This song was also played in "A Quiet Place", you reacted on your other channel. The scene where the parents dance together and share the earbuds. One of the most heartwarming scenes I've ever seen in a horror film.
Hello I’m very happy to find your page. Really enjoy watching you and your reactions to the music. Thank you I’m David
Cinnamon girl...... a song about a girl with redish/brown hair.. good rock tune by Neil.
just the best
Great song! 'Cinnamon Girl' is another good song from his catalog.
Bisscute should definitely react to this song.
These are Northern California Vibes.....they are the best on a Harvest Moon....looking at the moon thru the vineyards being showered by the moonlight on a warm summer night....
The vibe I got from this song is "nostalgia" - He sings I want to see you dance again on this harvest moon...implying the many years that have passed since they became lovers - when they were young. "Harvest" is a poetic reference to later years - here we are all these years together and I'm still in love with you...I want to see you dance again (like we did when we were young lovers). There is something quite special and different about "being in love" with one another after many years gone by and simply feeling "love" for someone. Loving and "Being in Love" are similar but not quite the same.
My Wife had alzheimers disease - she died a little more than 3 years ago. I was "in love with her" the whole time she was living and I still feel a deep abiding love for her after she has gone to the other side. When I finally had to place my wife into a memory care facility I bought a guitar and I worked hard at learning a number of songs that I knew she loved. Harvest Moon was one of those songs. I am not a particularly good guitar player nor singer but my playing and singing for my wife at the home was well received by her and a number of other residents there.
I feel a deep and personal affinity for this song and video. Thank you for doing your reaction to it. I haven't touched my guitar since my wife died. But after watching this video I feel like playing it again - maybe. It might still be just a bit too emotional for me...but I'm going to give it a try.
Neil is one of the best songwriters out there..his range of music is epic..."Rocking in the Free World" think there is a live performance with Pearl Jam floating around where Neil "surprised" Pearl Jam got on stage with them and showed them hows its done, son...lol man is a legend
she definitely needs to check out pearl jam and neil doing rockin in the free world, such a change of pace from this, such pure rock and roll
Great song for Thanksgiving!
Just a simple old fashioned love song.
Lovely😊
1992 brings back all the romance in my 30's, it was a different world...❤
I was mid-30s in 1992, a Brit 'romancing' in Vail Co. Driving around in her Jeep Wrangler with this playing is a burnt-in memory.
Thanks so much, Bisscute! This is one of my favorites by Neil... it's romantic... and shows some "throw-back" to when he met his future wife.. they are young here.. and he is older while playing... appreciate your reaction!
Perhaps the greatest love song ever written ❤
♥
What a wonderful love song! It is Autumn! 😎❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
❤❤❤
Linda Ronstadt on backing vocals made it so Sweet.
Neil Young is The MAN. Even though he is a native born Canadian, he is a great American. "Harvest Moon" is one of his better love songs, and he has a few. But he has a very wide and deep catalog, with a great variety of topics. Some more goodies from Neil: "Cinnamon Girl", "Powderfinger", "Sugar Mountain", "Cortez The Killer", "After The Gold Rush", "Rockin' In The Free World", "Tonight's The Night", "Sedan Delivery", "Needle And The Damage Done" and "My My Hey Hey (Out Of the Blue) or Hey Hey My My (Into The Black)". Enjoy these Bisscute, I have, and I enjoy your reactions very much.
"Like a Hurricane"
Recommend: Happy you like the song. It is basically about eternal love. I believe the song came out in 1992. His wife of 36 years was in the video, Pegi. Neil divorced Pegi in 2014, and is now married to actress Daryl Hannah. Pegi died in 2019. Neil and Pegi could often be seen in the bay area as they had a ranch in Woodside near Half Moon Bay. The song I recommend is Heart of Gold live 50th anniversary edition. Official video. 😊😊❤❤
The broom elevates the song. Ben Keith was usually the guy who did it when they played it live.
Our Canadian hero :) When we had house party we would play this type music back in the day. No IPhones, nothing digital just record or tapes good food and responsible drinking. Nothing like today. Loved your reaction Bisscute !!!
This is my third time watching this with you love it❤😊
awww thank you
Singer Songwriters are creative geniuses
Helpless is nice.
When he wants to play that guitar he can really play it.
In 2022 I met a French guy who taught me "harvest Moon", I taught him "Sonnet" by The Verve. I have good memories with both songs.
not too much better than listening to Neil Young..........................pure brilliance
His album Harvest is my favorite, every song on that album is great. I love the song "A Man Needs A Maid".
You should react to CSNY. It stands for the group, Crosby,Stills,Nash and Young. Neil Young was a member of this band. His best song was "Ohio" after deaths in Kent State
Down by the river
I think Cowgirl in the Sand shows his insane ability on electric guitar while still capturing his gentle sweetness in his vocal...luv ya Biss
Thank you for your reaction!!! I've always said Neil writes emotional songs...So if you're happy and want to mellow your mood..he has a song...same for sad and want to get happy.... My suggestion for your next reaction to a Neil tune.... Since you like players and crowd interacting with each other... Neil Young and Crazy Horse Cinnamon Girl live from 1991....the song was roughly 22 years old at the time...To see the women sing and dance to this song is awesome!!!
+1 for 'Cinnamon Girl' Live 1991! 😀👍
You are so correct. This song takes you back to simpler times. It was so wonderful to be young and be in love with that special someone.
One of the more beautiful songs out there.
His song Old Man from this same live performance is a must.
Good old Canadian man ..heart of gold
A friend of mine was close personal friends with the Young’s. Neil is dancing with his former wife from the time the video was created.
Oh nice
Near my pool outside sunny day sunbathing this song is just the perfect for I’ve listen to that song for decades now never ever get tire of it when I want to have feel good moment always listen to that song it calm’s you ❤
This is how we get out and two step. I miss heidi❤❤ RR. Accent great. I sang this to her many times
One of my all time favorite songs!
A Legend in Music History. 😊
Hidden gem of his: Philadelphia
he is such an icon!
Neil Young is called the Godfather of grunge. He really can rock out too. Try Cinnamon Girl, Rockin' in the Free World, for example
One of the most beautiful songs of all time, it’s like a comforting hug when you need one the most x
Such beautiful simplicity.
Beautiful song.
"Helpless" is one of Young's more beautiful songs. Melancholy, but beautiful. Well understood by Central and Eastern European culture.
In younger days he worked part-time with CSN ( Crosby, Stills, and Nash ) and wrote "Ohio" ( AKA "Four Dead in Ohio" ) about the horror of student protesters being gunned down at Kent State.
If you like Neil Young you should check out Crosby, Stills, and Nash. Neil often sung with them. I could probably list about 40-50 great songs. Lets see a short starter list. Some of Neils most famous songs, After the gold rush, cinnamon girl, heart of gold, comes a time, helpless, like a hurricane. Then there is the CSN stuff, sweet judy blue eyes, carry on, southern cross, wooden ships, helplessly hoping, ohio, our house, teach your children and woodstock. Then there is all the stuff he did with crazy horse.
Neil has been around for a while and has a long list of great songs. It's hard to know where to start. Back in the 1980s I was in high school and a metal head. Then I started going out with a hippy girl in my class. She introduced me to lot of really good music. Great memories.
This song was my parents song for their first dance when they got married. I’ve been listening to this song my whole life. Still so good.
thats so sweet
Nice reaction, Beautiful Biss
TRUST ME on this one my music lovin' sister,, Neil Young "Only Love Can Break Your Heart"
Ill write it down, thanks
I really like your accent.😊😊😊 Thank you for this song I love it.
This is one were I felt you needed a dance partner and slow danced the song away while you listened to it and just felt the flow from it.
Great nap time song. Hmmm, where's my blanky? 😇💤
Biss excellent choice. Classic song. ❤
A couple of ways you can pivot from here...Neil Young and Crazy Horse is Rock & Roll and for this segment of his work he is known as the God Father of Grunge! Cowgirl in the Sand and Cinnamon Girl are a couple of notable songs.
Crosby Stills Nash & Young (CSNY) is another rabbit hole all together. Country Girl, Deja Vu, Helpless, Carry on, and many more!
Very beautiful song. One of the first ones i learned how to play in the guitar.
Neil Young is a brilliant Songwriter. I've seen him several times live here in Canada 🇨🇦 😎
without a video you can't see that the brrrrroom is marrrrrking the tempo
"Out Of The Blue (And Into The Black") the electric version. You should see him rock a little."Powder Finger" is another great song too.
Love "Powderfinger". The imagery his lyrics evoke are so clear to me. Studio version of "Hurricane" is another of my favourites, the guitar playing is amazing.
My old boss told me that when he went to college, they had long debates/discussions about what era "Powderfinger" song takes place in, lol. Neil doesn't get enough credit for his electric guitar ability. @@lookingatsunsets636
I liked this song so much that I play it at my shows. Thank you. Don't forget Lara fabian , and Joe Bonamassa.
It’s hard to concentrate on anything other than your stunning smile.
Awww thank you
Been awhile since I've heard this wonderful tune . Brings back a harvest of memories. Thank you.
I love this song. It's in my play list!
Bisscute... I love your reactions. They're so pure. So legitimate. Thank you for your channel.
My favorite Neil Young song comes from the same album as this song. It's another great story song called Unknown Legend. Worthy of a reaction for sure.
Love your reaction! I enjoy also watching you enjoying the vibes of this enchanting song. ❤
Cortez the Killer - from either studio (Zuma) or live version (Live Rust)
Neil has written a lot of great but this one is probably my favorite. Thanks.❤
Its a good song, thanks for watching
For an iconic look back at American West Coast music in the 60's. Check out Neil Young's work with Stephen Stills singing "For What It's Worth" by Buffalo Springfield. That band launched Stephen and Neil into international fandom at a period of unrest in the States. Two great musicians with totaly different styles. It's serious stuff, but you may like the vibe as well Bis..❤
This is such a lay back and chill song! Luuv the vibe it puts out! One of my favorite songs is Heart of Gold! Your reaction is right on point! Looking forward to hearing more! Luv ya Biss ❤💛
You really are the woman of many faces to fallin love with......so expressive with each one being better than the last. I would love to see you react to Powderfinger, Cortez the killer, or Sugar mountain....live versions fron the album Live Rust.
Unknown Legend, Like a Hurricane, Cortez the Killer are great Neil Young songs
It's really nice to see a young woman being appreciative of the times before everyone took their cellphone everywhere 😀👍 Your light and friendly vibes have been very enjoyable, too! 😊
Another great Neil Young song to check out would be 'Powderfinger', either the version from the 'Rust Never Sleeps' album or the 'Live Rust' one. Its lyrics are quite sad, though 😌
This is the perfect slow-dance song, in my opinion.
Nice one! I'm glad you enjoyed it! Maybe, for a change of pace, next time do some more rockin' Neil Young. Last time, I gave you the whole spiel about Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young, and the back story to "Ohio", so I won't bore you with it again, but that song has a pretty classic Neil Young guitar riff. That's a good one to check out. Before that, him and Stephen Stills were in the band Buffalo Springfield together. You've probably already heard their song "For What It's Worth", and not realized it. It's used in almost any movie about the 60s, and in fact, you did hear it in "Forrest Gump". "Rockin' In The Free World" is a good one, and I think someone else already mentioned that there's a good live version of him doing it with Pearl Jam. Maybe, "Cinnamon Girl" from his band Crazy Horse. There was also a band called Type O Negative, that did a cool cover of that one. "Heart Of Gold" is another classic of his, but another slower one, and there's a video of him doing it and playing harmonica from the same BBC performance you saw last time, and I already mentioned that Zakk Wylde's band Black Label Society does a good heavier cover of it. "The Needle And The Damage Done" is another good slow one. I think Jewel did a great cover of that. I've suggested you check her out before. I think that like Pearl Jam, she toured with Neil in the 90s, and he was kind of like a mentor.
Such a feelgood reaction to a feelgood song! For more Neil Young, but more electric: Powderfinger. Or if you're in for two long and very emotional guitar solos in an eight-minute song, "Like a Hurricane".
To me (and not just me?), Neil Young is one of the three guys who started making music in the 60s with a very distinct voice, the other two being Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen. Considering your taste in male singers, I think you'd like Cohen at least. "Avalanche" is moody with really cool cellos and is criminally underreacted-to.
Neil is the best. Search for HURRICAINE.
I love Neil Young. Some of my favs are " CINNAMON GIRL" and " COWGIRL IN THE SAND". Great reaction as always. Take care....
Thank you so much
Great choice and reaction Miss Bisscute❤❤❤ Neil Young It's a Great artist and performer. Recomendation for a future reaction of him The song: Heart of Gold It's a Classic.
And you should react to another great singer called Paul Anka with The songs: Put your head on my shoulder and You are my destiny😊
OK - a few Neil Young recommendations (not sure which you've reacted to).
Only Love Can Break Your Heart
Old Man (Feb 1971 version, acoustic, incredible)
The song is beautifully nostalgic of an innocent time. The "instrument" you were wondering about is the broom sweeping or brushes on a snare drum but beautiful effect.
I see, thank you
search COMES A TIME and FOUR STRONG WINDS
i know you like high energy - check out rocking in the free world - the official video is the best
Harvest is my suggestion, oh and "Deep forbiding lake"
What a song… Loved your reaction and review and I too love harmonica. Thanks 💙 Ken
Great old Young tune.. Someday I hope you'll check out "Brothers Comatose with AJ Lee". And their cover of this song..The vocals from AJ, and Harmonies are amazing.. And imo they make it their own..
Hi Bisscute.
Thank you so much for reacting to this beautiful song by Neil Young. For me it brings back memories of my first love. ❤ Such a wonderful memory a song can bring.
Great musician/lyricist, he has made some great music over such a long period of time, and still is. Fabulous. Great reaction 👌
For another Young, romantic vibe check out "Cowgirl in the Sand." ❤
cutie love your music choices
Thank you so much
Nice reaction beautiful Bisscute enjoy 👍
Oh, and by the way, no one can fake a big grin you have listening to this song.
Чудесный вечер под Луной! Чудесный танец и песня! Романтика! Желаю ведущей побольше таких вечеров и настроений!❤

Saw Neil 3 times. 1984 Dallas 1986 1987 farm aid Austin TX. Have 21 albums
You are so right, Bisscute. This song just brings back memories of a much simpler and, in my opinion, a much better time!!
Great choice! A standout track from one of Neil's quieter albums - along with Unknown Legend.
Suggestion: Neil Young anything from the Farm Aid gig.
Hi🙂You should hear "Cost of Freedom" by CSNY and "Dont let it bring you down" by Neil Young. If you do this one make sure to pick the Live video from the Neil Young channel March 24 2022. He does something fun at the beginning of the intro.
