australia!

WAY TOO MUCH, MONEY !
It better be built like a tank for the money. These are commercial painter priced.
@@theunkownmr.562 the build quality is very solid - they are definitely built for purpose and are the only thing like it on the market. Price that convenience, finish quality and flexibility into your job, you'll have this paid off in no time.

BOOOO show the clean up and maintenance of it!!!
That's our video coming soon 😉
I wouldn't use it personally. You spray less than half of a small garage door and then have to refill.... that's useless.
How’s that useless. The machine is for touch ups. Small jobs. Quick set up But it can also take on bigger jobs. Refill is quick.
@@martbrown3406 The refill part is what makes it useless. You're 10x better off buying a legit electric airless for like 2k. It pretty much pays for itself on the first job you do if you price it right. unscrewing and refilling is messy and unnecessary. Just spend the money on something good.
@@PurityPainting totally disagree. I have one and it’s perfect I also have the graco 390pc cordless All have their purpose
@martbrown3406 what about cleaning it. Don't you find that it's way easier to clean a regular airless
