    I love and appreciate your videos, too, like so many others. Although I’m three years after you posted this video, today, I’m going to cut without a mat for the very first time. And yes, I’m sort of new to Cameo 4, but I’m loving it. I’ve had it less than a year, and I let it set unused for several months until I finally got the nerve to use it. I love it!
    Thanks so much!!! 🌹🌹🌹

    Hi Becky, thank you for this straight-to-the-point video! I've had my Cameo 4 for over a year now and I had completely forgotten to use it without the mat. I'm thinking being new I had not mastered inserting the vinyl properly and just resorted to going with the mat, and never went back. I love how you showed going matless without using the vinyl holder, I am definitely going to try that again, this method looks so much easier.

    Just cut out a large 1'x3' sign using your directions. It wasn't easy getting the vinyl lined up in the machine correctly, but I got it. You have to make sure that you're end that you're feeding into the machine is straight and at a 90 degree angle to the sides of the material. If it is, then it will stay straight when you cut it. But I love your tip to run the vinyl through before you cut it. I would have ruined a lot of vinyl without that tip. Thanks!

    • @DesignBundles

      Yes! Absolutely! On the Cameo 1, you will just use "Load Media" instead of "Load Mat" on your actual machine. But the blade number is the actual depth of your blade that is adjusted on the blade itself. If you have an autoblade, the machine will do this for you. • @DesignBundles
      @DesignBundles Před 3 lety +1

      Hey Karla! I would personally start by increasing the force a little at a time, cutting small designs so you don't waste a lot of material. You can adjust the blade, but it is a bigger "jump" so to speak, and can cut through your material. Hope this helps! ---Becky

    Hi. Is it okay to cut vinyl without registration marks?

  • @theguythattalksshitonyoutube

    So can you cut 12x12 HTV sheets without a mat.. or do you suggest using a mat?

    • @DesignBundles
      @DesignBundles Před 3 lety +1

      You sure can, it's fantastic! Just make sure you remember the small amount of material you lose at the end. Hope this helps! ---Becky

    Do you prefer the Cameo or Cricut best?

    • @DesignBundles
      @DesignBundles Před 3 lety +1

      That's a very complicated question LOL. I do think I'm partial to Silhouette Studio, I think the software is very robust and more functional than Cricut Design Space. However, once I purchased a Cricut, I actually think it has better cutting results, but only by a smidge. I usually recommend potential buyers to download the software for each and see which one feels more natural. Hope this helps! ---Becky

    I have the Cameo 4 Pro and I have wasted so much material because my mat continue slip and my vinyl folds under the roller...😩😩😩 It’s so frustrating. Help!!

    • @DesignBundles
      @DesignBundles Před 3 lety

      Hey Erica! I'm sorry to hear about your trouble cutting. Have you checked to see how tight your roller is locking down. When the bar is locked, you shouldn't be able to move your mat at all. If it's lose or is coming lose during cutting, I would contact Silhouette America's customer support for a warranty claim. Hope this helps! ---Becky

    I did everything 100% exactly how you said and my blade doesn’t cut. You can barley see a small indent but it never cuts the whole way. I know it’s not a defect because this is the second Cameo 4 I got. What am I doing wrong?

    • @DesignBundles
      @DesignBundles Před 3 lety

      Hey Paulette! I'm sorry to hear about your troubles. Definitely check your roller bar (make sure it's locked) and your roller (make sure it's not coming out of place). The Cameo 3 models had a batch or design flaw where the rollers would come out of the slots when the machine was in use, so many crafters glued or taped the roller in place. Hope this helps! ---Becky
