- IFMD stands for the Ivan Flett Memorial Dancers, a dance trio from Winnipeg, MB. This Indigenous sibling team specialize in a unique fusion of Hip-Hop and the Metis Red River jig! The trio learned the Metis Red River Jig from family members and have been performing together since 2010.

Bro I finally found it!! I got to see Mikey Harris come to our school for our cooking class, he told us all about the Jig and even did a small jig in our dance room, he is very inspiring its great to see this !!
this rlly brought me to tears and reminded me of my late great grandmother, the whole family used to go to her house and she'd play jigging music like this (or shed use her voice to sing) and the little kids, all the way to the adults would have a jigging competition and even tho there was no prize, it was so fun to just dance and connect with family

I was kind of insulted on behalf of the dancers when the camera kept jumping from them to the judges and audience, as if the camera people thought the dancers were boring and the others more worthy of looks. That was weird.

I really hope that the producers of this show are reading this comment because it's honest feedback that I'm sure I share with plenty of others.
When someone is singing, we can still hear them as you show shots of the judges and crowd. It doesn't interrupt the performance. BUT
When someone is performing a visual act, like dancing, then keep the camera on them at all times because we want to see it, not reactions to it. Please!

I saw them in my school they performed in my school!
Love it!!! I wish they wouldn’t have cut the cameras away from the dancing as much. I get wanting to get reactions, but with vocalists it works because you can still HEAR the performance when the camera is away, but I feel like the constant switching of angles especially not focusing on the talent was so distracting and took away from all the hard work these amazing talented dancers put in

What's so boring about it if you don't mind me asking? I think it's fun, I was a teacher at a remote Northern Community in Ontario, the community I worked at for a few years they had different types of dances every weekend, one being "rap/club dance" which I found boring, another was "rock n roll dance" which never interested me at all, and lastly they had the jigging dance contest which I fell in love with right away because of the atmosphere and energy it brought to the whole community members. I saw everyone happy and laughing while they were jigging, and I participated regularly and won a few contests myself. Ohyes I can't forget about about their social nights where they have powwow dances to, amazing and beautiful culture 😍.

It's not a "rip off" as you suggest. Simon Cowell owns and created it. You know what else he was responsible for? Every other Got Talent show across the globe. Yes the talent is going to be lackluster compared to the USA but that doesn't make it a rip off.
