      @mikethompson5935 Před 2 lety +19

      That’s the gist, but the “questions” are statements like “This man has a large forehead and three dogs.” Then the answer is given as a question. “Who is Jacksfilms?” Then they get the money amount from the tile they chose from the board.

    • @thetideishighandsoami3928
      @thetideishighandsoami3928 Před 2 lety +3

      Okay so as you saw in the thumbnail, there’s a chart with categories on top and numbers bellow, you get to chose the category and you chose the amount of points you can win 100 being the least and therefore having the simplest clues and 500 being the most and therefore having the harder clues, if you get them right, you get the points. For example, let’s say the category is Latin sayings and you chose 300 points, the speaker will tell you the clues and you will answer it with a question. If you get it right, congrats, you get the 300 points, if you get it wrong, the other contestants get to answer. I believe it works this way, however, I am latina and this show has seldom been broadcasted in my country.

The idea is that you work your way up through the questions until you become a millionaire (although most people either lose or cut their losses and take their money). If you get a question wrong before you hit a checkpoint, you lose and leave with nothing. If you pass one of the checkpoints, even if you lose and get a question wrong, you’re guaranteed to still take that amount home. The tension comes at higher value questions, where do you risk being wrong and falling back to your last “saved” point? Or do you give up and take your money? What if you had the right answer and could have won even more money, but you quit? Lmao you probably don’t even wanna read this and I probably worded it very badly but there you go. #YIAYDream Every night I dream of George Clooney whispering sweet nothings into my ear in the UwU voice, the line between what is a nightmare and what is reality has become blurred.

    I am riding in a horse-drawn wagon, and my dad gets off the wagon holding a ladder. He climbed down the cliff, but comes right back up again, jumps on the wagon and drives off. A bull climbs up the ladder, tucks it under his arm and starts chasing us. Woke up before he caught us.

    (Seriously though why are American game shows so behind. Jeopardy looks like it’s still in the 90s)

      No one can make this comment if they have see "Countdown". If it advanced it's look by 20 years it would begin to look like it might be ready *for* the 90s.

      That's half of them, the other half are over the top and full of sob stories. Any show outside of scripted dramas/sitcoms is so bad.

      That's cause jeopardy is a super old game show. It pretty much is still on the 90s. They never updated the look
