I had to pause the video midway to post this comment due to a combination of an overwhelming sense of gratitude as a bird lover and happiness as a subscriber of this channel.
Your aviary and bird/flight cages are beautiful. Your birds are in top condition. Their breeding progress across species is simply astounding.
I can't believe you managed to breed the Red Avadavats! I, despite being from India, have never succeeded. But then, I never had the kind of skills and expertise you do, or even the time or patience to pursue your passions as assiduously as you do.
May God bless you and your pets and continue to provide you with newer ideas to innovate, improvise, and improve upon your already terrific skills. Bravo!

What was your total of youngsters bred in2021 I am amazed with your breeding of green twinspots welldone , breeders like you keep these species in aviculture.

I hatched 52 and raised all but 1 to adulthood. Well, the parents raised them to independence, and I got them the rest of the way. Credit where credit is due! To be honest, credit also goes to people who want to learn about the species, value the opportunity to care for them and will give them a good home- without that support, no breeder, including me, can afford to invest in keeping enough breeding pairs going to keep a genetically diverse and healthy pool- it is a group effort for sure!

@@Echosaviary I agree unfortunately here in the UK the pool of breeders seems to get smaller year on year & since Brexit it's alot harder to get new blood in from European breeders. To keep any species thriving you need that genetic pool.still welldone and long may it continue. 🤞

You really know how to take good care of your birds. They are all looking so healthy and happy. Can I ask you one question please? I just treated by Gouldian Finches with medication to get rid of air sac mites, but it seems to have had some adverse effect on one of them. Since the treatment 2 weeks ago he is acting super uncomfortable, constantly itching, scratching and biting at himself and looks very distressed. I feel really bad for him. He is breathing heavily too and kind of standing tall and holding his feathers extra tight to his body. Do you know if this can be a side effect of medication? I am so worried it is neurological problems and won't wear off, regret treating them now. The other 3 are fine. Thank you.

I am so sorry but you asked about two things I have no experience with, mites and gouldians. There are specialty gouldian groups on facebook who I bet can answer. Include a short video of what you are seeing so people can visualize it. If this was not preventative and the birds actually had mites, It makes me wonder if this bird had a bad case and now his system is flooded with dead mites that he has to try to expel?
