  • Backpain, loading, and unloading gear were taking the fun out of my kayak fishing. So I had to take the misery out of taking the Hobie in and out of the truck. Now I can launch with ease, quicker than a boat. Traveling, and parking are not a problem anymore. Necessity is the mother of invention.

Here in Louisiana, I don't deal with massive tides as you do! That must really be a challenge for timing launch and retrieval.

Two herniated discs. Your set up took some work and cash, but is worth every penny! Do you see any problem yanking the kayak with just the front handle?

Well yep I made the whole thing myself, but paying someone to do it would be expensive and more than likely not made the way I would want too. Nope the front handle are pretty strong and was a concern but keeping the front 2 hex tight is a must, but I have no issues .cheers

@@patrickmurphy5091 Thanks for the reply and advice on the handle! I like rigging, almost as much as fishing, and you did a great job of getting things right. Well done!

Love your video, love your setup. I went on line and can't find those T-pins you are using. They look to be about 5" long? How have they been holding up with rust? Can you tell me where you purchased them from?

Thank you Sir, nothing is cheap, especially when it is of better quality. I saw NJ in one of your subject lines, I used to be from PA, but don't hold it against me :) I moved to Maine back in 2019 and now get to fish the Casco Bay and love every minute of it. And thanks again for your quick response. Spring is right around the corner.

All that money you spend for a winch and at lumen and them straps you should just went out and bought a ski doodle trailer and put it behind your truck

LOL I have a trailer, only problem is some kayak launches wont allow trailers and some remote areas I fish there is just about room to get the truck in.
