This was so helpful! I was running into problems as well and this helped solve the mystery. Thank you!!!!
Nailed it dude!! Thank you for the video! I thought maybe I was going crazy🤦🏽♂️
Thanks for this.
I was told to use the locking thingy right at the very edge of the vinyl (or on the cutting mat) that seems to hold that edge flatter and prevents the vinyl catching.
It's interesting as it looks like yo. Are using HTV. But when we use regular vinyl it's rolled shiny side out still so you have to put the roll on the' roller the other way so the vinyl rolls over the top. The pain with this is when you want to feed the vinyl backwards it won't roll back up and the roller seems to pull forward (closer to the cameo)
dude you are amazing, this fixed my problem!
I came here looking for how to move the roller. HA! I felt so dumb when you showed how ez it was.
Thanks I am brand new to cutting machines, i was so frustrated with it think your suggestions will help.
Hi Allen and welcome back!
Thank you Charlotte. Glad to be back.
Thank you. I bought the roller and didn't use it for a while so I forgot how to set it up.
I noticed you need to put the last roller on the edge of the vinyl for it to roll and not fold backwards. It’s a problem I had
Glad you are back how are you doing? God bless you
Im glad to be back. I am doing fantastic. Ready to make a bunch of videos and go outside. lol God bless you too. Thank you. We need those blessings Amanda.
Sooo helpful,
I have a question do I have to adjust the settings on the design page ?
Helpful video. I just bought cameo 4 and I want to order a roll with HTV on it. What would you say is max length of vinyl on the roll that can be fitted onto roll feeder?
Bro thanks for help us. I have one machine like that, but I d like know if is possible cut roll of the label. You know if it is possible? I d like printer many labels, for example "thank you" and after that I d like cut around it....
A-Dubb! Do you know what the max length of rolls you can use? Or at least, What length of vinyl rolls do you buy or recommend that fit in the holder, and feed well?
Cool tips.
Thank you.
I know this iis an old video but your roller on the right is supposed to to over more to the right
Thanks for watching.
Nice work
Levite Apparel thank you.
Thank you for taking your time to explain this. Can this work on larger cuts like 60 inch ? How will the roller work going back and forth on the larger cuts ? Any tips
No problem here is a video I made on that. czcams.com/video/zH81MK1RYPs/video.htmlsi=U4wBMthrHQfuMLBW
how do you stop the roll feeder from moving around when the machine is operating? it completely messed up the cut, trying to figure out why it keeps moving
I just got a 4 12in.. the roller doesn't work great with 150 yard roll on a 4in tube. OD is too large for the angle so I have to load, then roll off slack for the length I need to prevent the drag pulling off. Then backing up binds in the guide plate.
Hey people, is there a way to dictate the cut path of the cameo 4? As in telling it which parts of the image to cut first...I have had success with the roller, however it seems the software sometimes does the top of the page, shoots down to the middle and then back to the top etc...This obviously disrupts the roll as its not the most secure fixture as it is.
Your last adjustable roller is in the wrong place it should be on the second slot from the right so that it just rides on the edge of the right side of the vinyl. In turn holding the right side down and not allowing it to curve up ward.
If he puts it there it wont sit on the vinyl. the vinyl doesnt look wide enough for it to be over there.
also if his machine is like mine, the locking rollers don't actually stay locked and it noves. i am trying to find out how to fix it because it has ruined soooo much of my vinyl!
Help! Having issues cutting my vinyl and also the mat is switching all over while it's trying to cut 😕
I tried using the vinyl roller a couple of times and gave up. My main issue was that the same settings that I used for vinyl when it's on the mat is not the same settings that you would use when it's on the vinyl roller... at least i don't think it's the same. It cut different and i tried playing around with the settings but it didn't cut the way it does with the mat. One day I will play around with it some more because I would much rather use the roller vs. using the mat. Any tips on the settings to use when using the roller?
I did notice that when I got my cameo 4. Try changing the blade if you've had it for a while or what I did was just change the pressure in intervals of one. Everyone's experience is not gonna be the same cause some people cut alot and some people dont cut as much. Unfortunately there is no universal fix.
@@adubbproductions Thanks. I'll play around with it until I get it right.
i supply vinyl to my client. it hits me hard that i ship my vinyl wrong. thank you! will make sure to roll it correctly
I just received a shipment from Heat Transfer Warehouse and my rolls are rolled correctly. The small rolls you can buy in stores are all definitely backwards. This is a HUGE help!!!
I'm new to Cameo, coming from using a cricut. my question is. when on roller, does it cut it upside down?
I don't think so. However either direction is still cutting the image. If it mattered in your project you can simply turn it upside down in Sihouette Studio before sending it to cut.
When i try loading my MATT into the cameo ,i press the up arrow the one thats next to the bluetooth ,The (up )button just blinks but doesnt feed the matt, it doesnt show those 4 arrows either is there something im doing wrong?
Yesss!!! Exactly what you're saying is what I experienced. I use the oracle vinyl that comes with the cameo 4. But when I cut it's just marks up the vinyl in a ugly way . No sign of the image being shown.
My vinyl shifting left right when cutting. The roller not that good? And i cannot fix the roll feeder.
Is your lever on the right side that is connected to the roller up or down? It has to be up for the roller to be down. Kinda backwards.
How do you cut the roll after the cameo finishes cutting and know you made a straight cut for the next job ?
The back of the cameo has a cutter that cuts straight accross. Feed the roll in up to your design and cut it straight across.
Shouts A.Dubb bro
🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
Nothing is working for me. Mine won't register. I'm subscribed under another account and I watched a few of your videos.
How do you get the vinyl to come out the back so you can use the back cutter and not have the vinyl cycle back to the front? Thanks in advance!
I'm having this exact issue! Were you able to figure it out?
@@Hellorachiee92 YES! Finally - hit the gear next to send - feed options: feed - for my 18" paper, I selected 20". It still didn't spit the whole page out - so then when the 4 direction arrows are lit up, hold down the down arrow! (not the feed arrow)
@@clairepulignano Oh wow! So the Feed setting should be slightly larger than the length of your cut file size?! I've had it set at 1" because I DON'T want it to feed far. Before I even cut, it's been spitting out nearly the entire roll out the back then cuts WAY down the roll.
Thank you
Your welcome? Thanks for watching?
@@adubbproductions I went to your amazon link to buy vinyl, but the link took me to something i did not want to buy, I wanted something else. If I click your link and go to another type of vinyl, will it count for you? Does this make any sense? LOL
@@adubbproductions - PS- I love my Hix 16 x20
Isn't the vinyl the wrong side...don't you feel the right side up?
It looks upside down how it loaded it
So this may be a little off topic but I’m wondering if you can help me with my Cameo 4. It won’t load any media 🥲!! I can try the arrow buttons in the software, the machine doesn’t move. I can test but it doesn’t grab it correctly. At a loss here!!
Sure. I can help solve that issue. Does it make any sound when you press the arrow button on the cameo? You can schedule a consultation at adubbproductions.com
@@adubbproductions only press the feed and release buttons are lit up but do nothing. Thank you, what’s the cost for a consultation, I know your time is worth it.
@@angiesartkraftykreations3677 if you are pressing the buttons and nothing is happening then your machine might be broken. Something should happen when you press the up arrow. Did you purchase your machine new?
@@adubbproductions yes I did, from Michael’s. I don’t recall if I purchased the protection plan. I’ve had it a year and a half. I just purchased a new one with a year protection plan. Thank you for your help. Have a wonderful day
Hello Mr Wade I’ve been watching your videos and I see you having trouble with the vinyl. I would like to make a suggestion it might help. Why don’t you try to roll the vinyl in the other direction it might help to keep the vinyl down
That is a great suggestion. I considered it I have tons of vinyl, It would take forever then id have to wait for the vinyl to curve the other direction for days. Another subscriber suggested Getting larger rolls. I think thats the route I am going to go from now on. The larger the roll the less the curve when you unwrap the vinyl. lol The little things. lol
funny cos i just done that to our vinyl rolls
Was my exact questions.
this is htv right? any tips for sticker vinyl? do we still load the same side down and invert the image then?
No it’s a little different. It’s basically a car decal. Here is a video on how to make car decals/stickers. czcams.com/video/UHg3-e3fQoQ/video.html
Here is another. czcams.com/video/wzPSiZMkv5E/video.html
And another. All the same method but different from shirt vinyl. czcams.com/video/pI08W2-RhkY/video.html
My printer does not accept the roll. It was perfectly aligned and the everything gets all bent and then it spits it forward and cuts nothing.
Why did you not move the wheel over more on the right to hold the vinyl down?
Because it didn’t matter. It still holds the vinyl down and cuts fine like I had it. Sometimes I put it on the edges and sometimes I don’t. I guess it depends on how big the design is I’m cutting.
Is this HTV or decal vynl?
It’s the vinyl for clothes.
I cant load my vinyl.. the Load button keep blinking.. huhuu.. what should I do?
Contact Silhouette America and see what they recommend. I have never had that issue.
Need help making some Business labels with my logo
You have to buy from a different supplier... Or buy actual 5yd rolls... My vinyl never comes like that
Im going to have to try that. I guess a five yard roll is larger so It cant roll up as tight. Who do you order from?
@@adubbproductions I order from HeatPressNation... Siser 10in x 5yd usually I grab the 15in x 5yd.... Also use your mat lol
Why are you cutting on the bottom of the vinyl? Is that htv? I always cut my vinyl shiny side up. Am I doing it wrong?
The shiny side is the carrier sheet that the vinyl is supposed to stay on after you weed out the other pieces of the design. I'm not sure how shiny side up is working for you unless you are pressing your designs in pieces.
@@adubbproductions I think me and the guy below are thinking the same thing. To me regular vinyl is not for clothes. heat transfer vinyl is what i press and thats what i cut shiny side down.
@@adubbproductions um no. thats what transfer tape is for.
@@herewegrow5113 why would you add transfer tape when you can just mirror the image and avoid buying transfer tape? It’s an added and unnecessary step. Your giving yourself more work.
You are cutting the carrier sheet to use transfer tape which is essentially just another carrier sheet. It’s a waste.
Vinyl load glossy side up. Make image mirrored. Solved
Naw bro Regular Vinyl is definitely shiny side down. Occasionally a generic brand is backwards and is shiny side up but it’s almost always shiny side down. The reason is the shiny side in most cases is the clear sheet that you use to press onto the shirt. The dull side is the side that lays on the shirt.
@@adubbproductions Regular vinyl ( not for shirts) is shiny side up. Heat transfer vinyl is shiny side down.
@@herewegrow5113 lol. Regular vinyl to me is for shirts. Shiny side down. Decal vinyl (oracal 651) is paper side down not mirrored. Not regular for me or my channel or this video because I’m a garment decorator.
@@adubbproductions ahh gotchya thats why me and a few others are confused. Thank you for the clarification. Have a wonderful day
How is this video helpful when he is loading the vinyl upside down
I think he is loading HTV
